If #Packers tied Seahawks at 12-4, very much matters which game Packers lose. If they beat Bears but lose to Titans, their 10-2 NFC record would trump Seahawks’ 9-3 NFC record. If same NFC record, goes to strength of victory. Too close to call right now. So, just beat the Bears.
Actually if beat Titans lose to Bears, the Seachickens get 1 seed assuming that they win out. Common opponents, Seattle 5-0, Green Bay 4-1, Vikings loss will bite us in the a$$
Beat the Titans, Rams beat Seattle and we have #1 locked up with a week to spare. Make it happen!

25 years or so ago, the Packers held Barry Sanders to negative yardage in a playoff game at Lambeau Field.
I expect this coming weekend that the Packers will NOT duplicate that feat vs. Derrick Henry. 😀
This might be the best offense the Pack plays against this regular season. The Titans have 2 WRs within striking distance of 1000 yards receiving, they’ve got Henry, and an athletic QB playing pretty well. Pettine is probably going to have a few fitful nights of sleep in preparation for this one.
I feel the way things sit right now, Tennessee wins this game. The Packers are better on the road, and they are not going to slow down Derrick Henry. If our receivers can run free, then the Pack can win a 35-31 type affair. But make no mistake, Tennessee is a very good football team.
Packers are 6-1 at home and 5-2 on the road. Avg margin of victory at home is 10+.
Don't understand this thinking that they are better on the road.
Will be shocked if the Packers can hold the Titans under 30 points.
I predict that Derrick Henry will rush for eleventy billion yards against the Pack. Or maybe just 150 - 200 yards. 😁 I do agree that in order to pull out a win it will take a flawless performance by the O in a relatively high scoring game.
He'll get 300 yards rushing (New single game record) & Vrabel will try to keep Rodgers on the sideline.

Pettine will be totally prepared but will have to give up something. My guess is that we will play a 5-2-4 look on early downs. CBs are going to have to hold up. Gotta win the turnover battle.
The bad news: Titans are a difficult matchup that the Packers could very well lose.
The good news: Doesn't really matter if you beat the Bears.
Depends entirely on which GB and which Titans teams show up. MLF knows Vrable andtheir OC, hopefully he does to them what Shannahan did to him last year.

That's very true but I also think the Titans can give up points as well. If you look at the stats they have a bottom 5 pass defense and a middle of the road rushing defense so they can be scored on. I think they get by with it because their offense is pretty damn good. And as you would guess they are the best at running the ball.
I want the win over the Titans so incredibly bad. My step son is a huge bandwagon Titans fan and is obnoxious about it. Go Pack Go!

I agree, Fedya. What has Pettine changed, in the past, to make us think he will be ready for Henry and the Titans WRs? Our Defense has played better than they have all season, of late. Was any improvement, on our Defense, due to Pettine stepping up? I can see the position coaches making a difference, with the players' level of performance, but Pettine? Not much.

Do we have enough though? KC is our only quality DL, Lanc and Rush are just big bodies, Keke and Lowry are undersized interior guys. Sims was another big body, but he's on IR. There are things we can criticize Gute and Pettine for, but the lack of quality interior DL depth was criminal mismanagement by Gute. It's the only area where I give Pettine a pass. How do you scheme any kind of respectable run defense when the LOS seems automatically 3 yards downfield because you're starting backups every play? How do you get any kind of effective ILB play when they're getting piled on by OL every play? Martin/Barnes success is all the more impressive because they're rarely clean enough to make a play against the run and yet they frequently do.
We need our edge guys to play their best game of the year because if Henry gets the edge then we're fucked. He throws DBs away like they're high school kids. Play disciplined ball on the playside, swarm to him on the backside, don't let Tannehill throw deep and you will slow them down. That worked for PIT...
I want to see Barnes and Martin start in the ILB spots. Kirksey should be used as a back up, there. I want to see Winn and Rush, on the field, together, too. I want to see our O Line protect Rodgers, all game long. If our offense sputters, like they did in the 2nd half against Carolina, it will be a very long day for GB. Carolina took away one of Rodgers biggest weapons--his legs. All the sacks and hits on Rodgers happened when he stayed in the pocket and had no where to go, when Carolina blitzed. Rodgers got swallowed up in the pocket. He looked a lot like, what I think Custer looked like, at Greasy Grass. Completely surrounded, with no where to run to. MVS, Lazard and ESB had better be ready to play, and one or two of them had better look to be open, underneath the coverage, for when Tennessee rushes Rodgers. That goes for Jones and Williams/Dillon/Austin, too. The same goes for our TEs. I know that's a lot of people being prepared to give Rodgers an outlet, but better safe than sorry. Maybe our RBs can punch through their defense like many think Henry will do, to ours. GO PACK, GO!!!
Gotta force some turnovers and get some negative plays. My guess is if there are any 4th and shorts the Titans are in 4 down territory (see Grave diggers post above about our stout dline ). Can't let them have many long scoring drives and amassing a big TOP difference.
While the TItans are a fine team, they are by no means invincible.

Barnes and Martin did start against the Panthers and seemed very effective. Barnes went out with an eye injury and Kirksey seemed far less effective.
I don’t much care how many yards that Henry gets, just as long as we score more points than they do. Kamara ate us alive but we won against NO. Just keep Henry out of the end zone and keep Tannahill from too many completions.
How many teams with winning records have we beaten? It's a loss. Let's not fret over it. It will come down to the Bears game.
You can only play who you are scheduled to play. Not the Packers fault the teams they play suck. Also they have given losses to those teams. But when they beat the Titans and then the Bears that will be 2 more teams that have winning records when they beat them That will make the 3-2 on the season.

The Titans present the Packers toughest challenge to date. They have a power running game that’s virtually unstoppable, and a very good QB and one of the most underrated big play WRs in the game. Their defense is solid and play well with the lead and special teams are also very good.
The good news is the Titans are in the AFC. They are not a good matchup for the Packers at all. In fact, they are the closest thing to last years Niners team only TN is much better on offense with passing game.
This is truly a put up or shut up game for Pettine and the D. Show us you have a pair and getting ready for a fistfight because the Titans want to punch you in the face and then kick you in the ribs. I’m tired of seeing the D get manhandled by physical teams. Step your game up!

Do inept people struggle with sleep? I always kinda thought the reason they're inept is due to believing they got it all covered when they're nowhere close. If Pettine has fitful nights, it would follow that he knows how bad his defense really is. I'm not convinced he's reached that point. After three years. And numerous embarrassing performances. And a rectal invasion for the world to see in a title game.

He has moved Kirksey to Will LBer and Barnes / Martin to Mike. He has changed fronts depending on down / distance and opponent. Changed coverages also. There is a lot going on out there that you are apparently unaware of.
