I thought the Texans would make noise this year, I saw that offense being scary and defense good enough to keep them in games.

I was dead wrong.

Sticking to football....I thought the Cowboys would be really good this year. I was afraid of the Vikings. I thought that the pee-wee expansion team with Bengal uniforms wouldn't win a game. I also forgot to stretch
I thought Minnesota would still go 10-6 and Chicago would go 5-11 or 6-10.

I thought Clifton was just about done after the Buffalo game.

I thought we'd miss Nick Barnett more than we have, and that Hawk and Bishop would be regularly exploited in coverage on early downs.

I thought we'd activate Al Harris.

I thought Donald Driver was about as close to indestructible an NFL player as there is in the league.

I thought our DL was pretty much toast after Neal went down.

I thought we'd IR Starks.

I thought we'd keep five TE's.

I thought it was too much to ask of Shields to return kicks (I still think so regarding punts) this year.

I thought LT was pretty much done after last season.

I thought Brad Jones would take another step forward instead of getting hurt.

I thought Ookie had already peaked.

I thought it wasn't possible for one team to get 18 penalties in one game.

I thought more people would recognize/appreciate what our RB group can and does do instead of dwelling on what they wish they could do.

I didn't think Coach could sum up my thoughts so exact.

I thought TJ Lang would take a big step forward.

I thought Jason Spitz would get a lot more playing time.

I thought COLLEDGE!!!! Mad Mad Mad would suck.
I thought Bishop would be exposed as a liability.

I thought Crosby would have a big year.

I thought the punting situation would continue to be a dumpster fire.

I thought this team would be carried by the offense.

I thought Bulaga would be starting at LT by now.

I thought GB would get off to a fast start.

I thought the Bears would be a complete disaster.

I thought Bong and I had potential.

I thought Underpants would take a huge step forward at DB.

I thought Brad Jones would have a big year.
I thought the Vikings would not lose another game other than their 1st one after trading for Randy Moss.

I thought Brandon Jackson was utterly useless. He's no great shakes, but he is adequate and doing just fine which is better than I thought he could do. I was wrong about him.

I thought the Pack would cut James Starks and put him on the P-Squad. Wrong again.

I thought the Jets would run for over 200 yards vs. the Pack. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

I thought the Detroit Lions offensive line would be terrible again this year. It's much better than it had been, and that's one of the reasons they stayed with the Pack in the game at Lambeau. I was wrong about their line.

I thought Sam Bradford would need a year under his belt to be any good. He's already pretty good considering he's got the worst set of WRs in the NFL.
I thought Payton Manning wouldn't amount to much. Not mobile enough when being a mobile QB was all the rave. That was my thinking.

I thought Mike Vick would be the best thing since sliced bread. I was eating crow but now it's tasting more like prime rib.

You mean you have a Brazilian too?!?!?

------------

I was wrong about Tramon Williams. I knew he was adequate but did not think he could be as good as he is.

I thought Jermichael Finley would stay healthy all year.

I was wrong about Tampa Bay & Josh Freeman. Josh is a good QB.

I was wrong about Sam Bradford. I thought he would be a complete bust.

I was wrong about the Cowboys playing out the string the rest of the season.

I was wrong about the Packers record up to the bye.

The Bears are better than I thought they'd be.

I was wrong about Clifton being done.

I was wrong about Colledge.

I was wrong about Rodgers. I thought his stats would be off the charts as in best in NFL history. The loss of Finley may be affecting this. (Domino effect)

I was wrong about the Niners running away with the division (They still might win it though)

I was right about Half Empty not even opening this thread Big Grin
I thought SF had a shot to go 12-4. More like 4-12

I thought Brandon Underwood would be the next up and coming corner. Go figure it was Sam Shields instead.

I thought Rodgers would have a monster year. So far it's been pedestrian.

I thought the Packers should have taken Best over Bulaga

I thought Brent would have a down year- oh wait

Anyone who doesn't open this thread and post in it can be counted among the true dumdums on the site. I'll enjoy taking roll call on this one, because everyone is wrong about a bunch of stuff.
I thought the Texans and Cowboys would be better than they showed.

I thought Oakland would suck again.

I thought Sherman and TxA&M would suck again... they don't.

I thought my new boss was gonna be better than the old boss.

I thought we were better than this.

I actually think Shermy could be a very good college coach. He can micromanage the crap out of everything, can have 12 punters if he wants, and will sell the boosters on the program. I mean that in a good way - I'd be stunned if Shermy ever had a whiff of shady recruiting stink tossed his way. He'll also build a good OL and running game, and that wins a lot of games in college.

Trouble is he works for a poseur school that thinks it should contend for the national championship every year when that's simply not the case.

I was also wrong about Peprah. He can play.

Jeeze, lay a guilt trip hey, JJSD. Wink

1. I was wrong to question Mike McCarthy's intelligence after the Washington game, and I was wrong to post under the influence after the same game.

2. I was wrong to share my deep and sophisticated derogatory names for Packer opponents last week, although they are a big hit at the bar I swear, and my girlfriend assured me they are hilarious. Go figure.

3. I was wrong about Jared Bush and Daryn Colledge. Crow: yum.

4. I was wrong about the Lions, I really thought they would surprise people this year. Ditto SF 49ers.

5. I was wrong the Giants would kill the Cowboys last week. Really wrong.
