Really, BK is missing out...Haaland is a player sent from God for his fandom...fastest in the PL, once played GK and could get cast as a criminal in any number of commercials.

He’s so fast someone we know, cough Chongo cough, once stated he ran like a baby deer.

Once again, they failed to pick Z as a captain. He’s going to be PISSED😡

My prediction for Sunday is a Vikings win, let's say about 23-17.

I still think the Packers will win the division, but the Vikings will have some new unscouted looks on offense with the new coaching staff, it's a road game, and it will be the first live game reps for Rodgers with a large percentage of his receiving corps. I'm worried we'll see a repeat of the first game last year when it looked like the Packers hadn't ever played together before.

I think it will take them 2-3 weeks to find their stride.

@ByRyanWood:  #Packers coach Matt LaFleur with status for Sunday's opener at Vikings...

David Bakhtiari: questionable
Elgton Jenkins: questionable
Allen Lazard: doubtful

Robert Tonyan will play, LaFleur said.

It is a long mofo season. If  Bahk and Jenkins aren't ready, sit them.

MLF's answer as to the question about Bakh was kind of twatty...leads me to believe there was an unexpected setback. Hope I'm rong.

I think with the ??? on injuries and the almost complete overhaul of the WR group, we're going to see a lot of new stuff from our side too.  If not in scheme then certainly in personnel.  I don't know how much considering this is WK01 but I'm almost expecting a glorified PS game #5.  Most important goal is getting out of the bird cemetery healthy and getting some good reps in for development's sake.

I don't see a dominant NFC team we need to worry about keeping pace with at this point so whatever needs to be done for the sake of the season vs. the sake of WK01, should be the objective.

It’s huge if you live in viqueen country.  😡

The team and its fans are insufferable when they beat the Packers.  It's their Superb Owl, the only one they have a chance at winning.  I almost feel sorry for them....nah.

The only way this is a "defensive battle" is if GB O gets stuck in low gear because of personnel.  I don't see the MIN D as any kind of worldbeater or even at the level they were at several years ago.

Some Vikings defensive stats from last year:
Ranked 24th overall; 28th vs the pass (avg 253 yards/game), 26th vs the rush (avg 131 yds/game).
Ranked 24th scoring defense.
Somehow, though, they manage to average about 3 sacks/game, so they must have a fair-to-good pass rush. The back end just can't hold up.

The point is they weren't much last year, and I don't think they have significantly improved. If the Packers can at least hit those averages from last year (very doable, IMO), it shouldn't be close.

The biggest key for this game will be ST performance. The Packers must contain punt/KO returns, and not have any protection breakdowns. If they have to chase points that the STs have given up, or sets up their offense to easily score, it'll be a long day for the offense.

just remember - logic says that a newly coached team will suck for the first while until they get the system down, last time I checked no vikings played a full half for the preseason, even still, it takes time to get acclimated...packers will win even if they are rusty.  have to be sure ar doesn't get destroyed and move on to the next game

No, too much stress week one and I can’t take that…….

While I wouldn’t be shocked with a loss, I think to “expect” one is over the top. MN is coming in with a new coaching staff and an inferior team minus a few positions. I think GB learned some lessons from last year’s opener and they won’t be dealing with the same external issues they dealt with in Jax.

Fuck them. GB wins going away (don’t know what that means still, but it fits). I have confidence.

Don't quite understand the logic I'm seeing that the Queens will have a seamless transition to a completely new coaching staff while the Packers will struggle with losing Davante Adams. I see the game as more likely to be a comfortable Packer win than a Queen victory.

31-17 Packers, and it's not as close as the score indicates.

I'll be watching the TV broadcast, but will be listening to Wayne and Larry call the game on the Packers Radio Network. It's nice to get some Packer's perspective, from Wayne and Larry, instead of the bull coming from announcers who don't follow the Packers, for a living.
