Nothing wrong with that either.

Lynn Swann used to take ballet lessons while he was in the NFL.  If anyone used ballet while playing on sundays, it was that dude.

Football players could learn about toughness from ballet dancers. Talk about playing with injuries.

So what kind of numbers will Love need to have to make us feel comfortable. ARs first year he threw for over 4000 yards with 28 TDs and 13 picks and team was 6 and 10.  The biggest thing I remember about AR is he would take a sack rather than throw the ball away but some of the throws he made were incredible. . So if Love throws over 20 TDs with 3500 yards and less than 13 pics and packers have a 7 and 10 or 8 and 9, are we going to feel ok with the QB?

I would.  Not sure yet if that differs depending on record.  Maybe not.  If he throws 20+ and 3500 and <13 picks but they go 4-13, I would probably be more concerned with the rest of the team, however that played out.

But really, there will be much more to evaluate than his stats.  Did he have control of the offense, did he manage the clock, did he protect himself, did he protect the ball, did he rise to the occasion when needed, did he improve over the course of the year, did he make the players around him better?

I'll do my best not to care about the W-L record if things keep heading in the right direction, which will be tough considering the last 30 years.

I’m a Packer fan, not a player fan. I want to see Love do well for the success of the organization. However, after seeing other franchises toil for decades trying to find THAT GUY, reality should tell all of us that the odds of Love being the next great Packer quarterback are astronomically low.

You are probably correct the odds of lightening striking three times in a row and the Packers having a third franchise QB the odds are low but you never know. I personally just want a QB who plays within the system, manages the offense as its designed (and no hero ball) , run the ball well, and for god sake play some real defense I would be fine.

He will be the best QB in NFL history. Stop being a negative nelly. Why can't you be realistic for a change?

What came before JL has absolutely zero to do with his odds of being great, or good, or bad.  The odds are low for greatness, just like they are for any QB.  Depends on Love's ability and determination, and GB's ability to develop him.

Love is attending a free football camp in July that's aimed for children? Didn't we pay him enough to afford to pay someone for a few extra lessons? I was going to post that the reason no other team could find a legendary QB was because we had them all. But this might not end well.
