Nice wide brush you want to paint the Police with.  A DVA/SAC advocate is immediately called for all alleged victims before any interviews occur.

Everything I have ever seen done with alleged victims is compassion, empathy and anonymity.

Not always quite the same for the accused.

A rape kit at the hospital is done by nurses who are specially trained in dealing with sexual assault victims.

Many times a female doctor and female police detectives handle the interview.  Cuz you know how us bully bad boy po po are.

You act as though you operate on some type of chivalric moral high ground none of us commoners could understand.

"Chivalric"?  Try basic humanity.  My experiences are first hand and of those who have been through it and the picture I have is not pretty.  So my first hand experience coupled with overall data of 80% of women not reporting rape for a variety of reasons, just one being issues with cops and treating doctors and it has nothing to do with gender, tells me there is a major problem.  So if you take offense to it, I get it but it doesn't change the fact there is a problem that I'm going to address it in my personal and public life at every opportunity.

Have I actually killed anyone?  No.  If that was a option would I be first in line?  Yes.  That is a highly charged, emotional statement made by myself and I own it and that won't change.  I make my presence known when I see scumbag predator be it at the god damn grocery store or if I'm out in any situation.  I'll stick my nose into without a second thought.  After seeing the fear close friends live with every day you are god damn right I will bear my teeth at any time, verbally and physically slapping the **** out ****ers.  If we are going to live by this "boys will boys" mentality then I want those ****ers to know that some crazy ****er like myself is out there and they better ****ing think twice.

I will always go to teaching and raising awareness to teach young men but I will use whatever tools are available to me when it comes to this.  Quit bastardizing my gender and being weak using the idiot "I can't control myself" ****.

And I do agree with Fandame as well and women need to be smart as well.  Overall, it's a inbuilt, horse**** mentality of submissive women, which is more prevalent in backasswards religious areas.  Be a human, know you have value, expect respect.  It doesn't make you any less feminine just like being respectful doesn't make you any less masculine.

So if my whole statement bothers people, tough ****.  It's a issue that needs to be addressed.

Why so emotional?

I couldn't stand him back then and like him even less now and if he's found guilty of these charges I hope that Justice is served!

Sharper had great ball skills, but unfortunately, there were just too many times when he tried for the pick when he clearly wasn't in position to get it. Sometimes, knocking the ball down is the right thing to do. It's not sexy, but those knock downs force punts. Sharper never learned that, and the Packers paid dearly for his mistakes. The Terrell Owens TD catch in the '98 playoffs was the first in a series of killer mental gaffes by the Matador.

If you were to look purely at the numbers, he'd have gotten serious Hall of Fame consideration: 7th all-time with 63 interceptions, second all-time with 11 interception return touchdowns (oddly enough, tied with another former Packers, Charles Woodson), 3rd all-time in interception return yards (1,412). Sharper was a 5-time Pro Bowler, and 2-time first team All Pro. But if these allegations are true, you can forget that from happening.

This is just terrible, no matter how you cut it.

As for the bigger picture here, I have to agree with Henry's thinking. I don't want to assume what really happened with Sharper one way or another because I wasn't there, and until the criminal justice system has vetted this (if it goes to trial), we can't be sure what did or did not happen, because I don't find the majority of electronic media reliable. But when there's smoke, there's fire. If it's not just one woman, but three accusing Sharper, then the likelihood that Sharper is a dirtbag goes up exponentially.

It doesn't matter what this last woman's intentions were. Maybe she fully intended on sleeping with Sharper when she went back to his place. Maybe he talked her into going back with him. No matter what her mindset might have been, or how much she'd had to drink, when she says no, that's it. It doesn't matter if she's naked as the day she was born. If she says stop, a real man honors her wishes. If he didn't stop, he's a rapist, and should be thrown into prison with the lowest of scumbags.

If I stumbled upon a guy obviously raping a gal, I'd beat on him until he no longer moved.  If he died would be up to him.  That's just me.  Not recommending it for the general population.  Do as you see fit.

Really?  I wasn't at all... The salary cap era NFL needs average to above average players that can get the job done.  "Good enough" if you will.  You just can't pay everybody top dollar to play a position, but you know that.  I'm perfectly fine with an average C if it means GB can hang onto the likes of Shields, Raji and Neal now.... and Cobb and Jordy in the future.

But that's another thread, right big guy?

But the problem is Raji hasn't been good enough the last 2 years. He isn't even average.  I do agree on Cobb and Jordy.

Know thyself.  That's just my perspective and experience.

I think you're a little bit sad.

Awww.  **poke poke**

Campen is a horrible coach.  Time for a sandwich.

I'm actually good company.  Just don't rape anybody in front of me and everything will be just fine.

No telling what I might do if put in a situation like is being discussed here. I like to think I would do all I could to help someone in need, but I honestly can't say.

As for these reports / accusation on Sharper. I would not be surprised if there is a play for cash from one of the girls, and I will not be surprised if he forced himself on any or all of them. There is more to this than we know, and he is at least guilty of stupidity.

At girlfriends house. Hear a scream outside. Go outside. Guy on top of girl. I yell, he takes off. Go down to girl...all beat up. Take after guy alongside my girlfriend's sister's boyfriend who weighs about 110 lbs. Catch up to him---drunk. Burly as all get out. Told him to sit tight. All stood there. Other kid goes onto a porch to ring doorbell to ask resident's to call cops---they turn off porch light. Two minutes later a couple of bible-carrying Mormons on bikes come by, I ask for help, they offer prayer. Rapist now getting agitated. We pull fire alarm (they had boxes on every corner back in the day) Firemen come and help subdue bad guy.  I got an award from Harold Brier.

To answer your question, no, I'd let the justice system deal with the scumbag. Let the courts try and convict them, label them as a rapist, and let the general population take care of him.

***NEWS ALERT***

All women in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas are instructed to wear a #87 Denver Broncos jersey immediately. Women in Arizona, Nevada, Louisiana, Wisconsin & Minnesota may want to don the jersey as well as a precaution until this sexual predator is neutered.

Details to follow...

Jerry Rice fumbled.

And it was a Wild Card Game.  Minnesohhhhhhhta lost the NFC-CG that year when Gary Andersen missed a FG late in the fourth that would have put them up 10.  Atlanta marched down the field, scored the tying TD, and won in OT.

So at least the season still had a high note in it.
