Naperville man was held on a $1.7 million bond Thursday after police say they found about 37 pounds of cocaine, about two pounds of heroin and more than $250,000 cash in his possession,

Jay Cutler?  It would explain why he never gave a damn about football.

Wow, that was pretty funny. Did you steal it from someone else. Fedya is X4's own Carlos Mencia?

I agree with you except that his family lives in Starke.  This whole thing smells on so many levels, except that there is no arguing about the possession of more chronic than an athlete that needs to stay in shape can reasonably consume in a set period of time.

These are the things that bug me about this:

1) Unloaded gun from MN was registered in that state. I don't know which states he possessed this, but if he registered it somewhere, he ought to know he has to register it elsewhere.

2) A lot of cash which appears to come from recently cashed checks.  Claims he was going to give to family members as he has done in the past.

  • Even if he is acquitted, he won't likely see this $$$ for at least a year based because of this.  This might also explain why he was getting hostile, because he knew it was going to disappear no matter what.
  • Why did he only buy $4800 of weed if he had $190k?  Is it cheaper in FL than up North?
  • If he was intending to distribute, where are the baggies in that picture.  They pull up the coins from car, why not the bags?
  • Those tiny stacks of bills are trying to make it look like there was a lot more money than there was.  If he was selling, did his customers only come with big bills?
  • I wonder if he has done this in years past.  People talk, people might know he was coming...

It may turn out that he was intending to distribute, and I will be ashamed if that happens.  I think there is more to this story and I'm waiting to see what it is before I pass judgement.

Surprised they didn't value the pot by the joynt price.

That's the thing: 3/4 of a pound and close to $200K is anything but typical.

There's definitely a cop boner, and those amounts are the porn.  The gun's the money shot.

Whatever happens it will probably take a while.   Next season is probably shot.

He started this season playing like he was on roller skates.  He just looked God-awful.  By the end, he looked great.  They said it was the injury, but this whole thing makes you wonder if it was the threat of in-season random drug testing that made the difference.  I'm sure it's making Ted wonder.

If he was still a Viking not a single person here would be buying any of the excuses posted.

Anyone who was watched an episode of cops knows you're going to get your cash confiscated if you are found with a large amount of drugs.  There are only two explanations to this.  One, he is a drug dealer (I support legalization but that doesn't matter).   Two, he is one of the dumbest men alive today. Anyone who isn't a criminal knows it's a bad plan to stash a 190k with your drugs and gun.

Those who think the War on Drugs is evil would still be pointing this out, but the rest of the board would be jumping on such posters and calling them dipschits.

that it rots your brain?  Seriously, why would any of the arrestees sign the release forms to have this material shown?

Let's clarify a few things here Rosa Chong.  You called yourself a dipschit.  Several posters simply agreed with you, present company included.  A football message board probably isn't the forum for you to dig your heels in the sand and profess your views on drug laws.

Not sure about the Cops television show.  Perhaps the audio/video captured on camera falls under Public Records laws?

Wrong.  He's guilty of being a complete f'in moron and good riddance but I don't think he's a dealer.  I think it was party time.

If the Packers were looking to extend him as was reported by Demovsky, then it is unlikely he is in the drug program before this incident.  He is not likely to be under suspension by drug policy only behavior policy which is now under Goodell's capricious nature so suspensions are possible.  He wasn't caught last year, indicating he has control over his interest in weed up to this point, contrary to Josh Gordon types.  He is a starter since Raji was injured but could be replaced with another FA.  I see him signed to a minimum (or near minimum) deal if he flies straight for a few months and my suspicions are correct.   We will see.

When some people make mistakes, some of them go apes**** and compound the issue with more mistakes.  Let's hope this isn't the case here.  In any case, the Packers need a couple of bodies at NT in addition to Raji and Guion assuming both are present at training camp.  I think one should be from the draft and another should be a FA similar to Guion.  I felt this way before this incident occurred.

I don't care if he smokes in the off season.  Hell, I don't even care if he smokes on Sunday nights after the game for pain relief.

I do care that he lacks the common sense not to drive around with 3/4 pound and 190k in cash.  Whatever the reason, I suspect dealing others don't, it demonstrates stupidity at a dangerous level.  I don't want that around the organization.

I don't care if he's dealing or not, he's not a fit for the Packers due to general stupidity.  My point is this kind of dumb****ery is really more a norm in Floriduh.  I'm actually applauding him for having a licensed and secured firearm in this case.
