Could be.  Was in AZ in late September and again over Thanksgiving week and my allergies were acting up.   Worse in Tucson area than Tempe.

My favorite was in the middle of COVID spotted people running or biking by themselves - with no one around - wearing a mask.  ??????

My 2 cents: I went along with all the mandates. I got my shots. I wore my mask. At the same time, many government officials lied through their fucking teeth about a shit load of things related to Covid. Several had their hair done and hosted dinners when we weren’t allowed the same privileges…They can all go to Hell and good fucking luck getting the sheep lined up next time.

Many lied?  I’d go with some lied, others went with the info they had at the time.

Several had their hair done and went to dinners?  Yup, several out of how many?

Agree about getting the sheep lined up tho.  I have been worried about misinformation since the WMD lies years ago.  Now with this AI nonsense it is going to be near impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Make that impossible.

Carry on.

I saw that too.  And got yelled at for not wearing one when I ran by someone.  It was a time when they were still figuring out the virus and people were scared because not much was known yet, hospitals were full and there was no vaccine yet.   It was also believed at that time it could be transmitted from 6ft away, even outdoors.  They might have been running alone but could be anticipating passing by others.

I've had 5 shots so far and had covid once despite living with two 6 year old petri dishes who spend a lot of time with many other petri dishes.

I've had all the recommended jabs and did not get covid. Or, if I did I had no symptoms, and I'm in the at risk category. There was a lot of unknowns back at the start and some reactionary measures taken. As we learned more it became more clear what to do.

At the start people's reaction to the vaccine ranged from "it isn't anything worse than the flu" to "I'm not going out of my house" . As things progressed, views seemed to come closer to the middle. I just decided to accept everyone's view as their own, and not be upset by it, even if it varied greatly from my own.

🤭😆

“Hey eff face, most of society doesn’t make $100 million and can just live the rest of their live. Most of society actually had to go to work, and with mandates, you had to make a decision,” Recco continued. “Call it what you want, but you sound like a snot-nosed little rich guy.”

Welcome to NY/NJ MF'er

When they opened with, “I’m with the government and I’m here to help.” I knew we were in trouble.😀

Can a mod please delete all of these fucking covid posts from this football thread?!?!? How many times do we have to rehash this shit. Nobody is changing anyone's mind at this point.

I got the ‘vid in Sept of 2022 and honestly I’ve had much worse illnesses.  I had the flu right before the pandemic in Feb of 2020 and was messed up for weeks.

Got several jabs of the vaccine over time.  Felt it was the right thing to do after talking with our doctor and as a family.  Didn’t really care what politicians or Rodgers had to say about it.

I’m just wondering when the Rodgers honeymoon period will wear off in NY.   It’s all fine and good when you are winning.

Yup, nobody likes  lawyers till they need one, everyone dislikes  to buy insurance till they need it and we all hate the gov till we flood, burn or get attacked by a worse government than ours.

The reason for the mask remarks is that in the early days there was a shortage and hospital workers like my nurse wife couldn’t get masks to work with the sick and dying. Once supplies were better, he changed his tune.

He said "They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can't get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk!" "

Let me repeat....  "They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching Coronavirus"

Why is the Surgeon General spreading missinformation on Twitter?   Or... was this true and he later spread misinformation when advising the public to wear masks?

Point is, they didn't know and they acted as if they did.   Fuck them, that cost so much public trust I don't think they will ever recover.

This all brought on by Rodgers..... Pretty good discussion honestly..... But I agree let's move forward and stay on topic.

Let's stick to Rodgers in this thread.

I’m just waiting for the trade request to Minnesota.

Jets are a disaster.  They are keeping Saleh and Douglas despise both guys being highly unsuccessful in their roles.  Good news is Saleh can continue keeping receipts.

Call me crazy, but I think the guy Minnesota targets is Russell Wilson.  I could see Wilson having a big year throwing to Addison and Jefferson.

Sooooooo glad we moved on from Rodgers this year.  I'm convinced that this team is no better in the standings with Rodgers instead of Love, the WRs would be worse b/c Rodgers would berate them after every incompletion then refuse to talk to them, and the media circus would have been in Green Bay and not NY.  And that doesn't factor in that Rodgers likely gets hurt in GB too.  Why?  B/c that's what 38 year old NFL players do - they get hurt.

Been up and down with Love this season but the right football decision was made.

You may want to read the entire  link you posted as well as numerous others which have taken comments out of context or use quotes that were made in the first weeks of the pandemic when the spread was still being studied

“The rating = missing context”.

The trust you lost is also probably from people who told everyone it would go away and that it was all under control.   Gone by Easter?   Just like the flu?     It did happen and the lies and misinformation cost lives

Oh FFS.....

Please stop the Covid posts

Keep it to football. Any other responses after mine relating to Covid or other off topic will be deleted
