Bucky dropped one spot in the AP poll but are still two spots ahead of Penn State.

Contractually I think they have to take Wisconsin at the Rose Bowl if they end up ahead in the BCS poll. The AP poll figures into that calculation

Michigan vs. Alabama in the Citrus Bowl
Minnesota vs. Auburn in the Outback Bowl
Penn State vs. Memphis in the Cotton Bowl
Iowa vs. USC in the Holiday Bowl
Michigan and Goophers got tough draws.

Yep. Except that a lot of Alabama's team might be sitting out the bowl game to prepare for the draft. A lot of potential high picks on that team that didn't expect to be playing a meaningless game (to a team that's usually in the playoffs).
Penn State will win in a blowout and their fans will go crazy pointing out that they should have been chosen over Michigan and Wisconsin for the higher profile bowls.
I feel sooooo badly for both!

Just to follow up on this, Alabama has 7 guys projected to go in the first round (8 if you count Tua).

I like that pick at 27, and it fills a need.
I will definitely take the Rose Bowl this year because honestly I never thought they would win more than 8 games this year. In my humble opionion they deserve the berth in Pasadena.
As for the game on Saturday night all I will say is I have one observation. The refs kept they flags in their pocket when it came to OSU and the holding on every single play. At one point in the game I turned to my buddy and said "yep not one call on OSU for holding all night long and watch here comes one on UW" yep 20 seconds later holding on UW. Now the officiating is not the only reason Bucky lost but I will blame the refs some.

Can't do it now, but maybe I'll share personal context later - pretty intense.
I'll finish what I started.
Extremely physically unwell these days due to heart. Severe stenosis of aortic valve requiring replacement. Mitral valve has some portion detached and there is bleeding into my lungs (causes pulmonary hypertension). Was scheduled for surgery in Sioux Falls today, but last Thursday surgeon called and said the most recent echocardiogram showed a right ventricle issue. It is susceptible to not reviving and Sioux Falls lacks the equipment to revive it.
So surgery needs to be in Twin Cities or Mayo Clinic.
I would be going to my daughter's outside Chicago anyway and so I decided to make my way to her place. When I get the date for surgery, I will fly in and after return to my daughter's.
So I decided to get my butt over there.
Eau Claire was my first stop and to me represented the last time I would have to be somewhat active until the surgery what with the packing and the long drive. Yesterday I drove to Milwaukee to see family and that is just a stone's throw as will be today's drive to Erica's. Once I am there I am all set.
So, when all the work was done and I was laying in bed in the hotel watching the glorious first half with a couple cold ones - that was pure heaven. I couldn't believe my fortunes.
So that was my pretty intense personal context around the game as I watched it in a hotel in Eau Claire.
Finally, thank God the surgeon told me all my heart issues are correctible.
Good luck
Sorry to hear the tickerβs acting up. I think this yearβs Packers might be causing some excess wear and tear on many of us. As for the Badgers, I had a bad feeling when Orr went out. He''s the motor and had Fields of balance the whole first half. Best of luck and a speedy recovery!
Thanks guys.
I was always in excellent shape, but not presently. I am 61 and who knows what Father Time might bring!
I am hopeful I can again be in good shape in the future.
It's a hard knock life.....I just got back from a prostrate MRI and am not looking forward to the biopsy ahead. I'm 71 and have had a good healthy life and as has been mentioned who knows what's ahead. My first biopsy, about a year ago indicated low level cancer, tests since then have been from inconclusive to something may be going on in there. My doc says as of now there is no reason for me to lose sleep and I am confident he is correct.
Move on, enjoy the season. GO Bucky and Go Pack.
Phaedrus and Pike....best of luck to both of you health-wise! You both seem to have positive attitudes, which is awesome.
