Black people love good grammar.

Ciara dated 50 Cent and Amare Stoudamire. Russ has a big hole to fill. Eventually...

It seems like Russ likes to tell us about his abstinence plans so we know what a swell guy he is. If God told him, right on Russ. Keep it between the two of you though. That or give us a little insight to the talk you had with God about the divorce. Because if he talks to you about sex and interceptions then I have to believe when it comes to divorce, in the words of Warden Norton, He must have said something!

My daughters friend from WI left this morning after staying with us for a week. She told us a crazy story about her mom.

When we lived in WI my daughters friend was over all the time. We had met her mom many times and over the years kind of formed the opinion her mom was a skittish nut. My daughters friend never really talked about life at home. We never asked. Never really talked about it.

This week when she was visiting she opened up and said she grew up thinking her mom was stupid. An embarassment.

Two years ago her mom told her she was hit by a drunk driver in Milwaukee when she and brother were babies. She suffered moderate brain damage but never told them. She did the best she could to raise them but felt if they knew what happened they would have treated her differently. 15 years of work and anguish.

Last Summer the mom and daughter took a trip to Arizona together and just talked. Hung out and have become best friends. Going again in two weeks.

The daughter works 2 jobs because she likes to do things. She's 17. She's looking at colleges now. Great student.

This is how I think God does things. Not a lot of talk. Not a lot of PR.

Sorry for the story. Life is a beautiful mess though.

I have a few questions for Russell....

Does God talk to you after EVERY play, or just at certain dramatic moments?

Who is "them", exactly?

What if God told you to throw an interception?

Start calling you Hallmark Johnny.

That's the action sequence.

The definition of God and any other all powerful creative being is nothing more than what's already inside us and that's what makes it beautiful and horrible all at the same time.

Good story Hallmark Johnny.

Sometimes your religious bull**** meter simply explodes through the top.  This is one of those times.

"I just want to see how you respond."

If his imaginary friend who lives in the sky and smites you for masturbation or butt secks is omnipotent, shouldn't he already know how Rusty is going to respond?  Why would he need to see it?

"But most importantly I want them to see how you respond."

So either his imaginary friend who lives in the sky and smites you for masturbation or butt secks (a) really didn't know how those people would respond or (b) was Rong about how Rusty's response would play with the heathens because he wouldn't have predicted that Rusty would decide to go the blowhard route, thereby turning off said heathens.  And the Jews too.

That Hippie Super Hero sure is something.

Why?

Why should anyone judge something that is personal like that? I get when people are trying to force something on you, etc.  But why hate on someone's own experience with their own beliefs?

I don't want to get this too far off-topic, but we really don't need to spend much time pointing out instances in history when letting religious nuts run amok led to some things that were kinda bad for everyone.  We really wouldn't need to go much farther back than 13 seconds ago to come up with several examples.

I'm not saying Rusty is an agent of evil, I'm just saying letting loony-tunes **** go unchecked has consequences, particularly when whomever is spewing that loony-tunes **** is in a position of influence.

IMHO.

Understood.  I think everything should be questioned, especially if it's put out there to influence others, as this clearly was.  The fact that it's 'religious' doesn't exempt it from scrutiny.

Again JMO.

Bottom Line.

I'm really good at judging.  I do it all the time, so do you.

SEMANTICS!  Who loves ya baby!

After that sincerely nice story, there's no way I can post this in response to you're telling us about your daughter's friend staying with you for a week.

Well, to be fair, there's no way I can post this and feel really good about it.
