Anyway, to beat Dallas we have to minimize the influence of Joe Barry (obviously) and run the ball. Hopefully Dillon is a go. Need to have a good rotation and keep the guys fresh.

Agree but disagree about Dillon.   The whole point of keeping the miles low on Jones throughout his entire career is so that he can be featured when it matters most.   It matters most this Sunday..  Ride that horse to the next round.

Why would we wish for his firing?  He's a decent man and, despite some shortcomings, did his best for the Packers, including  winning a Super Bowl with a bunch of back up players in critical roles.

You must not have gotten the memo. The Packers won a SB despite MM’s coaching. He was just along for the ride. I read it here…several times.

How is the Dallas defensive backfield as a whole?  It seems like with the Packers' combination of WRs and TEs where everyone is able to step into multiple roles, a standout DB is less impactful than a group of competent defenders across the board.

Exactly!  Good luck covering this group of receivers.

Thinking about this team and the last couple months.  Watching the offense is almost like watching a completely different team.  We knew there would be a lot of new faces, most noticeably at QB.

A lot of us feel refreshed or renewed vs what we watched the last couple seasons, not that it was really that bad.  Just a lot of players, and plays, that we all had seen for many years running.  That seemed to finish the season the same way.  Most of us turned the page once AR, Lazard, Cobb and even Marcedes Lewis were gone and prepared to be patient and maybe a little underwhelmed by the first year of all these rookies and 2nd year guys.

I know everyone is barking about the youngest team to make the playoffs, ever.  But along with that comes the fact that you had a 4x MVP QB and a team in the NFCCG two years ago.  And today, with a completely new QB, WR's TE's and a couple OL and you're back in the playoffs and the offense looks even better?  I don't think I'm exaggerating in saying it's hard to believe.

I'm not sure Packers fans can get any more spoiled than we are right now.

To me it is truly remarkable what the Packers have done totally rebuilding this offense and how far it has come from not that long ago.  I know Gute is not the most popular person for for some on X4 but take a step back and read what DH13 posted.   What he has done and what MLF has done for this offense is just remarkable.

Gute has churned out a Lazarus like comeback of this offensive roster, partially due to his own failures in the previous drafts.  One of the reasons there are so many rookies and 2nd year guys starting or contributing is that his preceding 2-3 drafts came up almost completely snake eyes at WR, TE and RB.  He really hit the lotto the last couple years.  You'll have a hard time finding a better draft haul in one year than what he did last spring.  Good GM's overcome mistakes.

That's going to be the wild card next season.  Is there more talent for a new DC to unlock?  Could be the difference in whether or not this team is SB contender.

It’s interesting to this point the gold standard draft to me has always been the 2000.  Franks, Clifton, Diggs, KGB, and Tauscher.  3 elite players and 2 very solid starters.

1995 was pretty good as well.  Newsome, Henderson, Williams, Freeman, Timmerman and Jervey.

Still, you combine the 2022 and 2023 drafts and holy crap there’s a lot of very good ascending players there.

I have an excuse to check out SoFi next year.

We have been to games there and it's a trip. I recommend NOT parking nearby--take airport parking and they will shuttle you to the stadium. Went to a couple Rams games the year they won the Super Bowl.

Way back in October when we stunk I made reservations in Mazunute, Mexico starting Saturday.  I am wondering if any streaming links work outside the US?

I know, pretty stupid doubting our lads but at least I’ll be warm.

And who knows what Gutey's record would look like if a competent DC had been using the players he's drafted to their maximum ability.

Not to also mention a meddling President who may  have prevented a kings ransom for Rodgers being shipped to Denver.

Gute’s done an admirable despite having to navigate around the triangle of stupid.

Streams will work, shitty WiFi from the resort is your real concern.

If it were me, first thing I would do is start asking the bartenders if the game is going to be played anywhere.  If not, ask about bars nearby that play NFL games.

On my honeymoon 15 years ago, I got up in the middle of the night in Amsterdam and went to the casino to watch a game. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Should be able to find a stream here:

Yup, I use those here just, curious to see if they work in the 3rd world.  Looks like they will if WI-FI connects properly.  If so I’ll post a pic of me sitting poolside sipping a Mexican Ole Fashioned watching another n playoff win.

Oh, that’s how I watch games when I make my annual pilgrimage to the 3rd world. Believe it or not, no over the air NFL games in West Africa.

The Famous game in Dallas where Arod through that crazy pass to The TE Cook that led to Mason Crosby's winning field goal I was in Santa Barbara with my bride, we were biking and finally checked in to the hotel just in time to see the final plays. Crazy exciting.

I don’t know where Mazunute is but I watched the Pack beat the Bucs in a playoff game from my hotel room in Acapulco in the late 90’s. I couldn’t understand the commentary but the video was all that was needed .

What's a Mexican old fashioned? Tequila or bourbon with a really big hat?

Anyone else getting flashbacks? A young team, with nothing to lose, going on the road for a playoff game as an underdog.

Wayne Simmons (RIP) was an absolute beast that day and abused Brent Jones into tears. Would love to see JA set the tone early on like Craig Newsome did with his pick-6.

This win was the coming out party, on the national stage showing the Packers were contenders, during the Holmgren era.

Against a team that (to that point) had been undefeated at home in the divisional round.

+9.5 underdogs +275 on the M/L

Currently vs. Cowboys

Pack is +7.5 underdogs and +275 to +290 on the M/L

Some interesting parallels

Jan 1996. I made so much money on that game. Lolol 😆

This time. I'm not betting
