Well, that was a buzzkill. It looked from the start the Bucks were on the short end of the "back to back" stick which is really kind of annoying the way the NBA schedules these games.

The Clips last game was Wednesday and Milwaukee played last night and it really showed. Milwaukee probably had their worst shooting game of the year so the final score probably adds up.

LA is 17-6. That other LA team Eeker
For whatever reason the Bucks have played really well against the Heat the last couple of years. I think last year they took 3 of 4 from Miami and this year they've blown them out in one game and lost in OT at their place earlier this year.

The Bucks have usually struggled with Boston and Chicago but this year they are 4-2 against those guys.

The Bucks have some bad losses mixed in there against the better teams in the West (two ugly losses against Memphis, one against SA and a blowout loss against the Clippers) but they have been competitive against some of the better teams in the league. Only the Knicks and Atlanta and Chicago have a better conference record than the Bucks against the East.

Time will tell but this is a pretty good team when they can shoot the ball OK. They are still prone to having some clunkers offensively but this team creates a lot of turnovers and steals on D and their rebounding is significantly better than it has been.
Bucks are currently 21-18 and will be no worse than .500 at the midway point. Currently the 7 seed. 5.5 games behind the 1 seed, 3 behind the Central leaders.

I think they can/should be better than they are but they are currently on pace for 44ish wins. I was hoping for 46-48 which would put them in play for the 5/6 seeds. Avoiding the 8 seed is pretty important this season, Miami will be a ridiculous out. Everything else is winnable in the East in rd. 1.
2 things I've seen:

1) Jimmy Boylan is letting them play, almost playground for BJ and MEllis and with regular rotations.

2) Jimmy Boylan knows how/when to call a timeout. Really like how he has used them during the course of a game. Rest, stopping a run, whatever ... he has changed flows at times.

Gonna be interesting to see how this turns out for marquette warrior jimmy Boylan (that ones for you Al Mac).
No- not surprised. And I am getting frustrated by Jennings' view of himself. He mentions "franchise player", bleats about how he'll be like Carmelo when he is a FA. I loved Hammond's response to that- let me know when your at that level.

It really is time for this team to keep building. Jennings could be part of that, but not if thinks he's a Franchise player now. He's going to be looking for a $75-80M deal, and ain't worth half that.
