The pervert has some things to say about you all

You can always tell which fans have no idea at all...the ones that act as if the Packers winning a preseason game means something.
I hear they won their family night scrimmage too....

No kidding, CAP!

I hope this isn't a sign of how the upcoming season will go.

I'm all for calling the traditional holding (when it's legitimate), but the Rams got away with 2 on their TD drive that were atrocious. The play where Peppers was held was so obvious, I believe they had to intentionally not look.

I can also see after a couple of weeks that, again, only lip service was paid to offensive PI. If I were coaching WR, I'd tell them to push off every time they need to. Similar to how the Seahawks said they hold WRs every play, more than likely it won't be called.

And this isn't limited to just the Packers; every game I've watched, I've seen it multiple times.

In any case, when a game can't 'flow' because penalties are being called on 3-4 consecutive plays, it's excessive. JMHO.

Kyri Thornton - broke mans Jerel Worthy

93 got blowed the **** up on the Pennel sack.

"the great" $herrod got raped around the edge by I am Sam

Janis (Ms. Jackson if you're nasty) made the team

91 - You have a legit chance

Flynn number two - rest of you drunks better sleep it off.

A little production from DuhVante tonight.

Rodgers to Cobb going to be a dream from heaven this year.

Lacy beast mode

No they don't. Not even close. Last year's DL played patty-cake with the O-Line. They're getting pressure now & they'll get better.

Getting pressure while rushing 4. That hasn't happened since 2010. This is not the 2013 defense, or 2012 or 2011.

But if DeSean Jackson had not returned that punt for a TD.

Sam didn't come completely clean on the play but it was awfully close. Sherrod looked like he was wearing cement shoes last night and I hope it was just a poor outing.

8/9...not too shabby.

At least he's not a first round pick, but you'd hope to see something from Thornton at this point.

I'm coming more around to Boris point of view on Sherrod. That was especially bad last night. I don't wan't him being the last line of protection for the franchise if one of our starters gets hurt. There has to be a better option, even if it's a 30 some year old journeyman wasting away on another roster.

Janis looks like the real deal. And, it looks like TT once again found a crop of very good UDFAs. So that's nice.

Zzzzzzzzzzz looking much better than Flynn. I still think they keep both.

Saw lots of positives in the preseason game

Pennell and Janis look like keepers. More diamonds in the rough ROTTT.

Good to see Quarless step up and make some plays as well.

Starting O has a chance to be downright scary.

I completely understand that the 'casual' fans want offense but the 'casual' fan will get downright board watching the NFL if this is how the regular season will go. Heck, I had the game on yesterday and my wife was in the other room and said 'they sure seem to be calling a lot of penalties.' She didn't watch a second of it...it was background noise to her.

I could be wrong but I have to think if the league polled the fans, they would overwhelmingly say 'let 'em play!'

Doesn't matter what the fans want, it's what Vegas wants. Vegas wants points.

As for last night, I think Sherrod is going to have a hard time seeing the field. He got beat by back-ups. He's going to make the team because of his pedigree and a lack of options, but he's not going to challenge for PT. RT Adams seemed to struggle also, or Tackle depth is crap. Linsley seemed to have a rough night also, he's not challenging Genius for anything.

I thought Flynn looked better with the scrubs than Tolzien did last week. I thought Tolzien struggled with a better supporting cast than he had last week. His arm strength was evident, but his accuracy still seems off on the intermediate and long passes. Just my opinion though.

Jayron Elliot looked good, but I think it had more to do with that Tackle playing at a high school level. Adrian Hubbard whipped him also. Elliot definitely has some tallant, looks like a good PS guy.

Janis is going to take the spot that was Abby's. Looks like a good one to develop.

It was nice to see Peppers do what he does best. He abused Greg Robinson. He's going to need some time though, he seemed a little lost in the shuffle on a few plays. That's not surprising for a guy who is playing LB for the first time in a long career.

I thought Pennell looked really good. He walked the Center back multiple times. He seems like he has the potential to be a true NT instead of a NT/3Tech tweener like Raji.

Lattimore and Barrington continue to look good but also average. They need to show consistency in all areas before they get significant PT.

HaHa looked good sometimes and lost sometimes, he clearly has all the tools though. He will need some time. He's capable of being a good Safety though.

From all reports, Raji's having a great camp. Is it the move back to nose tackle, a wake up call for being basically ignored on the open market, or a bit of both?

If his performing below expectations was mainly a result of playing out of position for the past three seasons, what does that say about our coaching staff on defense? I'm sure it's not that cut and dried, but the thought did cross my mind. If he would have played out his contract at the level he played during our SB run, he'd be one of the top paid linemen in the game right now.

I like this defense much more than having 3 NT's play the base 3 down lineman, which we essentially had with Jolly, Pickett, & Raji. As a result Raji was forced to play out of position. The thought was that with those 3 clogging the middle, it would make our run defense formidable. I like the more more penetrating style that we are seeing more of this year.

Plug every hole. Like eating Velveeta.

I think they were trying to hide him on the PS. Not going to happen now. Gave him the fewest snaps of all the defensive players.

8h

Day belonged to OLB Jayrone Elliott, who had three sacks and a forced fumble in just eight snaps, the fewest on defense

"Doesn't matter what the fans want, it's what Vegas wants. Vegas wants points. "

I don't follow the logic here. Vegas wants action because they collect juice, typically 10%. They could care less if its a high scoring or low scoring game. What they care about is getting betters to the sports books. Whatever it is that makes that happen, is what they want.

I think Barclay was set to be the team's MVP this season. Backing up the entire Oline.

Now, if any one of the starting 5 get injured this team is in trouble.

JMO IMHO

Linsley or Taylor are adequate backups at G or C for spot duty. I have no idea what plan B is if Bak or Bulaga go down. That backup isn't on the roster. Sherrod might be able to get through a game at RT. But man, he and Adams looked like a wet bag of **** against guys on a fast track.

The past few years GB has had an adequate line with marginal depth. This year they have the makings of a really good OL with almost no depth.

Ill take a really good OL option and hope for the best. You're right on Barclay. He was an incredible insurance policy. Losing him sucks.

Sherrod's play against a guy that is lower on the Rams depth chart was troubling. It could just be some severe rust, not sure. It seemed as though it was speed that he struggled with, I didn't see how he handled power moves or in the run game. IF it is just a matter of him struggling to handle speedier DE's and he can handle inside moves and power moves, I think that McCarthy could cover up that deficiency. To me your backup LT not being able to handle speed is unsurprising, Marshall Newhouse definitely struggled with that. A heavy dose of Eddie Lacy and some chips from the TE will keep a DE from teeing off on Sherrod if that situation arises.
