FYI.....I'm betting the Vikings this week & everyone knows out 25 sports bets I probably lose 24 of them.

If the Vikings children on this board can stay out, I would appreciate that. Trash talking can go to the NFC North board. I would rather candidly talk about the game here.

The Vikings are so much better than us, it's not funny, except at the magic position. QB! And at the two tackle positions, I guess. To beat those guys at Minny, everyone needs to raise their level of play and Arod needs to be Arod.

Worst fans in pro sports? I think so.

Edit: Why can't I post a full sized image?

Original posts from Viking fans remain small forever. Reasons why have evaded internet detectives for years. No way around it.

I don't think they are much better at WR/TE when we're healthy which we are right now.

That said, their front 7, safeties, and RBs are quite a bit better.  That front 7 is a beast to deal with and Cook will be a matchup nightmare for our LBs.

I am not entirely sure that the gap between the Packers and Vikings is as huge as many think. Now I do agree that the spermheads D is better but I am still not sold that their offense is better than the Packers.  I do think that the Packers HAVE to start quickly in this game and get a lead.  The Packers simply can't afford to have a sluggish start and the leadership on this team needs to make sure everyone understands that.

One other thought I have is that I bet #12 is going to be very motivated to beat that team this week and that right there I think gives us a shot.

Gameplan will be similar to the 2nd half against the Bears. Keep AR upright, let the WR make plays, but I think they need to work harder to get Graham involved. Cobb and Graham challenging the seam will keep those Safeties off balance and force 1on1 opportunities with the CBs and LBs.

Defensively they need to take the ball away. Cousins will press if they get behind and opportunities will open up to take the ball away.

Vikings fan buddy of mine all huffy that Arod is getting all this attention for throw a bunch of unremarkable passes while faking an injury. My question? Why are you so bitter? He had no answer to that, but we all know why don't we?

It may just be a smoke screen but MM did not commit to Aaron even starting this week. But at least there were no other reported injuries last night. We still have not seen JG except as a diversion in the pass game. This week the oppositions defense is very good but different. More pressure up the middle and tight coverage on the receivers. If there ever was a game where Aaron needed more time in the pocket it’s this one. My opinion is that the pressure in the middle last night was more worry some for Sunday than a repeat of Mack’s pressures. Short passes would have helped. Again, short accurate passing and a run game would help Sunday when the pressure comes up from the middle.

Cook is a lot better than anything we can drag out there next week, and I think Thielen and Diggs are better than Adams and Cobb. That one is close though. Our line is better.

Their defense is better than ours at every position, but then again, that defense has to face #12. Ours doesn't.

I only saw the first half of the Vikings game, but Cook looked very good, like he had never been injured.  Only really bad thing he did was on an impressive run where he was breaking tackles left and right, 1 guy got in there and caused him to fumble.  Other than that, I thought he looked really really good.  He's a stronger,  more explosive version of our own Aaron Jones.

There defense is strong across the board, but Daniels and Clark as almost as good as any interior DL duo in the league. Clark is an elite DL who is still only 23 years old. He's the one elite draft pick from the disasters that were the 2015 and 2016 TT draft (Martinez and Lowry and even Montgomery are decent picks - the other 11 are just awful).

I wouldn't put too much into the breaking tackles.  San Fran was absolutely abysmal with their tackling all game long.  That is a sloppy team.  I can definitely tell you this.  There is no doubt in my mind that Cousins will give plenty of opportunities for picks.  It's damn near a given he will throw a rookie ball.  It's the weirdest thing too.  He's looking good, throwing some great passes and then his brain locks up and makes the stupidest rookie throw.

Did you watch their game yesterday?  How did Cook look coming off the IR?  Just curious.

I watched. Cook looks fine. I have NFI what the Packer defense is going to do without LB'ers vs. swing passes to Cook.

Cannot be in a 20 point hole to the purple pussies.

A lot will depend on whether Burks or Josh Jones are available. Those were essentially their top 2 guys for playing the middle of the field on passing downs.

I watched a good portion of the Vikings and Niners game.

Cousins made some nice throws, but he should have had a couple of picks that were played poorly by the SF defense.  Garrapolo missed a lot of throws period.  He had the yips and looked scared especially late in the game.

The Vikings DL was dominant but the Niners OL was really porous and they had some injuries.  The key to that defense is Harrison Smith.  He’s really freaking good.  Like Nick Collins or Earl Thomas good.  He may not be as good in coverage as those two, but he is always around the ball and seems to have a knack for making the big plays.

The Vikings had some problems with Kittle at TE but the Niners WRs are not anywhere near as good as the Packers WRs.  What I saw was a lot of grabbing by Waynes and Rhodes.

Trey Wayne's got hurt yesterday. Hammy. Might be out.

I think Jimmy Graham will be YOOOOOOGE in this game.

On JG.  I thought the same about the Bears game. But he was, at best, a diversion. He sure is not a good blocking TE like Lewis is but I think he scared the Bears D enough to help our other receivers get a chance.

Watched most of game vs 9'ers. Vikings look very balanced, O-line actually held up better than I thought they might. Of course with Cook being successful SF had to honor the run throughout. I agree Cousins has yet to show his true colors and will throw some junk when rattled. He can get tentative but Pettine is going to have to find a way to get to him early and knock him around without getting flagged (is that still possible?). SF had opportunities in that game but they ended being thin at receiver and couldn't pull it off. I really like the Packs receiving corps when it all comes together and is clicking. At the least I think they gave the Vikings D something to think about last night. Let's hope what we saw in the first half was the last of the pre-season rust.

Stop Cook, then stop Cook, then repeat. Put the game on Cousin’s shoulders. I think he’s more than a serviceable QB, but as has been mentioned will make a dick head throw or 5.

I hope you all know of my hatred of  the Vikings. I’ve come to the conclusion that I root for them to lose as much as I root for GB to win. ****ty state, ****ty people, even their **** is ****ty. I bet Prince deep down loathed being from there (RIP). I want this game bad, but that doesn’t mean anything. I think AR wants this game though which hopefully will mean a lot.

Yeah, forgot about Mike Daniels. He's better than Sheldon Richardson, although Richardson was an absolute monster yesterday.
