Yep, they did. Against a pretty damn good DL.

Time to activate WR Ryan Grant 2.0 for some unscouted looks vs Vikes.

He's had time to learn playbook and it's not like we will suffer giving a few  MVS/GMO snaps to him and see what he's got.

I'd like to see Erwin/Ervin line up for slot duty.  Adams, Lazard and Kumerow.  Let's see what the Sternberger kid can do too.

Quick reminder. Winston Moss would have never allowed Z Smith to be moved around around like a hunter killer the way Mike Smith has moved him around as a year 1 OLB coach. It's like Kevin Greene is back. Great reminder that last year at this time Philbin was firing Moss for being Moss while coaching out the clown show on an interim basis..... seems like a long time ago doesn't it.

Fuck the Vikings.

Found on the internet: Receiver returns: The Packers need a lot more from the receivers behind Davante Adams in the passing game, but there’s no denying how effective they are in the run game. Almost every week, Allen Lazard, Geronimo Allison and Jake Kumerow are delivering key blocks to help spring a run. Lazard is the best of the bunch. He’s a big body who seeks out contact. The Packers often motion him into a blocking position and have him assigned on a player at the point of attack, and he often wins. On at least two different snaps on Sunday, Lazard motioned in and then blocked Ha Ha Clinton-Dix out of the play.

Clinton Dix diving at WI air trying to tackle Whitewater Geezus was slightly better than Aaron Jones running through Ha Ha on his TD run. If Graham blocked downfield Whitewater walks in. The guy Graham didn't block was almost blocked by Aaron Jones who ran 30 yards behind the play trying to throw freedom.

You want Aaron Jones involved in a lot of plays. As many as possible.

The Niners are really banged up right now on defense and have not played as well lately.  Very possible they lose another game.

I'd be surprised if they beat the Seahawks.

Now the Hags won't have Josh Gordon. That's huge vs the Whiners.

Yeah I noticed that. MLF has got to have the stones to cut Jimmy G's snaps. He's costing us points.

Curt has been playing real well. Theilen back helps a lot. Get some pressure on him early and don't drop the picks and the Vikes will go down.

Oh, and Mr Elite and the gang on O will probably need to score near 30. Throw in a punt return TD and it's on to the Lions.

Why not us?

No, it's genious, now Zim will have to spend hours coming up with a Jake package.  He may not sleep well this week.

Yeah the douche culture has seemingly permeated that organization regardless of who the coach is. As long as I've been alive the Vikings teams have always been assholes on the field and often times bigger assholes off the field. I want to see the game close enough that Cousins has the opportunity to win it on the last drive to become a hero and maybe start to justify their investment, only to toss a dummy INT and lose everything...if they could somehow simultaneously find out they're eliminated from the playoffs that would be good for me too.

With all the questions about the quality of our receivers,  maybe the Packers should sign Nathan Poole for this game.

Pssst.

Here are some dirty little secrets.

The Queens are actually very talented on both sides of the ball. Their worst unit, the OLine, has been playing better and their coaches have been scheming around that weakness quite effectively.

Thus, they are rightly favored by LV in the upcoming game.

Unfortunately, for the team and their fans, the Queens are also NOT going to win the NFC North even if they beat the Pack next Monday night.

This means the Queens will be a WC team and they are highly, highly unlikely to go on the road and win 3 games on their way to the SB (4-4 on the road this season).

And once they inevitably lose their road playoff game the team with the least cap space in the NFL will begin the roster bloodletting - bye bye to Rhodes and to Waynes and to Reiff and possibly to Griffen and to Rudolph, etc.

And say goodbye to Stefanski meaning yet another Offensive Coordinator (possibly Kubiak) will take over next season.

This was the Queens' best shot and not winning the North killed it.

Deliciousness awaits.

The Vikes really have looked good ever since the huge comeback win vs. the Broncos.  At times I've been impressed with Cousins but I don't know that he can get the Vikings through a very tough playoff gauntlet.  He was the #1 reason they lost to the Pack in week 2 but to his credit, I think he's looked much better than that in recent weeks.

Right cuz it's gonna be Jace time in Minnehaha. #87

Rodgers is 43-43 on the road, time to get into the black.

I didn't have good feeling about Bears game but I do vs Vikes. That said it is hard to beat a team 3x and we likely will play them again. Win Sun for home field playoff rematch.

There's nothing I'd like to see more than the Vikes losing their last 2, getting passed by the Rams, missing the playoffs entirely, and left wondering WTH happened to their season. Again.

Of course, it's not very likely, but we can do our part to make it so, as long as the Rams do their part. We'll know before kickoff.

Locally the talk is that he'll play. However from what I understand he has 2 separate injuries, the shoulder (most recent) and the chest injury from a couple weeks ago. If he does play I doubt he's at full strength and another bad hit may keep him from finishing the game. His backup isn't bad either though (Mattison).

Paul Krause was a local and I always liked Bud Grant. Intense dislike for the Queens has really been relatively recent.

Not me my white hot hatred of them started as a young kid.  I have a lot of relatives from the Twin cities and every holiday as a kid I got to hear how great the spermheads where and how crappy the Packers where (which was to be fair true).

So to get some revenge every Thanksgiving or Christmas I would wear the shirt of the most recent team the Vikings lost to in the Super Bowl.   My dad would buy them for me to wear and he still laughs about what a little SH!+ I was.

MLF was talking about this in his presser yesterday, which explains why Allison is still getting the snaps he does. He also talked about MVS and how hard he's practicing. He firmly believes MVS will pull out his funk and catch ball. Sounds like he's enamored with his speed and not willing to give up on him.

1) They play Monday Night 🙂

2) If the Packers lose Monday Night they probably still play them a 3rd time for a Lambeau field rematch.

Unless the Packers lose to the Lions too

Most likely scenario is that we lose Monday, beat Lions, win the North & host Vikes in first round.

Agree...  and it's not the worst scenario either.    I don't want to have to beat them 3 times.     I'm not rooting for a loss, but I won't be bothered by it.

If there is any possibility Cook has to sit, Zimmer isn't going to tell that to the Packers on a Monday. Pettine will plan for him to play all week, but I won't be shocked if we see him limited in practice all week and then a ? mark before game time. Perfect chess move by one eye

Their back up RB, Boone, looks an awful lot like Cook running the ball. Scheming for Cook should translate to Boone rather nicely. Zimmer is so predictable when it comes to his "injured" players. Always playing the "cagey" game of how bad they are injured. He let the cat out of the bag with Thielen, though, when he had him play a game, to shake off the rust, to be ready for the Packers. Screw the vikings! Let's win this game and leave their field covered in purple stains.
