A battle to the end is how I see it, Patriots try running early but have to punt too often, so Bellicheat puts it in the hands of his best asset and Gronkowski makes us look bad. Pats up 21-17 at the half, but we defer and Rodgers leads an excellent drive that ends with a touchdown pass to his tight end namesake. A third quarter INT of Brady leads to another Packer score, Lacy shreds them, Pack wins 38-31.

Pats are overall the better team and the only real advantage I give the Packers is home field. That said, absolutely no indication the defense is up to the task of dealing with Brady and the Pat offense. Close game with the edge to the visitors.

Michigan. I'm gonna' have to disagree with your detective work. I'll take AR over Brady and it's not close. I'll take GB WRs over NE Regardless of the greatness of Gronk. I'll take GBs OL over NE. You could make an argument the two best defensive players on the field are Packers. Clay and Peppers. Revis is still good but he's not better than Julius.
I know January /February is usually the time everyone remembers, "oh yeah, I forgot the NFC is totally better than the AFC" but I think that comes into play today.
Going to to be a fun game to watch but I see 45-31 GB Simply based on the roll GB has been on at home.
I think this game comes down to a couple of things, all related to defense (despite the great QBs playing:
-Can the Packers D limit Gronk more effectively than Revis/Browner can limit Jordy/Cobb?
-Can the Packer run D stop the Pats running game more effectively than the Pats run D stopping Lacy?
-Does Belicheck do a better job scheming against McCarthy/Rodgers than Capers does against Brady/Belicheck?
Since Sept Bill has been pushing all the right buttons, pass this week, run that week, this back, that back. MM been on a roll also, moving Claymaker being one example. Brady, Rodgers is a wash. Looks like Lang and Perry should be able to go. The only ad I see in this game is home field, weather as of today looks like it should not be a factor. In short, a pretty even matchup.

Pats match up well with this team unfortunately. Both have good secondary's but the Pats have that one shutdown guy while the Packers just have more of a collection of solid DB's. Most importantly, Dom Capers defense hasn't done well vs elite teams/QB's for years. Until that happens, hard not to expect the same again on Sunday

This still won't change my mind regarding the team, though. If they take care of business down the road and secure HFA, I really like their chances of getting to the SB, and once you are in the big game, anything can happen.
What do those numbers mean??? What's the criteria? It would be nice if the site had some sort of explanation of their stats, unless it's there and I'm missing it.
And for what it's worth, the Pats are ranked second as a road team. Of course, there's no context of the numbers. But they're second. So at least they have that going for them.

Having said that, this is a chance to make a huge statement, and the beer would flow at my place following a Packer win that's for sure!

Colts were weak up the middle, and Luck didn't play as good as Rodgers will. Other games were in Boston, so they're not comparable.
Could be a very long and difficult day for the defense. That's probably pretty good advice for Dom as well.
I'll be there watching as Aaron and Lacy methodically at times confuse and than overpower the NE D. I think we score easily and put up at least 35. I think our secondary has little trouble with their WR's as we've handled much better. The biggest worry as everyone knows is Brady and his relentless machine gun like 5 - 8 yard passes over the middle. I'm encouraged that Hawk is no longer a 3 down player so with a little pass rush and Hyde/Heyward roaming around the middle we can handle that part of their game.

As one who predicted the Patriots, I detect homerism here, with its typical attendant penchant for a bit of attack (Depends wearing).
I just think the Patriots offense will have an easier time exploiting the Packer's defense than will the Packer's offense exploiting the Pat's defense.
Furthermore, while I appreciate a home field advantage, the Packers have demonstrated the capacity to play a pretty much mediocre game (Vikings) - and that a whole 5 days ago.
While even saying the above, I see the Packers as #2 team in the league, though Seattle's performance yesterday gives me cause for uncertainty on that count.
I live near Cape Cod (traumatized Packer fan for life - was 6 months old for the Super Bowl 2 win and was then tortured in WI throughout the 70s and 80s). My neighbor pulled out in the RV about an hour ago. Making his first trip to Lambeau.
Everyone out here is so on the Brady / Belichek love wagon it makes you want to puke. (and they are all front running football fans) I pray that some how the Pack's D can stop their run. Otherwise it will be a long day and once again we will see that the Pack's D is only decent if the O scores 42 to mask the Ds deficiencies.

Pats offense is a bad matchup for us. Power run game and pass game that features tightends. They are strong up the middle and we, well, we start Hawk, Jones, Guion and a UDFA.
I predict the low score for the Pack because the Pats will control the clock. Won't be surprised to see them run out the last 6 mins or so.
this game will come down to which team is able to score the most points.
