Coaching. Dillon obsession. Love still missing the medium throws wildly. All negs.
All in all, not a bad contest.
JLove looks great and there is some legit young talent on O in Reed & Musgrave.
And ... we just got more INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE that DILLON, BAKH, SAVAGE (among several others) are not going to be with the organization when they hopefully make a serious run some time in the near future.
PS what a waste of a year to start developing a legitimate defense.
The Joe Barry era can't end fast enough.
Yeah yeah yeah GB lost. But these refs were atrocious. Bad spots over and over. Letting Drake London be the second coming of Michael Irvin with those push-offs.
Let’s hope the Elgton and Van Ness injuries aren’t serious
Just hate losing. The last drive really stunk too. Ugh…….
The 4th quarter offense and the result sucked, but I give JL a lot of props for the composure he showed on the last drive, not getting frazzled, staying positive and gathering the team back together.
All positive with me. This is a super young team that is learning how to win and that will take some time. GB had many opportunities to win this game but just fell short. Alexander played extraordinarily poor from what he normally does and that certainly won't continue. GB was missing their HOF LT, LG, RB1 and WR1. Multiple dropped INTs from the secondary, etc.
All is good in GB and the future looks pretty damn bright.
I wish MLF would have let Carlson go for it after the delay penalty. He has the leg.
Love was up-and-down, which should surprise nobody. He wasn't up to the comeback today, but that would have been an awfully big ask at this point.
Newman played a pretty decent game, considering he's still Royce Newman. The one should-have-been pick he did a very nice job of sliding protection and picking up the stunt. We've seen him blow that play numerous times in the past.
Joe Barry is Joe Barry, and with the game on the line and a lead, he went full Joe Barry.
Gary is not yet right. He looks okay in limited snaps, but he's not full bore yet.
AJ Dillon still looks like a beast, but he doesn't run like it. He's just so pedestrian.
Getting a healthy 3 down Jones back is imperative. He is the straw that stirs the drink. Other than Loves 24 yarder what was the longest run today?
Positives. Rasheed Walker looked like an all-pro.🤣
-Pepe LaFleur (they aren't winning sh*t with this dumb dumb)
-Dingle Barry (see above)
-AJ Dillon (look like Tarzan play like Jane)
-23 (WTF?)
+Looks like they have plenty of talent despite the lack of it on the sidelines.
We knew this could happen with all the young guys -- and Barry. Us fans knew it would be exciting and wins might not come, so now it's on us to enjoy the ride!
Reed was a positive. Quay except for the drop. The OL held up decently for being patchwork. Love half the time. MLF's calls until the end; I bet Love is not happy with him taking the ball out of his hands.
Negatives: Love half the time -- last drive the calls weren't good, but Love also showed his nerves and he had Doubs open more than once and didn't find him. The D; one effin' stop was all we needed -- ONE stop. Dropped INTs. Jaire today was toasted; just STFU and play. Barry and his zone calls can go zone in the Bermuda Triangle.
All in all, an entertaining game. Next time, hopefully, it goes in our favor.
One more negative: the Vikings still have hope.
Would love to know Packers success rate on and 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 under MLF. Bet it’s below the league average.
+ We didn’t lose any ground in the division.
@Brewcrew posted:+ We didn’t lose any ground in the division.
Keeping up with the losers
When you go into a 4th quarter with a 12 point lead and give up 446 yards of offense, that is squarely on Dingle Barry and the defense. Alexander had a shit game as well and this team has too much talent on defense to play that shitty.
Love did fine today considering what he had to work with. Future is very bright with him under Center
Negatives: AJ Dillon is absolutely no threat to a defense. LaFleur play calling in the 4th quarter.
Positive: This young team is fun to watch
Not sure how much is a limp, and how much is his inherent pimp-walk...

-'s: Still can't stop the run. Bijon is special, but we got run over. Love's passing downfield. Hopefully that is something that can improve, but it's not like he is a rookie. Have to think he's been working on that since he was drafted.
+'s: Karlson, Whelen. We'll see what happens when the weather turns, but so far so good. Jayden Reed looks like a nice pick.
This is the type of game I expect will happen more than we'd like this year. We beat a crappy shitcago team. We lose a close one on the road to an improved opponent. Played decent until the 4th quarter. Must not be overlooked that we did that without 4 of our best players on offense and an incredible amount of inexperience at the skill positions. However, missed interceptions, run defense, and Love's deep throws must get better. Also, our special teams hasn't lost us a game all year!

Nobody expects the Packers to win the SB this season so if Barry is going to continue to do Barry things, it’s better that he start early so there’s no question about firing him before next season when expectations will be higher.
Love - He couldn’t get it done today, but six TDs vs zero ints is a good start to the season. He’ll improve.

4th quarter was atrocious on both sides of the ball.
Watson needs to put his big boy pants on and figure out a way to get and stay on the field. His constant injuries are getting old. Same for Bak.
Dillon. Did he get his “L” and “R” mixed up when he put his cleats on? Did he forget his balance pills this morning? I’ve never seen anybody trip and fall as often as he does.
Trying to turn a negative into a positive here….Methinks 23 is going to have a huge game next week.

Great post. Many of these guys are playing their second game together. Encouraged by the rookies making some great plays. It will take a while but wait until this young group of players get on the same page.
There are so many things to get excited about with this team. The young receiving corp is fast and talented. And Watson wasn’t even out there today. Musgrave might end up being the tight end stud we all wanted Aaron Rodgers to have. The offensive line did very well in pass protection down both its All Pro tackles.
I think Jordan Love is going to more than justify the first round pick we spent on him. He will continue to mature the more he plays-let’s remember that this was only his third NFL start, and for the most part, he showed real poise. He gets the ball out fast, goes through his progressions quickly, and has no issue taking his check down. I think the 4th quarter offensive stall is more on MLF than the man under center. Poor play calling hampered the entire unit.
But I just can’t ignore the elephant in the room. Joe Barry is in his third year as DC, and he continues to get exposed in much the same way he did at the beginning of his tenure. Stupid zone defenses, and an utter inability to stop the run.
He is going to hold this team back from where we all want it to go. We all know it, and only MLF either doesn’t see it, or refuses to rectify it.
Time to realize that since Jaire got his payday he's been middling. And has hands of stone.
Overall, the offense was solid considering they were missing Watson and Jones. Love continuing to show he belongs and Doubs, Reed, and Musgrave showing some serious talent. May not all come together until next year, but future looks bright. I didn't like the offensive coaching much though. And Dillon was bad. Time to admit it was a bad pick. Same with Deguara. The 2020 draft is starting to look like Love, Runyan, and a whole lot of nothing.
Defense was bad. Tackling was bad. QB contain was bad. Dropped picks were bad. Just not good on defense. Everything. A good defense holds that lead. We're not a good defense. Guess they need another 8 first round pick before things click.
Positive
- Youngsters on offense making plays and getting experienced.
Negatives
- Twice on 3rd n 1 AJ Dillion tackled himself.
- Joe Berry is who we thought he is. Flush his ass. This team will not be a legit contender with him as coordinator.
A 4th quarter goose egg is inexcusable unless you're the Giants and have a 4 quarter goose egg.
Detoilet 1-1
GB 2 road games 1-1
Queens and Bares 0-2
Game there for the taking and we didn't capitalize. Think Aaron Jones, Buck Cherry and Watson may have helped JLove today?
All the dumdum NFLU posters here JF its multimillionaire's slamming each other for you're amusement. Take the dog for a walk instead of kicking it for a change.
Bench Dillon. Get Patrick Taylor ready.
Positives:
This team is young and you we are going to have to be patient (and yes that can be hard) and they are going to need time to grow.
Love looks like he gets it and is nice an calm and is playing within the system. It is also going to take some time with him as well.
Negatives:
Why is it that last week the defense pinned its ears back and got after the Bears and didn't seem to be as physical and aggressive this week? Why is it that one week they are on fire and the next week they are chasing the offensive players and not taking the game to them?
@Packmeister posted:Bench Dillon. Get Patrick Taylor ready.
Oh my word.... 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
You think Dillon is bad?!?? Patrick Taylor is a slower version of Barty Smith. Keep Taylor on Special Teams please.

OL coaching staff for handling the shuffle with no major drop off.
This is offset somewhat by pitiful run blocking, but for an on-the-fly, in-game adjustment, they deserve accolades.

Joe Barry.
Whether it is his scheme, game planning, or play calls (or any combination thereof), something ain't working.
I'm seeing the same shit that I've seen from the defense over the last 2 years.
Total breakdown in the 4th quarter of games. Getting pissed on by players with limited skills or experience. Losing games to less talented teams. Underachieving.
My first thought after the game was "at least we didn't get our asses kicked"
Then I looked at the game stats. Boy, was I rong!
446 yards total offense.
78 plays.
36+ minutes TOP.
27 1st downs.
6/15 3rd down conversions.
3/4 4th down conversions.
211 rushing yards allowed.
That is a thorough ass-kicking, no matter how it's sliced or diced.
It seems to me there's no room for any excuses at this point.
Watson, Jones and Bahk out with Jenkins getting hurt and we were up 12...not going to shit on this club. They have work to do, but with their best players out on offense they still were able to put up points.
ATL had great playcalling on offense, really creative stuff I hadn't seen before. Defense needs to catch those dropped picks. Delay on the field goal was the points that could have won it.
Not going to overreact to a one point loss. Lots of plays could have gone the other way and we easily win. That's just the NFL. Happy to see we stayed in it the entire game even if we didn't come out with a W.
and this isn’t good. Damn, the hits just keep coming eh? 🤬
During the first half of the Week 2 matchup, Packers running back AJ Dillon slipped and attempted to dive for a first down. In the process, Dillon rolled up on Jenkins while he was trying to block, forcing Jenkins out of the game. After the 24-25 loss, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport tweeted that Jenkins is believed to have suffered a sprained MCL, with an MRI coming shortly to determine how severely he sprained his knee.
