Last time I recall this much local anticipation for a Lions game Wayne Fontes was roaming the sideline. Offense needs to be consistent and play the full sixty because as the Bear game showed no lead is really safe with the Packer defense. Still think if they can get to Stafford and make him uncomfortable they can force him into (several) mistakes.

I was checking out some messages boards for Lions fans.  Holy sh*t, they've got a lot of paranoid, whiny bastards in that base.  They seriously think that the NFL conspires to screw them and help the Packers via poor officiating (that favors the opposition).  And they are completely unapologetic about their b*tching and conspiracy theories.

I hope we kick the sh*t out of them and give them something else to cry about.

You're not kidding.  They know who the refs are before the game (evidently it's Jerome Boger this week...pretty much every NFL fan thinks he blows), they found out Boger's son was an offseason signing by the Packers in 2006, posted Boger's won/loss record in Lions games and have said the schedules have been rigged against the Lions late in the season for years.

I never really had much disdain for the Lions (outside of Suh) but man I really hope the Packers kick their asses Sunday.

I have come to the conclusion that this team plays poorly if they are expected to win. They are at their best as an underdog with their backs against the wall.

Perhaps that is a reflection of Rodgers- he's seemingly always at his best when he feels disrespected or doubted. When he's comfortable or when the expectations are high, he seems like he's more risk averse to a fault. Now it's do or die- gotta go for it now.

I think they pound the Loins and leave no doubt.

I've never been able to hold onto any real dislike for the Lions. Other than they're in the division and they need to be beaten down each year. Nothing like the Bears or Vikings though.

I couldn't stand them with Suh and Raiola. Suh was dirty AF. But Raiola was a pure world class POS. Those Lion teams were easy to hate.

Even the Silver Rush years in the late 70s were more of a fun novelty than a real threat to win much of anything.

From the file of "I have no idea what to make of this" or where to put it.

We had a car that finally went dead. Full engine siezed dead. So we donated it to a Vetrans Group. Guy came and picked it up this morning.

So the car is all loaded up on his flatbed and he says "I see you're a Packers fan" (hoodie). Yep. Full Packer fan.

So he says, "I've known Davante Adams since he was three. Grew up by his family in Palo Alto. Kid was an athlete from kindergarten. But the damndest thing was his dad Doug. Guy refused to move out of his moms house. Still there. 53 years old and he converted his moms garage to a big ass man cave with cable, TVs, everything"

I can't find anything about this anywhere. Only that his dads name is Doug.

Crazy the things you come across out the clear damn blue.

Oh, can I play...I pick since the 1996 season.....what's the count now?

Before 1960 The Cowboys were not

Then let's start at 1960 shall we?   Not 1966.  From 1960-1965 both teams could have won the league championship, right?  Since 1960 the packers have appeared in eight championship games (1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 1997 and 2010) winning seven (1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996 and 2010).  We're done here.

maybe the strongest walk off of 2016.

Unless your local affiliate is not owned by NBC.  Local here in Eau Claire is not, so best I can figure, I'll be ok.

To Hell with the rest of you....

As I understand it: If you have no antenna to pick up over-the-air channels,

AND you have Charter,

AND you're in an area where NBC owns the local NBC affiliate,

THEN you're SOL.

I can get the over-the-air channels out of Albany, while I get the NYC channels courtesy of DirecTV.  But I'm just as likely to listen to Wayne and Larry.
