Wow, bunch of scaredy cats in here.
Titans offense might get theirs, but their defense is nothing special. Rodgers should put up some points.

Are you as fun to watch Packer games with as you appear to be on this site?

Well Winn is on the IR and Rush has played one snap so far, so IDK how much we can expect from them.
To me it comes down to something simple. Keep Henry running east and west and and don't let him get a full head of steam. Keep the gap integrity and gang tackle him. Easier said than done I know but that to me is the key,
I am not so much worried about their WRs even though they are pretty good. I think King and Alexander can handle them. But, my one worry is their TE he is pretty good so they have to make sure they get him covered.
I have full confidence that the Packers defense will do its part to keep the Packers offense well rested.
Youβd think GB was playing a juggernaut. The Titans are a good team but GB is better.
GB wins this game by 7+
In the Packers losses this year they basically allowed 150 or so rush yards per game. Cook could have gone for 200 if they wanted him to and Henry is better IMO.
Letβs also not forget Davis and Brown are as good of a big play WR duo as there is in the league.

Their WR's are helped by defenses having to bring extra defenders down to throw themselves at Henry's shins. So 23 and 20 need to man up and do their job.
Aside from 1 or 2 whoopsies where guys were reaching for velcro waste flags, I saw a glimmer of improvement from their overall tackling and run stopping vs CAR. Bridgewater had a chunk of their rushing yards and that's a slightly different schematic issue than stopping RB's. But as many have already said, Henry is a different animal.
Matt LaFleur says Derrick Henry will be a "great challenge for our defense" Sunday night: "I hope we've come far, but we'll find out on Sunday."

Really curious on how and if the game will play into Pettine's future with the team.

Yeah, because Tannerhill isnβt way more mobile that Bridgewater.

By the time Rodgers was drafted Favre had already talked about retirement for 3 years. Rodgers has stated unequivocally that he wants to play into his 40s which would take him until at least 2024. Despite that, they decided to draft his replacement by giving up their 1st and 4th round picks. They also drafted a RB in the second that the plan seems to have been to have waiting for when Aaron Jones left for a big contract after this season. DeGuara might have been a contributor this year, but at best he was going to be a 2nd string TE. They didn't do much to try to improve this year's team.
In the same draft we picked Rodgers, we drafted Nick Collins who started every game at safety as a rookie, T. Murphy who until he had the preseason neck injury was probably going to get snaps at WR, and some other guys who at least contributed as backups and on special teams (Poppinga, for example). In other words, Rodgers fell to where they were drafting him, they took him, and then still tried to improve the team for that year with the rest of the draft. They had a terrible year (4-12), but people often forget that their 2 best offensive players other than Favre missed almost the entire year after getting injured (Ahman Green after 5 games and Javon Walker during the first game). If those guys are healthy, that team is much better than 4-12.
The 2021 preseason games will be some of the most interesting exhibition games to watch in years, especially if the Packers fall short of winning a Super Bowl. At least when Rodgers was drafted, we got to see him play in preseason games his first year. He didn't look great, but at least he got some reps.
In Rodgers's second preseason (which is the first time we will see Love), he was 22 for 38 for 324 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 interception. There was still some skepticism about him, but a 101 passer rating suggested he was at least going to be competent.
Rodgers had a lot of pressure on him, obviously, but I would argue there will be even more pressure on Love. If the Packers end up anything short of winning the Super Bowl this year, people will always wonder whether it was a massive mistake not to some more moves this past offseason to win immediately (like drafting any contributors with their top picks instead of guys they knew weren't going to play much as rookies). The front office didn't have the justifiable concern that TT did in 2005 when Favre was taking retirement every offseason with the media.
It's not his fault, but Jordan Love has a very high bar to clear to be seen as a good draft choice by Gutey/MLF. He has to at least be a Pro Bowl-caliber QB within the first 5 years he's a Packer.
Are you sure you don't have more to say?
Heβll have the cleanest, tickleiest butthole this side of St. Louis?
@FLPACKER posted:So what is your definition of "stop"...presently we are 11th in the NFL. Since Pettine has started making these changes (last 3 games) we are averaging giving up 94 yards rushing ....the league average is 118.
Solid point.
With that said, Lancaster and Lowry. Lowry has stepped it up a bit the past couple of weeks. Itβs hard to be confident about the middle of this defense against a guy like Henry.
They held CAR (no CMC) to ~90 not counting Bridgewater's runs and PHI to ~80 minus Hurts. They also jumped to early leads vs these two teams which no doubt took some of the running plays out their playbooks for most of the game. They did a lot better vs. DET who they were neck and neck with all game. DET and CAR are both in the bottom half of the league in rushing and PHI is #10.
So various factors have made it easier for the D to stop the run. That said, I did like what I saw vs CAR. They seemed quicker to the ball collectively (vs the standing around we've seen earlier) and there were fewer chunk plays other than 1 or 2 matador efforts. Barnes stood out the most for simply showing up behind the LOS.
All this leads to TEN being really good test.
If they hold Henry in check then I think itβs not unrealistic to think Super Bowl. IF they continue to play like this. If they get gashed by Chicago then itβs back in the shitter.
Martin guesses wrong occasionally at LB but I like his aggressiveness, and Barnes blowing up that screen right before he went out with the eye injury was awesome, to say nothing to swatting the ball out of Teddy's hands at the goalline and King picking it up and going a long way.

Rodgers may want to play into his 40's but there is no guarantee he will or will be effective into his 40's. Look at how fast Brees and Roethlisberger have declined and Big Ben isn't 40 yet. Brady is beginning to look like a guy on his last legs too. If Rodgers shows the same rapid decline as the above mentioned QBs in the next year or 2 we may be glad Love was drafted when he was.

Theyβll get over it right about the time Love is celebrating his third Super Bowl ring. Love is an Arod type physical talent with humility and coachability.
Poor Vikings and Bears fans. Watching us run out a 3rd consecutive HOF QB will be too much for them. Sudden unexplained mass suicides in Chicago and Minneapolis in 2025.

It's great the 1 seed might come down to beating Chicago's ass in Chicago. C'mon. That's the only way to kick off 2021.
I think that the hope was that with good coaching, Hundley would be better. Unfortunately, MM was his coach.
Kid was a black hole of talent.
Jets & Jags each have as many victories over winning teams as do the Packers in 2020.
Time for the Green & Gold to show they are contenders not just pretenders.
Henry is the modern day version of Bo Jackson and Jim Brown and Earl Campbell wrapped up into one package.
On what will be a slippery, slow track I expect he will dominate. Thereβs nothing this defense has shown to lead us to believe he wonβt.
And if the Packers stack the box to stop the run then their WRs can blow the top off the defense with playaction bombs.
Itβs just a bad matchup. Titans 31 Packers 21. Henry goes wild and approaches 230. Maybe 250.
in the end who cares? We want the Bores and the chance to bury those fuckers. You couldnβt draw it up and better than that.
