I wish I could feel bad about having been paid $15 million for the last 2 years.
Finley's agent said the neurosurgeon said Finley has a 99.9% chance of full recovery.
I know these guys want to get paid but....
S-T-F-U!!
It is that 0.1% that every GM will fret over, and the media will make a big deal about.
Intriguing name on the FA list. Darren McFadden. Checkered injury past. But he's going to be cheap. Behind Lacy he's a potential lethal option. Really good catching the ball. 1 year deal and see what happens.
Not trying to be a jerk, but why would you want to bring in a guy that is NEVER healthy? The Packers already have a serious injury problem and this guy is as brittle as they come. Also, offense is not where The Packers need to sign free agents. I've said this before, fix the defense and everything else will be gravy.
[Sarcasm alert on] Sounds like Darren would fit right in. Every player should be able to take their turn on the DL. [Sarcasm alert off]
Good post Turnip Blood, but just to clarify, it was Stephen Jackson and his agent floating reports about possibly going to the Packers.
Best stat that sums up how truly bad the Raider teams were that McFadden played for. In his 7 years in Oakland he racked up 13 tackles.
I wouldn't spend a lot. I wouldn't offer him anything more than 1 year. Someone is going to give him a 1 year audition to prove he deserves a longer contract. As long as he's not the featured back he's worth a look. Price has to be right though.

Oh yea I got that wrong, thanks.
Champ Bailey willing to switch to safety. Should the Packers talk to him? I bet he wants a ring, Packers are as close as anybody. Would he sign a one year incentive laden deal?
Yes, I'm certain that Ted covets a 35 year old DB with foot problems
In other news the Vikings heard from Adrian Peterson: Adrian Peterson â @AdrianPeterson Follow @MikeVick would intently make the vikings a playoff team! I hope he meant instantly but with that excellent Oklahoma edumacation couldn't spell it. At any rate go ahead Vikes, pay Vick millions to play in Minnesoda. He'll look real good in the snow and purple.
Not wishing harm on someone, but on the off chance Michael Vick is ever hit by a vehicle, I hope it's this one.
Mike Vick playing outdoor games in MN in winter. What could possibly go wrong?
Minnesota should throw tons of money at Vick. I bet Jennings would like to continue to see passes hit the turf five yards short as if Ponder was throwing.
The #Broncos officially release Champ Bailey. @johnelway: âWe look forward to his Ring of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame electionâĶâ
waaa if they (Minn) do sign Vick, they better have a healthy backup
Ponder is healthy.
I almost think I'd rather go with Ponder than Vick. Ponder's still on his rookie contract and not a felon.

It's only one a season; maybe a second in early December at most. It's not as if the Vikings are ever going to be good enough to have home games in the playoffs.
Maybe Ponder should do some jail time to get Peterson on his side.
Colts signed ILB D'Qwell Jackson to a four-year, $22 million contract.
Jets, Packers among the teams interested in former Vikings TE John Carlson, who is visiting the Cardinals today.
Carlson was released last week by the Vikings. He is currently a street free agent and is not bound by the same rules as the upcoming class of unrestricted free agents that hit the open market next week, meaning he can sign with a team at any time.
Champ Bailey is done. He made his bones as a cover corner, not a safety who can hit people.
He can't run anymore.

Can someone explain how the Colts were able to sign D'Qwell Jackson. I thought teams could only sign players not on other teams rosters at the end of this past season. He's a free agent, right? And FA starts next week. Is it because he was released and not a player who's contract just ran out?

So is it because UFAs played out their contracts and can't sign with other teams until next week?
Yes, players with contracts ending this year have to wait for the league year to end, which is next week. Players, like Jackson and today Champ Bailey, had their contracts terminated (they were cut) and where then free to sign with anyone.
Yes player with contract expiring have to wait until the new NFL year. Players who were cut and do not have to pass through the waiver process can sign immediately with anyone. The other thing is players who are cut are not figured in the comp equation.
Thanks guys. Makes sense now.

That is such an amazing coincidence !
The Packers are currently talking to both Finley and Quarless' agents...and then stories leak of their interest in TE John Carlson. And TE Garret Graham. And TE Eric Ebron. And Finley's camp leaks stories that he's almost ready. And Quarless' camp leaks stories that Ben McAdoo and the NYGs are all over him.
Good thing we have so many reporters willing to help out
On Devon Hester's pending release from the Bears, Urlacher wants to know where the loyalty is.
Loyalty left when free agency started.
Loyalty? That's just silly. There is none on either side. Also, this is not cruel season like some say because guys get released. It's reality season. Everyone knows it.
Hester already bilked them out of a 40 million dollar extension. How much loyalty does he need?
Not wishing harm on someone, but on the off chance Michael Vick is ever hit by a vehicle, I hope it's this one.
Potential free agent busts... http://nfl.si.com/2014/03/07/2...fl-free-agent-busts/
Doubt TT has any interest in any of these for the price it might cost.
Minnesota Vikings â@Vikings
@NFL's TOP 10 free agent QBs: http://bit.ly/1fdUgqy
Which one would you like to see in purple???
This is what makes the Vikings the Vikings... two of the top 10 FA QB's are on their roster today. Greg Jennings re-tweeting the whole thing was just icing on the cookie.
Raji would make that list if it was a little longer. For Ted it may come down to the devil you know. One last shot for Raji. Heck if there is not garrateed money little risk for the Packers.
Speaking of Greg...
