If true not very surprising. Heavy ego guy. When he lived in GB his house was a shrine onto himself. Guys who feel entitled can never figure out why anyone would not like them.
On suspicion of not one, but TWO rapes. Horrible crime that destroys lives.
First the legal system has to presume Sharper is innocent. That being said, Darren maybe be in a heap of trouble.
A big reason law enforcement want to arrest a suspect is to get mug shots, finger printers, DNA samples etc. if they already do not have that stuff. So maybe that is what is going on here. But the interesting thing is Sharper is tied to 2 rapes, that suggest the police may have forensic evidence again Sharper. Were there are 2 rapes it is possible there are a whole series of additional rapes that might be tied back to Sharper. Give them a little time to run his DNA sample in the national data base maybe there is more stuff to come.
With just 1 possible rape it possible to argue it was consensual sex, when there are multiple charges that defense becomes ineffective.
I think he maybe in trouble.
Now we have a pattern, a Packers player that has a clean and generally good reputation leaves the team. That player then joins the Viking, soon that person is twitting pictures of his thing to women or is accused of multiple rapes. Packers players be warned do not play for the Vikings once you leave the Packers, the bad Karma from such a move will get ya.
PS can I call JJSD a name too? Other have done why can't I.
Think we'll see him on NFL Network this weekend?
I hope so!

Yes you can call him....ZOD
Darren Sharper won't be convicted of anything.
Think we'll see him on NFL Network this weekend?
I hope so!
He's been suspended from the NFL Network
How does he have time to rape anybody, isn't he still trying to tackle McCaffrey...???
no need to quote the video directly above
And people have the nerve to put him in the same elite status as Leroy Butler and Nick Collins, never believed he was elite then and I sure as hell don't believe it now, alls he was was a stat padding jackass and was glad when the Pack let him walk. I couldn't stand him back then and like him even less now and if he's found guilty of these charges I hope that Justice is served!
Classic Minnesota, "Former NFL star"...

Gotta love the lutefisk.
He is (a) Viking (material). And he is innocent - couldn't hit anyone.

He is also a suspect in a sexual assault in Louisiana. If Sharper did rape 2 different women he probably attack many different women. Recidivism is very common among sexual predators.
Again he is not convicted of anything, but this is getting to look very bad for him.
Can't believe the Star Trib didn't use a pic of him as a Packer just to rub it in a little.
(just an update)
A woman told a New Orleans Police detective she met former Saints star safety Darren Sharper at a bar in September then he took her back to his apartment in the Central Business District where he raped her, Naomi Martin of the New Orleans Times Picayune reports. This according to a police report released Friday. The report offers the first details about the accusations against Sharper since New Orleans police last week confirmed he was the subject of a sexual assault investigation.
Sharper was arrested a week ago in Los Angeles in an unrelated rape investigation there.
The woman told police she went to a "couple" of bars, where she consumed a "large amount of alcohol" on Sunday, Sept. 23. She said she met Sharper at one of the bars and he took her back to his apartment around 10 a.m., according to the report.
There, he had sex with her without her consent, she told police. "The victim stated she did not consent to any sexual encounter," the report says.
She called the police and gave her statement to Special Victims Unit Detective Derrick Williams on Sept. 24 at 6:30 a.m., the report says.
Sharper, an NFL Network commentator who played a significant role in the Saints' 2009 Super Bowl-winning season, has not been arrested or charged in New Orleans.
The report's release came a week after Sharper, 38, was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail in connection with two separate sexual assaults, one in October and another this month. He was freed on $200,000 bond later that day (Jan. 17) and is due back in court there on Feb. 14.
The thing that bothers me is she went back to his place on her own freewill. To do what? Make him some coffee? Watch TV? Clean his place?
I'm not siding with Sharper & I feel bad for any rape victim, but there's more to this story than we're reading.
Sharper needs to move back to sconnie.....sex offenders get a seat at the table with the Governor
Hateful.

That's complete bull****. Right up to the point laying the wood if the word "no" happens you are man enough to control yourself.
Rape is about violence and domination, not sex.
I'm going to recuse myself from this conversation because it stirs me to the point that I will beat a man to death if I know he's a predator, and that's a mother****ing fact.
This isn't directed at you Boris but I just don't buy the "boys will be boys" crap. I've had girls bouncing on my lap with the whole "no" act because that's what they are taught men like. I politely picked her up and told her to have a nice night. Now there was a face of amazement.
Being a man is being controlled, honorable, respectful (when it's deserved), thoughtful, strong and protective just to name a few. Any man that says he "can't control himself" is a lesser man.
I also don't have patience for women who can't act like a individual and play the "little girl" roll. Take that cupie doll bull**** somewhere else. Ask for what you really want, the sex will be better.

That's not what I'm saying at all. You're right, rape is about domination & power, not sex.
He was arrested for 2 rapes in L.A. They obviously have enough evidence it wasn't consensual. Now we read about this one that happened earlier. Read the story. She was hammered & agreed to go back to his place. It's easy to conclude she's trying to get her piece of the pie.
But that never happens, right? Every woman is always telling the truth about "rape" right? Again, I'm not saying Sharper is innocent & he very well may be guilty. I'm saying this possibility exists.
I'll recuse myself from this conversation now.

Florida is full of predators. What's stopping you?

Maybe, but she just as easily could have been wasted to the point of not knowing which way is up. It's not exactly uncommon for men to basically drag heavily intoxicated women out of bars. Darren just had to find one who either alone or there with friends who were too stupid and/or disinterested to care or notice what was going on.

No ****....quit acting like a tough guy blowhard.
I take care of my business and always have. Funny coming from the two guys that are paid to do it.
BTW Boris, I know there are other situations that are "grey". That's why men need to be in control. Just because a woman goes back to man's place or even heads somewhere with the inclination of sex it's not like this is some kind of "she deserved it" contract. That just plays into the whole "men have no control" line. We are individuals and have the right to change our minds at any point and that is critically important to remember.
Does that mean women need to be aware as well? Damn straight.
The layers of heaped on cultural bull**** clouds the issue and how women believe they should react in these situations, often with the **** religious indoctrination that they shouldn't offend/question a man. I haven't met one victim of assault that didn't have intense anger at those handful of women who falsely accuse others of rape.
It's hard enough for these women to go to the police, who are a big part of the problem along with treating doctors, etc, because they are immediately judged and then dragged through the mud. Happens all the time. Women need to change their thinking and attitudes as well including this "I can't tell you what I want because you'll think I'm a slut" but where it starts is with teaching young men very simple lessons of respect and accountability.
Do certain women target rich athletes? Yes, but then Sharper has multiple charges against him and these athletes make it so simple with their general behavior and attitude. Is that blaming the "victim"?
Maybe, but she just as easily could have been wasted to the point of not knowing which way is up. It's not exactly uncommon for men to basically drag heavily intoxicated women out of bars. Darren just had to find one who either alone or there with friends who were too stupid and/or disinterested to care or notice what was going on.
And this is what predators do. It's setting the trap. Having worked in the bar business for a long time I've seen this **** endlessly. And I've been stepping in and "teaching lessons" for years. This includes actually teaching young men what it means to be a man, a area where other institutions and cultures fail.
Time to grow the **** up boys.
And I'll add my two cents from the female side: I get royally po'd at women who falsely accuse men of rape or assault. It makes everyone doubt those who are brave enough to come forward when they are raped. There's nothing sadder than when a guy gets his reputation dragged through the mud over something that didn't happen -- or when a woman gets hers dragged through the mud in court over something that did happen.
As for the men, yup, they need to grow up and quit playing the "I can't help myself" or the "what else was I supposed to do?" card. Self-control is what separates us from animals.
That being said, women need to take responsibility and stop drinking in public well before hitting the drunken stage. Self-control works both ways, and way too many bad things happen when people get drunk. Sad to say, it's usually women who get taken advantage of. No one should have the right to take advantage of someone in an enibriated state, but no one should be drunk in public bars either.
Yes, some women do prey on rich and wealthy men in the hopes of hitting Easy Street. It makes me sick, as it does every honest woman I know. The groupies that hang around team hotels/bars in hopes of snaring a pro athlete? Garbage. This is especially when a man in that situation must recognize what's happening and be man enough to simply say, "No."
All in all, if all people would just exercise some self-control there's a lot of problems that could be prevented.
Curious how many of these predators you have beaten to death now HenDextery?
Nice wide brush you want to paint the Police with. A DVA/SAC advocate is immediately called for all alleged victims before any interviews occur.
Everything I have ever seen done with alleged victims is compassion, empathy and anonymity.
Not always quite the same for the accused.
A rape kit at the hospital is done by nurses who are specially trained in dealing with sexual assault victims.
Many times a female doctor and female police detectives handle the interview. Cuz you know how us bully bad boy po po are.
You act as though you operate on some type of chivalric moral high ground none of us commoners could understand.
I take care of my business and always have. Funny coming from the two guys that are paid to do it.
I don't recall getting paid to beat a sexual predator to death. To be fair, I will check my job description again when I get back to work.
The question remains Henya... How many predators have you beaten to death? Certainly you have run across a few of them from time to time.
You act as though you operate on some type of chivalric moral high ground none of us commoners could understand.
Okay, no way it took a mere 13 seconds to dig up that word. In the time it took you to look up that word Henry bludgeoned 3 rapists to death.
I was thinking the same thing... that, or somebody else wrote it for him.
Probably the missus. Sounds like he married way above his grade. Out-kicked his coverage in a way that would make Jon Ryan blush.

Did you just really go there?

You are one bitter little man, Fedya. Really?
I for one am glad that someone is courageous enough to stand up against the resident pigs.
Don't you ever change, Fedya.
Fond of Dudes and Fudgeya cuddling up together....shocking.
Fedumdum to the rescue. What would the world do without dip****s?
Bludgeon more predators?

Easy on him guys, he's under alot of pressure, he might be the daddy to a pair of tube socks and as we all can imagine, twins can be tough on a new parent. Hang in there Octofudgya.
