OK, this joke is having the same impact on me as a Floridarob joke. Just call me politically correct and move on.

Only if I can use the billy club on you.

Just when you think it couldn't be any worse.  I have a gift.

Returning to fan PTSD, outside of "any given Sunday" this game should be a win.  The Wizard has even demonstrated a workable plan to limiting more mobile QBs with Clay in the middle and OLBs holding contain.  BUT I still won't believe it until I see it from this team.  If every game looks like a freakin' "trap game" (hate that term) to fans, I sure as hell hope it does to the Packers as well.

Yeah. I don't want our Packers to be a 49er tonic... We need to nip this **** in the bud and pummel these assholes. Their win streak of 4 games since 2012 ends here.

Aaron Rodgers ought to light SF up for a pile of TDs. I think our D will force Kaepernick out of the game entirely. Matthews, Guion and Perry are going to have a field day going against SF's right side. Peppers, Neal and Elliott will be the beneficiaries when Kaep tries to evade to his left. I think Daniels will break on through to the other side to finish the job.

Our secondary should have a fun night hitting the INT button.

I think we see Montgomery take a return to the house as well.

MEI-Ka-Bong, it is pretty early, but we took care of Jay Cutler playing probably the best football we have seen him play, Russell Wilson (completing 70% of his passes) and Alex Smith. Eventually made them all look like chumps. STL, SD and DEN will give us a good read on where we stand there, after we put Kaepernick in his place. Foles, Rivers & Manning are sucking it this year too, yet none as badly as Kaepernick.

We literally will not be facing a top tier QB until week 16 v. Carson Palmer, if he lasts that long. I have doubts that he will.

QB rankings from Football Outsiders going into week 4:

Brady

Rodgers

Palmer

Roethlisberger

Ryan

Dalton

Carr

Taylor

E. Manning

Romo

Mariota

Cousins

How awesome is that? I love it. Dude is a good OL coach. I think he has already helped us quite a bit. Look at the job Don Barclay has done filling in for Bulaga. Remarkable.

Don't understand why some of you are so afraid of Kaeperdick. Russell Wilson is a better player in every way; better runner, better passer, smarter, etc. and we limited him pretty well. Kaeperdick got to be himself in the past because he could lean on a great OL, a great running game, good receivers, and a strong D to keep them in the game when he ****ed up. Other than maybe good receivers and an active, hard hitting D he doesn't have any of that any longer. They're asking him to carry the team, because they're paying him to, and he sucks. If they can limit his running then this will be like the pre-Harbaugh beat downs we laid on the Whiners.
This has the makings of a perfect "trap game" for a number of reasons but then I have to remind myself of several things:

Harbaugh has been replaced by Tomasula

Vic Fangio is no longer there - and he scouted GB well in the past

The Smiths (Aldon and Justin) aren't in the lineup

3 of 5 OL are new

The entire secondary minus Eric Reid has turned over

2 of their 4 starting LBs are new

Vernon Davis and Navarro Bowman aren't 100%

On paper, this should be a double digit Packers victory but as we all know they have to play the game on the field.  Still, given all the personnel and coaching changes I like our chances even if the 9ers have had past success against us

MM Thursday press meeting, just concluded:

Green Bay - The following is a summary of Packers coach Mike McCarthy's pre-practice press conference Thursday morning:

  •  (On Guion) Looks good. Strength and conditioning in excellent shape. We'll see how he looks.
  • (On rust) He's played a lot of football. It's important to cut him loose. It's a fair question.
  • (On returns) Been good. Not a lot of opportunities. When we have been able to get it outside the 20. Blocking has been excellent. Good technique and fundamentals. Special teams is a big challenge as we all know. Credit to coaches we have gotten off to a good start.
  • (On energy this week) Been great. Huge mental preparation for us. Big hurdle for us. Playing football team that played very, very well at home. Huge challenge for us.
  • (On rushing Kaepernick) That's a challenge each and every week. He can make so many plays with his feet.
  • (On combining QB and WR rooms) It's organizing your staff. It's something been in place a number of years. Wanted to make sure same message from coaches is the same.
  • (On Eddie Lacy) I went off recommendations of medical staff. Those really decisions I don't get involved in unless crunch time. He wouldn't have been active if he wasn't ready to play. We hit the target of how we wanted to use our running backs.
  • (On "free" plays) There's so much variance with cadence. He's improved with it. It's not just him, it's the whole unit. It's something that' practiced. Great work for our defense. It's good to be part of those plays, it's a form of a scramble drill.
  • (On defensive offsides) Definitely, Aaron is outstanding with the variation. He does a phenomenal job with that.
  • (On Burnett) Getting better. Going to meetings and see how he moves in pre-practice.
  • (On Vaughters) He had a biceps injury.
  • (On usng IR/DTR on Quarless) He's a core player for us. You want to make sure he gets back. He's a starter. We don't have 11 starters on offense and defense. I'm glad we have that. I'd rather use it than not use it.

Easy there Princess Unikitty.

Settle down Francis. Dude gave up 5 QB Hurries, but ZERO QB Hits, ZERO Sacks. What more do you want, against THAT front 7?

ZERO QB Hits and ZERO Sacks against BOTH SEA & KC.

Trophies, if it was Tom Brady back there that stat line would have been much different.

Can someone with access to advanced stats tell us what % of Rodgers passes have come from outside the pocket?  I'm guessing 50% or more and I don't recall any designed roll outs yet.    Long story short, the tackles are not playing well and Rodgers is covering it up.

They are playing well enough.  He is "moving" more than "scrambling," IMO.  There's a difference.
