More yoga and less "the sky is falling" banter and you'll feel a lot better

While Bulaga is probably behind Sitton in quality, LT is also probably the second-most important position on the team (depending on where you rank primary pass rusher, which I put just behind).

I just don't trust Newhouse as anything other than a backup

I'm with you on this one, option 3. Newhouse isn't good enough to keep Rodgers safe.

I'm surprised TT couldn't find someone better in the off season.

While Bulaga is clearly a very important player, especially for the Packers, I don't know if I would say no better player has been lost this year. Percy Harvin strikes me as a bigger loss for Seattle -- he was exactly what that offense needed. Crabtree is a huge loss for the 49ers. Or what about RG III for the Redskins? I'm sure there will be more before the season starts.

I think it's easy to take a snakebit mindset with these injuries, but the reality is all teams deal with this kind of adversity. Even that '96 juggernaut had some anxious moments with injuries, losing Brooks and then Freeman for extended times (plus Chmura) and then having a huge hole at LT for much of the season. To keep things in perspective, for all of its seemingly bad luck, Green Bay has basically gone over 20 years with its starting franchise QBs missing a combined one game.

I believe the reports were Bulaga wanted to play last year after he was injured but the team shut him down.  I'm assuming the team wants him to get the surgery and he's looking for an excuse to play.  It's such a risk and  it would be an awful sight if his knee gives way.

That said, whether he's tough, dumb, or crazy I respect the hell out of Bulaga for still wanting to try.
