I really believed, somehow, someway the Packers might find a way to lose this game in Philly. I thought Vick would make just enough plays to beat us.

WRONG!!! WRONG!!! WRONG!!!!

The Pack's D was excellent. Rodgers was very good, Starks was very good. The Pack didn't blow them out, but make no mistake, getting a win over Vick and all those weapons Philly has in their own stadium is no small task. A job well done by everyone on the Pack. Happy to be wrong.
When Turner Gill lead Buffalo to the postseason, they had a few games on TV that year. I thought Starks was extremely impressive(minus the Badgers game). But that OL had a bunch of pedestrians blocking. He's got excellent hands and I like the way he protects the ball when he's running. TT might have hit a homer with that draft pick.

So he drafts an injured Harrell and an injured Starks. You can take those chances once in awhile when you hit on your other picks.
You have to give McCarthy credit for holding Starks out and keeping those rookie legs fresh. If he was using Starks all year long, Starks would be hitting the rookie wall right now.

I love the fact that he's always falling forward when he gets tackled. Looks like Edgar has taught him the "high & tight" method of ball security too. Most important thing is ball security and the Eagles were trying to strip it at every chance they had.

Back on topic. I was wrong to bet the over yesterday Smiler

+1. Too bad we couldn't have done that with Bulaga - I think that might be what's getting to him lately. But he is still worlds better than Guacamole or Barbie.
I picked Atlanta to win this one.

I was wrong and it feels oh so good to be wrong!!! And I was just incredibly incredibly wrong!!! I just watched the greatest offensive performance in Packer history. How the hell did I pick against them?
Since replacing Al Harris in the starting lineup who has played better at the CB position than Williams in the NFC? Maybe the guy on our own team (Woodson) but that's about it. Even better is the fact that they locked him up before he hit the open market.

IC brings up an interesting point as well.

If the draft happened all over again how high would Sam Shields have been picked? While he had some problems yesterday, he is a starting level CB right now and for a guy that runs a 4.26-40 I am amazed that nobody drafted the guy.

I'd say the bottom half of R1?

Credit to TT and his staff for doing their homework on guys like Starks and Tramon and Shields and many other late rounders or non-drafted guys.

People can lament about guys like AJ Hawk not living up to expectations but Matthews and Rodgers would certainly be Top 5 picks if there was a redo on the draft, and Raji is looking more and more like he's worth the Top 10 selection as well.

No argument. Best corner in all of football period
I defended Jones the week before this post, but lost it on him during panic mode in the eagles game

ok.. I'm done with Jones.. I defended him last week, but no more

he will be gone

I think the guy has potential to make great catches, which he did. Thats why coaches need to be able to keep their cool. Keep him!

Thats about the only wrong call all year though .... I did doubt the teams ability to be a play off team after the Lions game, but said they could do it if they regrouped.

Yeah, but he was supposed to have 60 catches and 900 yards this past season.

Just for Artist's sake (and a couple others I think), I was wrong when I predicted Javon was put up numbers like that this season.
I have to admit. Given the amount of injuries on this team, I never thought this was possible. Love/credit to McCarthy & Staff, Thompson & Co., Rodgers & Co., Woodson & Co. This has been amazing run. I love these guys.
I was wrong about Cutler having gained good experience running a two minute drill against the Packers.

His good experience was actually knowing what was in store who him all day and deciding that he would be safer on the sidelines.

You about took the words outta my mouth. I thought they would run out of gas due to the injuries. One more to go though!

Word. We're not the team we could have been with Finley and Grant, but if we can somehow pull this off, I like our chances for getting back here again. Absolutely amazing work by Ted and the coaching staff this season.
