Good luck to Jones, he's going to need it.
I got the feeling they were moving on from Ryan Pickett when they re-signed Raji and told him they were planning on playing him at NT.
Or when they didn't re-sign him.
Tightwad Ted strikes again! Solid move. I was hoping they'd bring in another big boy.
That's a nice group of D-Linemen:
"Though position assignment with some players is a little ambiguous, the signing gives the Packers seven defensive linemen, which usually is the most they carry on their 53-man roster: Peppers, B.J. Raji, Datone Jones, Josh Boyd, Mike Daniels, Jerel Worthy and Guion."
'The best book I ever read probably was "Behold A Pale Horse."'
Amazon.com: "Bill Cooper, former United States Naval Intelligence Briefing Team member, reveals information that remains hidden from the public eye. This information has been kept in topsecret government files since the 1940s. His audiences hear the truth unfold as he writes about the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the war on drugs, the secret government, and UFOs."
If he read Behold A Pale Horse, he is definitely into some serious revisionist history.
Yeah, I feel like the topic of his interest in that book is a 45 minute interview on its own.
Packers could get involved with Hester
March, 18, 2014GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers signed one former Chicago Bears' Pro Bowl player in defensive end Julius Peppers, so why not another in return specialist Devin Hester?
HesterThe Packers have not gotten involved yet with Hester, who visited the Falcons on Tuesday, but they could if the price is right.
According to an NFL personnel evaluator whose team has discussed the possibility of going after Hester, the former Pro Bowl return specialist is currently seeking a deal in the $4-million-per-year range.
However, that may be too high for teams interested in the 31-year-old return man.
If Hester discovers the market for his services is lower, it could bring in more teams, the Packers among them, when the price drops.
Please do. I cannot wait to watch BIBS explode in rage when Peppers and Hester finally get a ring.
Hester has not been the same returner the last year or two. He seems to do more dancing and running sideways than he did when he was prolific. He also has started to make some questionable decisions on punts. He might just need a change of scenery but based on the last couple seasons I think he is over reaching to make plays (again) and am not sure how much is left.
Bears just released Earl Bennett
Someone gonna steal VaJay-Jay's security blanket.

Pboi, where is that link from? It stinks of Arrigo-ness.
ESPN Hank. It's from Rob Demovsky who writes for the Press Gazette but then moonlights for the NFC North Blog on ESPN.
Highly doubt he's going to get anywhere near 4 mil. from anyone.
Demovsky no longer working for the Press Gazzete.
Really Goalline? Hmm wonder why. They lost Tom Pessirillo (sp?) and another reporter like a year ago. Maybe they don't pay well? I would think it a dream job to cover the Packers. Guess he's just on ESPN now..
Yup, mo money bigger audience. Personally, I don't really visit the PGsite anymore. The site is a mess.
$65K?
$65K?
Hahahahahahaha
Whoever wrote that article is a dumbass. There's no connection of Hester to GB... just a statement that if his price gets low enough GB might be in the mix. That's some sweet ass journalism right there.
I hear ya, Sep. I was a reporter/editor for eight years and the pay sucked. Perks? I did know where all the "local bodies" were buried and I got to pretty much set my own hours, which was awesome. Beyond that, it's either a second, much lower income or a just-out-of-college starter gig. I have to say though, I did enjoy the job but not the pay.
As a Mass Com major fresh out of kollege in 1983 I went immediately into......sales.
No regrets.
Does that require having a lot of BS skills? I know I have to sell a lot of my jobs
The women in the Mass Com were hot as I recall. All wannabe local news hosts.
Talking head?

Yeah, just a guy looking for a story
Pack won't pay for a guy who is strictly a returner(he's shown to be a bad WR). They'll just draft a WR in this deep class who actually has upside as a WR who has returning ability/experience in college
That is the reason Seattle are champs. They don't pay big money to average players like Golden Tate.

They're the bubble-headed bleach blondes who come on at 5. They could tell you about a plane crash with a gleam in their eye.
"said the offer from Seattle was "laughable""
"I'm just appalled at the attitude I've received on Twitter from people I thought were Golden Tate fans,"
Did he point out that MD Jennings intercepted the pass? Only then will I believe he truly ripped the Seahawks.
"Pete called me that night [when he signed with Detroit] and wished me good luck," Tate said. "He said, 'If you need anything ever, call me.
Does that mean he will trade Wilson for Stafford when Tate finds out he has a noodle arm QB?
I love it when these over hyped, entitled, & coddled Notre Lame douchebags make it to the NFL. They are still reading & believing all the BS their school made up about their abilities.
Rick Mirer, Brady Quinn, Golden Taint - table for 3.

Yep, I did radio for around 6 years. The job was great, the pay sucked. People thought it was cool I made appearances DJing clubs and playing in bands, not realizing it was how I made rent.
Then I went in to finance.

I
Stafford with a noodle arm? Not even close. Much stronger arm than Wilson does.
Well at least you went into finance, Herschel. I chose teaching. Same long hours ("all summer off" is a myth as you develop new curriculum, take classes to keep your license, etc.), love the job, and compensation is better than that in journalism but not by a whole lot. Oh, and I was print journalism so I'm a hot babe in brain only!
On topic, Golden Tate is golden in name only; in performance, he's barely bronze.

Radio always sounded fun, but the rent is too damn high for a local media job. Finance is probably longer hours but exponentially more money. Good move.

Stafford has a very strong arm. What he needs is a QB coach. If MM got ahold of him, he could be a VERY good QB. Who told you Stafford has a noodle arm? That's a line of horse****
Noodle arm may not have been the best term, but it was all I could think of at the time. Besides you know what I meant. I could have said "side arm throw that is 5 yards short" just didn't sound as good as noodle arm.
Noodle brain is probably more applicable. He can heave it 80 yards, but most of the time he can't throw it accurately 15 yards. I think he's beyond reclamation at this point in his career, his bad tendencies aren't going to change.
