That has been going on steady since the Lombardi years and only recently stopped during COVID.  Not sure what they are doing now.

They all stay in a local hotel during TC.  Vets get to check out a bit early.  Same thing they did last year.

I was trying to find something definitive online earlier but didn't really have much luck. There was an article from 2022 saying they might return to St Norbie's after COVID and some construction kept them away for a few years but nothing from the last couple of years.

Eh, it's kind of an antiquated tradition anyway. Maybe it just ran its course.

This kid intrigues me .... two years ago he was projected as a First Round pick, so you know the talent is there.

This is why you don't pay Jordan Love $220M. WTF?!? A 7th rounder picks him off?!?! FUCK!!

Blow It all up....the QB sucks...this team sucks

And sucks more than all the other players.

Sorry a few days late, but I was at the Friday practice (last day of no pads) and thought I'd provide some tidbits:

* QBs - Clifford took virtually all the starter reps with no Love (yet); Pratt is the clear #3 at this time

* RBs - not sure why, but I always assumed Jacobs was bigger - one thing that is for sure, his vision is ELITE...there were plays that blocking kind of sucked that he was able to slip through a small crease - very impressive.  Dillon looks really good - maybe he took this offseason as a wake-up call?  Lloyd is a muscular dude (maybe this is why I thought Jacobs was smaller)

* WRs - very tight knit group; Watson's speed is very evident vs the other WRs

* TEs - Musgrave built like a WR; with no Kraft practicing, Sims and Davis got lots of reps...fairly confident the Pack will keep all 4 on game day roster

* OL - a jumbled up mess, especially at RT; Gary took the breakfast, lunch, and supper from the plates of Telford and Dillard; the interior (no Myers) did just fine; Walker did ok, but had a couple misses; a bit difficult to critique with no pads, but the Pack is definitely spraying the guys around; most passing plays, Clifford had near zero time; there were some apparent cracks up the middle for run plays though (Jacobs' vision), but maybe this is where the LBs need to support the running plays better since the DL is going to be playing in attack mode at the LOS

* DL - other than the aforementioned Gary, the only other one that held his own seemed to be Slaton - some nice penetration; Clark and Wyatt were a bit invisible, but with no pads, maybe they weren't going full go

* LBs - Cooper and Walker appear to be giants next to McDuffie...Wilson seems to be getting a fair chance to get some real reps on defense...a lot of energy from the LB coaching staff

* DBs - McKinney is master class - he was making plays all over the place and jumped a route that would have been a pick 6; Alexander has nice command of the DBs; Stokes appears to be healthy; Bullard seemed to be very active too

* STs - lot of time spent on kickoff/punt coverage/returns - can really tell the Pack is putting a lot of time into the new kickoff rules - I expect the punt/kick coverage units will be many of the same players; Dillon was out there on the kick return group as one of the front blockers...the coaches were telling Dillon (and the other up guys) to wedge the coverage unit out...at least on the day I was there, the coaches wanted Nixon to punch the return straight up the middle; seems like Carlson will be the kicker, but Joseph has legit leg strength...a lot of cursing/energy from Basaccia

* Random - since I have season club seats, I was able to go on the sideline and stood by reporters like Demovsky, McCarren, etc.  Demovsky almost seems bored with some of the no-pad practices as he was constantly chatting with the other reporters and looking on his phone; quite a contrast to McCarren - he stood 10 feet from me during the practice and rarely talked to anyone else...very observant of what was going on...the position groups right in front of me were primarily the RBs and LBs

Heard an interview with Evan Williams on the radio today and he mentioned that McKinney makes the call on every play as to which safety plays up and who plays back. He's going to make this defense so much better.

Nice report, KK!

I like the 'contrast' between Larry and Demovsky.
It shows why one is an intelligent reporter, and one is better suited for 'fluff'.

Of course, with McCarren's playing experience, he has the advantage of knowing what to look for, and being able to interpret what he sees.
However, if Demovsky wanted to be a better reporter, he'd spend his time talking to Larry and learning.
JMHO.

McCarren is a former player and studies the guys like a coach.

Demovsky is a guy collecting a paycheck.

I'm not saying anything bad about Demovsky, his reporting is pretty decent. It's just human nature.

Koopla with the 'Eternal Gameface' report.😉

@ByRyanWood:  Matt LaFleur says #Packers TE Tucker Kraft won't practice today but is getting closer to returning: "He is asking every day to be out there, which is what you want. As soon as the medical staff gives us clearance, he will be out there."

Read today Kingsley admitted it was a partial tear of the ACL. It must have been a very minor partial tear or there would have been surgery if it was a significant partial tear. But I'm no doctor, maybe one of our resident Docs can chime in on this.
