I missed a few

I thought Brak wasn't a casual COCK lover

I thought Cal Buc was only a Fresno State fan- guess I missed the Boise State fan part

I thought Iowa was supposed to win the Big Ten this year
Going back a few years....

I really had a problem with Thompson hiring Mike McCarthy. This was a guy who was the QB coach for the Packers during the worst year of the Ron Wolf era and Favre did not have a particularly good year under his tutelege in '99. When Thompson hired him, McCarthy had come off a year as an offensive coordinator when the 49ers were one of the worst offensive units out there.

And once in awhile I'll still cringe at a Packer performance, like the one vs. Tampa in '09 and wonder if McCarthy is the right man for the job. But overall, McCarthy has been way way better than I thought he'd be. To be sure, he isn't going to be compared to Vince Lombardi anytime soon, but he is a much better coach than I gave him credit for, and Thompson seemed like he found a pretty good guy to work with.
I was wrong again too. I thought MM was at the end of his rope after the Miami game. I know the Packers were piled up with injuries but the coaching staff really has gotten these young guys prepared.
I really didn't see much hope for the season after Finley went down.

I wanted them to draft Bryant over Bulaga. One could still argue either way on that one because Bryant has been awesome the last month but I think the Packers took the right guy.

I thought Rodgers would be better.

I thought Masthay would be worse.

I thought the defense would regress.

I thought the Cowboys would be good and I thought the Bears would suck. One could argue the last point but 7-3 is pretty good no matter how you slice it.

That was my brother.

Give him a break.

He can't help it that he's attracted to brunettes.

Fixed
I was wrong in picking the Vikings to win this week. I figured the Vikings would treat this like their own personal Super Bowl. Maybe they did, but they still looked like garbage. I am oh so happy to be wrong!!!

And I will make sure I pick against the Pack again this week against the Falcons. They seem to do better when I pick against them, it's sort of a reverse jinx.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Jennings is always a candidate to be out on the street every week, he's sort of constantly on the bubble.
I was wrong when I said the AFC South would send 3 teams to the playoffs. It was a leap, but I thought each of those teams shored up their needs pretty well via the draft and would have solid seasons. The Titans, Colts, and especially the Texans are underachieving I don't understand why. The Colts have had a lot of injuries so they kind of get a pass, but the Titans and Texans have all the pieces of SB teams...Good QBs, good WRs, good Olines, good RBs, good pass rushers, good LBs, etc. I thought both teams had good coaches also, so I don't understand why they're crapping out.

Yeah, I was also one of the people that thought he should be on the hot seat after the Miami game. With the injuries, there is no reason he should not be up there, but I'm sure BB in New England will be given the nod because of having FAVRespn right in his back yard.

Also, TT deserves to be an easy choice as exec of the year. The all around drafting and signing of undrafted players this past season was incredible. All his draft picks are on the team. He also traded for A Smith during the season.
I hope this forum isn't wrong by heaping praise, post season awards and numerous thread patting players, coaches and executives on the back with 6 games left. A one and out this postseason would make this a disappointing season, IMO. Also, I was wrong about opening another bottle of red wine Saturday night.

Hmmm, could you break down this paragraph a little bit ... i believe there are some problems that are a tad glossed over.
Example: Titans, good QB?

Physically, he is talented. But mentally, he is completely a head case particularly under Fisher. Perhaps he'd be better under a different coach, but perhaps he's always going to be a head case.

I think he's had a tough time going from being one of the all time great college players to being just an ordinary NFL player. To say he hasn't adjusted well is an understatement.
Love this post...

I was wrong about Tramon. Thought he could be a little above-average, at best.

BTW, I'm joining the movement to officially drop his last name. From now on, he's just Tramon. Like the Brazilian soccer players. First name only is needed.

I was wrong about Brandon Jackson. While he's no stud, he's played much better than I though possible.

I was wrong about the penalties issue. McCarthy really has gotten it "cleaned up."

I was wrong about Mike Neal. Had little clue who he was and why we were drafting him in the second round. What a beast.

I was wrong about the Vikings. Thought they would have another run in them...

surprised me as well. I had come to grips that I would expect a lot of laundry during Packer games.
