So this is Ted's first draft not taking an offensive lineman.

@RobDemovsky: First time Ted Thompson hasn't drafted an offensive linemen. He's taken more there, 18, than at any other spot.

Whiny tools in game threads deftly adapt to being whiny tools in draft threads.

Mad props.

Penis envy runs rapid during the season, penis envy runs rapid during draft

Do you have extra penises lying around?  Gross.

I'm liking Heeney as well, he has almost the exact measurables as Kendricks, but just played on a crappy team. Could also see the kid from Michigan, Jake Ryan as a ILB for the Pack in the 4th or 5th.

Helluva prediction there DD. Nice job.

Re-reading through this thread....lotsa comedy in here.

I still can't believe the Titans didn't make that trade. What Ian Rap was reporting is accurate. If that was the Packers in that slot, even if we didn't have a QB & TT passed on a deal like that, I'd be super pissed off. A chance at 6 starters incl, a QB + a nickle back for Marcus "Miracle Man" Mariota?

It'll be fun see how this plays out in 2-3 years

I agree with you Boris

For that non-trade to work out for the Titans it would seem that Mariotra needs to become an elite QB and Tennessee has so mahy holes to fill that the trade could have helped them some more I think

Redskins gm Scott mccloughan on Leonard Williams...  'Only trade offers received were for fowler, as soon as fowler was off the board, the calls stopped coming in...'

I think that's interesting. Most "draft pundits" had Leonard Williams rated the top player in the draft

I liken him to a bigger Marvin Harrison or maybe a poor man's Jerry Rice, he's smooth and complete, doesn't have that one "it" thing that makes you go "WOW"! but will always be productive inside, outside, underneath and sneaky deep.

Good question. This was a weak draft so o surprise that the best player can't match the best from other drafts. I would put him at below the AJ Green/Jordy level, but only by a bit.

Ron Wolf knew Wayne Simmons was a turd, but he also felt they needed that kind of turd on the defense for his attitude. As Keim said 'If Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3 40 we'd list him as having an eating disorder'.  The question is more often which and how many of these guys do we roll the dice with.

I'm not saying I'm a fan of that line of thinking, just that it is.

But they admit they never talked to the witnesses.

Was looking at Brian's predictions before the draft. None of them bad choices....however...

FIVE of the 7 players he lists were available when the Packers selected & TT passed on them all. Says something....yes?

Wayne Simmons was not just a turd - the guy was a menace to society.   Not much separating him from the Lawrence Phillips of the world.

The "means to an end" approach isn't what I would do and for the most part I think TT stays away from turds or criminals.   Let some other team deal with that baggage and drama.
Yeah there is a massive difference between domestic abuse and drug abuse. Koran Rob had already gotten help for his issues by the time GB signed him if I recall. And the Packers helped Jolly through his recovery rather than dismiss him or worse, enable him. Is anyone surprised Pete Carroll is okay with having a POS like Clark on his team? Just win baby...
