I sure hope Chryst has learned a thing or two at Pitt. His record in three years: 19-19. He's gone 6-7, 7-6, 6-6. In conference play he's gone 10-13; bowl play 1-1. The very definition of mediocre.
While he's a UW guy, and we all have high hopes for Bucky, I hope Chryst is far better than his record indicates.
Good point and thanks for digging up the stats. Bucky can probably draw better talent than Pitt, so maybe that's part of it.
I still would prefer if they look to find the best guy possible and not just take the 'closest to home' guy.

I wouldn't read too much into Chryst's record at Pitt. It's not exactly like that is a destination program. M
The thing about him is he got the most out of players while at UW. Not sure what he was like as a recruiter but if you are an offensive player I don't see why you wouldn't want to come to Wisconsin to play for the guy.

Very happy about this (if true and it appears to be). Will give the give that continuity in the program that maybe was going to be lost with Anderson.
Now, Barry's job for the next couple of weeks or to is kiss Aranda's be-hind up, down and sideways...
It's beginning to look a lot like Chryst-mas.

I agree completely. The current version of the Pitt football program is not what we knew when we were kids when they had Marino and Dorsett. They are much more of a basketball school now. I actually think the fact that Cryste broke even there is actually a good accomplishment.
Chryst seems like one of those guys that stays for the career. Unless he were to get fired, I can see him there for a long, long time.
