Three backup O-linemen against a good run defense and McCarthy thinks the run game is the key?

Fire his stupid ass at halftime.

I hope that was just coach speak and he doesn't believe it.

Can't win the LOS with 60% back-ups in there, and yet they stubbornly continue to force it deep. Long developing routes = killed QB.

Abby, Adams, Cobb running short routes. Dink and dunk would work.

Even when the Pack has been rolling they'd have games like this in Detroit. Nothing to panic about they'll get it turned around next week after a bit of a break.

OK Sunshine.

You're just messing with us, aren't you?

Nah seriously I've just learned to be mentally prepared for the beatdown at Ford Field.

Tom is trash talking Stupid Face....

McCarthy always tells us practice is going great and his team is prepared. Suffice it to say, I don't believe him anymore.

I really wish he would have gone for the extra money Oakland was supposedly offering him.

F@$* me. I've lived in this God-forsaken state for a decade and haven't heard crap from Lions fans before this. Tonight, they are coming out of the woodwork and my phone is buzzing non-stop.

I've never been one to advocate knee-jerk reactions, but these offensive failures have been a pattern this season and the team is completely deflated. Players do respond to a sense of urgency - look what happened to these very Lions after heads began to roll. I'm not saying anyone should lose their job now (perhaps there will be time for that this offseason), but maybe MM needs to take back the play calling duties. They HAVE to try something different.

Betcha Hines Ward texted him that.

Peter King's opinion on an actual football play doesn't mean much to me. He's an interviewer and compiler. Never been a good FB analyst as opposed to the gossip and politics of the league.

Imagine that. A short controlled passing game to cover up a weak OL that moves the ball methodically down the field.

You need WRs who aren't easily bumped off of their routes to run a successful short passing attack. Not many guys like that on this roster.
