Unless there's some sort of brace that literally holds the knee cap in place, the Chiefs would be insane to even consider letting PM play.

I would hope the Chiefs don’t start Mahomes. It’s not worth risking the franchise for one non-division/non-conference game. 

Selfishly, I'd love to see Rodgers vs. Mahomes but I know the right thing to do is sit him down to avoid long-term injury. Sucks but I'm 90% sure we won't see Mahomes

I like this line of thinking.  One week at a time. 

So far, the Packers are 6-1 in going 1-0 for the week. 

As we've reached Friday, the injuries to our key players are rounding out much as expected. MVS, Tramon, Graham, and Redmond are all listed as LP/Questionable, but I'd expect all of them to play.
Savage, Tonyan, and Adams are all listed the same, but are be less likely to play, IMO. 
I was surprised to see LInsley listed as DNP, and he wasn't listed on the injury report Wednesday. If he can't go, I guess Patrick will be at C again. I think he held his own last week, so I hope that continues into this week.

FWIW, Sterberger reaches 8 weeks on the IR (by my count) on the 29th. No idea if he has been practicing (should I assume he hasn't since he's not listed on the injury report?), or if they have a 'window' after he begins before they have to activate him, but he's eligible in any case as of the 29th.

I think players put on IR designated to return can begin practicing after 6 weeks?

They are in good shape in their division and probably not going to wrestle HFA from the Pats. It's pretty much #2 or #3 seed for them. No need to risk the season on one game. 

I have my fingers crossed for Savage to play.  I don't think Adams will be back for a few weeks.

All indications are both Savage and Big Bob Tonyan will be available. No real reason for the team to press its luck with Adams as well as the offense has been functioning in his absence.

Everyday Davante Adams does a little more. Today he ran some half-speed routes — sans helmet — during the early portion. Still doesn’t appear to be ready to practice yet.
