Amanda Tynes didn't appear too thrilled about the message being put out by the team.

Amanda Tynes, Lawrence's wife, tweeted a picture of her obviously unhappy husband hooked up to what appears to be his PICC line as he continues to be treated as the NFL season is almost ready to start without him.

I hear my husband is responding "well" to treatment. LOL! He's NOT responding at all yet. This is our pic.twitter.com/Gy4z4OcAXA

If it wasn't obvious, the "This is our #buclife" line certainly drips with sarcasm and dissatisfaction. It's not surprising the Tynes family isn't very happy over the situation, especially when the Buccaneers made the cold but understandable move of signing kicker Rian Lindell the same day Tynes was having surgery

Tynes balks at non-football injury designation

Kicker Lawrence Tynes, who has been battling a MRSA infection, was placed on the non-football injury list by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Though he will still receive his salary, he instead said he should be placed on injured reserve because the Buccaneeers are responsible for the injury since he came into contact with the infection at the team's facility. By being on NFI, he does not receive an accrued season toward his pension. Being on injured reserve would count as an accrued season.

"This whole thing is wrong," Tynes told FoxSports.com, per ESPN. "My biggest emphasis is I don't want this to happen to any current or future player. I'm going to fight this thing as long as I have to, because this team should not be allowed to do this to players.''

That's pretty sleazy by the Bucs.  Not sure what they gain by doing this to the guy if they still have to pay the salary.

That's a bad matchup for the Packers in general- defending Vernon Davis.   It's interesting though - since Kaepernick arrived at QB they haven't been using him that way (as a primary weapon in the passing game).   He's been more of a decoy than anything else but he's capable of having a huge game because he's a big target and can run like a gazelle.

Hyde's an exceptional tackler and against a team like SF that's a big deal.  I'm actually more concerned about our ability to stop the run plays than the pass plays especially with Crabtree and Manningham out.

And not just next week either. He may already be out for next week because of his concussion. So make it the week of the 28th just to be sure he actually has to sit a game he could play in.

Apparently he won't be facing a suspension. Link to NFL.com

"Washington Redskins safety Brandon Merriweather, however, is not expected to be suspwnded for his hit on Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy on Sunday, Rapoport said Monday on NFL Network's "Around the League Live." A fine should be coming. Meriweather hasn't had a similar hit since 2010."
