23 mil a year? The Packers I believe would happily pay that:

1. WR DAVANTE ADAMS, GREEN BAY PACKERS

Adams made it clear he wanted to become the highest-paid player at the wide receiver position, and it’s hard to argue against him deserving that distinction. Matters become more complicated when you try to determine who is technically the highest-paid wide receiver and what the true annual value of their contracts are. A franchise tag for Adams will be just shy of $20 million, making it less likely given Green Bay’s salary cap challenges ahead β€” but not impossible to workaround.

Strengths:
– Route running
– Releases at the line
– Hands

Weaknesses:
– Durability

Scheme Fit/Role:
No. 1 WR: Davante Adams is an elite No. 1 receiver in any offense in the NFL. He has scheme versatility β€” able to carve up man or zone coverage β€” and has shown to be a star in multiple systems. Any receiver-needy team would be in the running for his services and he may even try and engineer a package deal with Aaron Rodgers. A reunion with college quarterback Derek Carr in Las Vegas is another obvious connection.

Recent Injury History:
Adams has had several minor injuries that have caused him to miss pockets of time over the past couple of years. Ankle, hamstring and toe injuries have all slowed him, but there are no major concerns.

Contract Projection: Four years, $93 million ($23.25M per year, $65 million total guaranteed)

Bottom Line:
Adams is the best receiver in the game and one of the jewels of any free agency class. He won't come cheap, but he is a transformative player.

Hmmm. De’Vondre Campbell posting on Instagram that he’s at Lambeau Field.

Extend him, Gute, before his contract voids!

@keningalls:  He’s got less than 5 hours to put ink to paper for the Packers to take advantage of some cap savings before his contract voids.

@keningalls:  Packers players De'Vondre Campbell, Robert Tonyan, Chandon Sullivan, and Kevin King all have 2022 contract voids triggering at midnight February 21st.

Extensions must be done before to prevent dead cap acceleration into 2022:

King $3M
Tonyan $1.88M
Sullivan $970K
Campbell $808K

Per Twitter FWIW.

BREAKING: Per Source, the Green Bay #Packers have engaged with multiple teams, including the Washington #Commanders and Atlanta #Falcons, in preliminary trade discussions centering around former 1st-round QB Jordan Love, with talks rapidly picking up in the last 24 hours.

Breaking News from Twitter? (You did write FWIW) Still, it IS interesting, thanks.

Anyone have updates on these players.

Sure, but seriously doubt Campbell flew to GB because he wanted some mid Feb Wisconsin weather... more likely the funked up FO requested he come in so they can talk.

I don't think it typically works that way. Generally the agent does all the negotiating and the player only shows up to sign the contract. There are exceptions, of curse.

Honestly, when you think about it, the Packers haven't been to a Superb Owl since they lost Greg Jennings.  That's who Rodgers should have lobbied for.

I saw a replay of sorts of the Owl against the Steelers on YT. They showed the Jennings TDfrom the back of the EZ that Polamalu drilled him as he caught it. The ball came out and Jennings landed on it. And got back a hold of it in one motion as he stood up.
