Are we all sure it was Cris Carter and not his fall guy?
Za'Darius Smith has already shattered the franchise record for QB hits in a season with 35 (tracked since 2006).
â Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) December 27, 2019
He's within one TFL of tying Clay Matthews' record in a season (18, tracked since 1999).
He'll crack the top-five in franchise history for sacks with one more.
Top 5 favorite plays in Packer history:
Starr sneak in Ice Bowl
Favre to Freeman Super Bowl 31
Reggie tossing that loud mouth Biatch
Rodgers to Gerg for first down Super Bowl 45
Screen pass to Lacey vs Bares ( 6 TD game)
Starr QB sneak is the greatest play in Packer history. Itâs top 5 iconic plays in NFL history.
Personal favorite is Driver breaking I forget how many tackles against SF and scoring in 2010 wearing the throwbacks.
Reggie disrespecting Carter was fun. But pales in comparison to every time he rag dolled Cowboys 100 year greatest and Dallas Ring of Honor recipient Larry Allen. Reggie moved one of the best ever aside like someone at the grocery store looking for the freshest loaf of bread. He put one of the greatest OT in NFL history on his back with his right arm. Reggie White wasnât a fair fight.
Starr QB sneak Ice Bowl However Starr himself admitted the greatest play may have been the Give 54, the running play to Mercein.
AR12 to Cobb in Bears game
Bert to Sharpe in Detroit Playoff Game
Not a play but Jerry Kramer's 3 FG in the 1962 Championship Game
Reggie's 3 sacks in Super bowl
Favre to Freeman Monday night against Minnesota. Wow.
He did WHAT?!?!??
The best is Dick Hantak the referee smiling with the biggest shit eating grin you've ever seen.
Khalil Mack since 2018:
â ðð§ððĢðð ÂģÂģ ð° (9-3) ð§ (@GoatAaronJones) December 8, 2020
-27.5 sacks
-41 QB hits
-26 TFLs
-65 pressures
in 42 games
Za'Darius Smith since 2019:
-24 sacks
-58 QB hits
-28 TFLs
-76 pressures
in 28 games

If anyone had any doubts about the Smith Bros chemistry or if something was wrong between then this year, Z bought P a car for Christmas.

Couple of items...
That was before the light upgrades at LF...it was dark as shit in that stadium by today's standards.
Second, there was no such thing as instant replay...these refs saw it and got the call right without having to go under the hood.
Those were REAL refs, not like the milk-drinkers we have today.
Fuck instant replay
Be a little surprised if Preston is around next year to receive a Christmas gift.
YUP. Cap casualty.
he may re-structure to stay, I think he knows he's been subpar this year...when he's chippy in the presser's that tells me he knows exactly what (who) the problem is.
He has been severely misused this year. He isn't a CB or safety.
Iâd give him a shot returning kicks/punts.
@GBFanForLife posted:He has been severely misused this year. He isn't a CB or safety.
Iâve posted links with stats that clearly refute this. He is dropping into coverage at the same rate he was last year.
I'm more worried about Aaron Jones not coming back than Preston not coming back.

Well, if you say it is a fact, then it must be the truth.

Mathematics says itâs a fact, not me.
Why the fuck would Preston be cut? One bad year in comparison to his overall career? He was phenomenal last year AFTER getting paid. It would be pretty damn stupid to cut bait due to one bad season.
I'd be way more inclined to get rid of Pettine with that dumbass GM getting some talent in the middle before cutting loose a solid OLB having a bad year.

Listening to Dennis Miller in that fucking audio. There was a genius programming move.

Not advocating either way, but good players get cut all the time. Sometimes a players salary makes a move necessary. Or the need to free up cap space to sign someone else.
I suggest Gunt Fartknuckle actually drafting instead of cutting solid OLBs he just signed.
He did just use the highest draft pick the Packers have had in a while to draft, get this, an OLB.
Well he looks great in the middle of the field.
Fairly certain the Pettine will be gone after the season UNLESS the Packers win the SB or they lose a playoff game NOT because of the defense. And even then, I don't think he's long for GB.
@Henry posted:Dropping into coverage across the middle to pick up a TE or lining up as a CB on a WR?
But the mathematics..........
I'm not good at mathin'.
Is an @nollywoodroll anything like a Christmas roll?
Amos has been a stud at Safety for us. I love the way he has played.

Adrian Amos posted a career high single game grade (94.4) as the #Packers highest graded player against Chicago.

Amos also finishes the regular season as the 2nd highest graded Safety overall (89.4) and with the top coverage grade (91.5) among Safeties. #GoPackGo pic.twitter.com/PGugccwWye
Played very well of late (as has Savage).
Kirksey has looked better, maybe a lot better, not starting. It looks like he's actually making impact plays. The last two weeks I found myself saying out loud couple times a game, "who the F is that guy?" Oh, it's Christian Kirksey. I didn't realize he could that.
I was not a fan of Kirksey but since he lost the green dot helmet he's back to playing instinctively, not having to do a lot of thinking and I think it makes a difference...

That play says, "I really am not into this anymore."
So a guy at Walmart said, âYou look like that guy that play for the Packers!â I said, âWho ZaâDarius Smith?âHe responds, âAre you?â Me: Naw...I get that comparison a lot thoughððð

Smith shops at Walmart......clearly he is under payed.
