Wasn't sure where else to put this so lets start the speculation:
Z Smith tweeted that he's back in GB and can't wait to get back on the field.

Thank you. Was just going to add that. The replies are interesting too. Feels like a new man after surgery.
Wow, that's a blast of optimism. Wasn't expecting to see him this year. Wonder if he's just being pollyanna or if it means he's working toward getting back in the game in a few weeks.
KC has been faltering lately. Defenses have kind of figured out how to "limit" Mahomes and that offense. Reid is good though, he'll have them ready for a bounce back game on national TV.
This is hilarious. That's exactly what Gary looks like rushing the passer.

The timing of his "Just landed back in GreenBay" is odd to me. Most of the team will be out of town until next Tuesday - I believe.

I think Reid is one of the best offensive minds in football perhaps the best. But his defense has been an issue lately and I think MLF is a pretty darn good coach in his own right.
Is it just me or does it feel like the Packers are on the road every week? I know they haven't been it just feels like it.
Well, they were at home 5 days ago.

Does Z follow the rest of the team's schedule/DOs or is the fact that he's on IR, he needs to follow a separate schedule, report to Packer facilities for treatment/exams/etc?

And on the road the 2 weeks before that.
We should get ours offensively against that defense. Hopefully 69 will be back.

So that wouldn't be on the road all the time.
Great googly moogly, I sure hope 69 is back!

8 road games, 8 home games 1 neutral site. Perfectly balanced, Thanos would be happy.
We are in trouble now 😉 https://packerswire.usatoday.c...n-to-practice-squad/
Subtraction by addition?
Jackson went to Iowa right?? After watching today is he smart enough to remember anything the Packers did on D?
Hell of a pick up until #23 returns...

Gray called the game. It's not like he sat there and went down a list of what Matt Foley planned all by himself, which he didn't.
Packers are currently 3 point dogs and +125. I don’t bet on the Packers very often, only against or on the total. If I did, I would like that plus money a lot.
Packers are hot, Chiefs are not.
Packers coming off mini bye, Chiefs play Monday.
Im guessing Packers will get back Bahk, MVS, Adams and Lazard.

I get the 3 points underdog thing but what is that +125 thing? I keep seeing numbers like that for betting but what does that mean? asking for a friend because sports gambling is coming to the state I live in at the first of the year.
I hope the Giants play the Chiefs really hard and make it hard for them to bounce back for next week.
I know nothing about gambling but doesn't the 125 mean if you bet $100 you win $125?
It’s the money line odds. The odds on winning or losing regardless of point spread. If it is plus, you get more money than you wager. If it is minus, you get less money than you wager.
Example. Packers are +125 so if you bet 100, you get paid 125 if they win. If the Pack was playing the lions, they would be -800. You would have to bet $800 to get paid $100.
When it comes to the point spread, they always have what is referenced to as the juice. So if you took the Pack at +3 points on the spread, the juice would probably by -110. So you would have to bet $110 to win$100.
And that's why I don't gamble.
Today & tomorrow should be busy days for the Packers:

🔹Tonyan & Hill should go to IR
🔹Adams & Lazard could return from COVID
🔹MVS could return from IR
🔹Bakhtiari could return from PUP
🔹Jaire & Z Smith longshots to return from IR
🔹Maybe a trade?
🔹Plus, cuts for roster space
Davante Adams did not practice today (COVID-19) but…
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) November 1, 2021
Marquez Valdez-Scantling (hamstring) practiced for first time since going on IR after injuring his hamstring Week 3 at SF. A sign he could return this week vs. KC.
Allen Lazard practiced. His close contact phase is over.
Matt LaFleur says Za'Darius Smith hasn't done much rehab with team yet, very early in any kind of return, but he's in Green Bay: "It was great to see him back in the building. He had a big smile on his face, and it seemed like he's in a good frame of mind."

Would be nice to hear something about Jaire. It's been VERY quiet.

It’s just curious to me that Z wasn’t doing his recovery and rehab in Green Bay. After all, he’s a leader of the defense, isn’t he? Shouldn’t a leader be there in the locker room (at least) to support his guys? Or is this justifiable because there were doctors or facilities elsewhere that were superior to what’s available locally?
Inquiring minds what to know!
He's a family guy. Would make sense he would want to be home doing his rehab after surgery until he's at the point he can start doing things with the team. I know I would.
Sounds like he's back, but not back to play yet. He can wear a jersey all he wants but until he hits someone wearing a different color jersey, he's just a cheerleader.
Great to hear "Z" is back
I'm betting the Chefs - This is in the bag AGAIN
Methinks Z has caught the defensive fever, and wants to claim a share of what they are accomplishing.
I was thinking the same thing!
@Timmy! posted:Methinks Z has caught the defensive fever, and wants to claim a share of what they are accomplishing.
This is total speculation, but here's a possibility for what has happened with Z. Smith.
He had a nagging back injury that will eventually need some surgery that takes a few months to recuperate from. It's not career-ending and he could play through it, but it's enough that it needs to be taken care of so he can be fully healthy. He wants a contract extension this summer and doesn't get it, so he decides to have the surgery then so he's rehabbing on the Packers dime and not as a free agent next winter. His plan was always to come back later in the year to show that he's healthy enough to get some interest next year as a free agent. If the Packers had tanked, he was probably thinking he could get dealt for a late-round pick or just released on an injury buyout and go somewhere else. The Packers are good, so now it's "go, team, win."
