Vikes are going to be up in the WR's face with 2 deep Safeties.    They know that #12 is going to what to get the ball out on time this week because of lack of mbility.

OL is going to have to hold up and win the one on ones to give the WR an extra second to shake free.     We need to be able to run the ball, we need the screen game to be on point and we need Jimmy Graham down the middle splitting those safeties.

Absolutely sucks that Jones is out.  ****ing weed charge.  Stupid.

Bears had their ends jamming Graham any time he lined up near the tackle.   Even Mack, on one play I recall Collinsworth mistakenly saying that Graham chipped Mack when in fact it was Mack initiating contact trying to disrupt his route.

Very smart, they knew the easiest route to the QB against this line was up the middle so they utilized the end to help take Graham out.  This also kept the end from getting washed out of potential running lanes for #12.   Fangio is no dummy.

If that continues throughout the season, need to set his split a little wider.

The Vikings will absolutely gameplan for AR. And if he ends up not playing, nothing at all changes for the Queens as far as their game plan. Unless, of course, they design plays using only 8-9 defenders for the challenge. There is absolutely nothing that Kizer can do that AR can’t that would throw off the VIkes.

Scouts: Vikings better everywhere but QB (if it's Aaron Rodgers)

Both the NFC scout and AFC scout agreed that the Vikings, also 1-0 after their opening win over the 49ers, were better than the Packers in every area except quarterback, while the AFC scout added that the two teams were practically equal on the offensive line and perhaps in the secondary.

Hard to argue that overall the Queens don't have the better roster.

I'd like their RB - Maybe one of their safeties & definitely their LB'ers. Use their DL for rotational & keep Packers DL fresh

I'd rate Packer LB'ers at #32

Don't think they're "better" in any other area.

Rodgers would turn Diggs & Thielen into Moss & Edelman

Tough SOB:

Aaron Rodgers called his injury a "sprained knee." He said he didn't take any pain medications on Sunday night because he doesn't like them. "There was a lot of adrenaline," he said, "and (it's) pretty sore the last three days." He said he feels "a little better every day." He said he did not practice at all today and stayed at the stadium for treatment.

On Burks..

Ryan Wood

Other than Rodgers and Adams, safety Josh Jones (ankle) only other player not practicing Wednesday. ILB Oren Burks, who was inactive Sunday night because of shoulder injury, participated. We’ll see what Burks does tomorrow in pads.

Hope he is taking anti-inflammatory meds.

Sprained knee (depending on severity) would typically take 3-6 weeks to heal.  The Packers schedule until the bye doesn’t look so bad and that’s 7 weeks out.

Always possible they could shut him down but my guess is they will see how this week goes.

Hey! Did MM grow a pair? I cannot remember the last time MM actually called a guy out like this in public, and it even includes a threat!

Silversteinn writing about the jamming tactic on Graham that i mentioned.   I could definitely see the Vikes doing this as well.   McCray is that bad that it's worth it to just take your end out of the initial rush.

On defense, the Bears came up with an unusual but effective way to take tight end Jimmy Graham out of the game and isolate Akiem Hicks, the best defensive tackle in the division, against second-year guard Justin McCray.

It was a brilliant game plan because it put pressure on Rodgers and took away his most likely target when under duress.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio’s plan to take away Graham called for his outside linebackers to line up wide anytime the tight end lined up in a “flex” formation, which is a stand-up position a few yards outside the tackle. At the snap, the linebacker would jam Graham and disrupt his timing before heading off to chase Rodgers.

He probably heard some version of it himself in the offseason.

Then just counter with Lewis.

Listening to Pat Erwin & Jim Miller on NFL radio today. They were speculating on how the Vikes defense may play us. Said they  thought that they would press our receivers & flood the short routes, trying to force AR into 5 step drops, betting that their pass rush would get there before our receivers could get downfield. Also said that if they thought AR could not run, they would allow their outside rushers to both inside & outside lane rushes, not worrying about containment. Neither thought that our run game was good enough to counter this strategy. Seems like not many media types think we can win this game, which is why they play the game.

Not an option... it was abolished.

All this chatter about AR and his knee... will he or won’t he play?  Does he get “shut down?”  Please....

The guy has a sprain, most likely to his MCL.  He’s 100% playing.  Similar to the Bare game, he’ll wear a sleeve and do his work in the shotgun/pistol.  I see a lot of TE sets to help with protection and short to intermediate passing.

Oh... and GB wins the game.  **** old one-eye and his team.

Regardless of the outcome I'm loving all the agonizing and panty-twisting going on in MN right now about whether AR plays or not. I think it gave them a reminder of what he can do. Puts a little dent in their bravado and reminds them that, stacked roster or not, the game has to be played and anything can happen.

We’re Nobody’s Home Underdog!

Oh I love it that the Pack is an underdog and no one is giving them a shot.  According to the media and Spermhead fans it would be a Christmas miracle for the Packers to win.  But if they do I cannot wait for the Spermhead fans meltdown and all of the excuses they will come up with.

He knows his ass is in the hot seat. If he has to play any back up QB he better perform or they’ll both be unemployed

Funny that he seemed to let things slide for Bazooka Joe.

Part of the "tough" talk on Kizer may be MM feeling the heat himself. I do not have the feeling MM's job is remotely safe.

When Kizer went in, once again, MM looked like a deer in the headlights completely shell shocked Aaron was out. Take Rodgers or Favre out as the QB, time and again MM looks lost.
