They would only use Slot receivers. Why would you use Wide Receivers when you can have 5 Slot Receivers all in the Slot at the same time? Undefendable. Just think about it.
Ball saved his best run for TT & crew.
All the more reason why TT shouldn't draft him.

6โโฆ200 lbs.
*Good size with a strong buildโฆVery polished route runnerโฆGreat handsโฆDoesnโt have elite deep speed, but has deceptive speed and quicknessโฆGreat candidate for any receiver position on the field, but looks more natural in the SlotโฆGives a great effort as a blocker
Compares to: WR Austin CollieโฆIndianapolis Colts
Stupid human tricks...
Pointless really but fun.
Swope was an intriguing mid 3rd to low 4th WR. Athletic, high character, physical, good hands, good route runner. Then he ran a 4.34 at the combine and got everyones attention. I could see a team reaching just a bit for him in the 2nd. He's already said he's not running another 40 at his Pro Day. Smart kid.

You've described 95% of the innerwebs.
Yeah Swope just bumped himself up an entire round IMO. Deep speed was the question with him and I think it's clear that he answered that. I think the Packers could and probably should snag him in round 2. Jones/Nelson on the perimeter with Swope/Cobb in the Slot, that's deadly!
I say draft Swope, run a package with him, Nelson, Crabby, Taylor and Kuhn and win games on scrappiness alone.
Liked that video H5.
Liked the egg drop. Nice soft hands.
Then someone pops him in the nads with a football

Aside from being a dumbass, how good of a football player is Tyrann Mathieu? Worth the risk?
He's a poor man's Cortland Finnegan. He's energetic, he's not afraid, he has some instincts, he's natural football player, and he plays on pure emotion. More often than not that has yielded success. He's not disciplined in any regard though. He gambles more than he stays true to his assignments. He's light for a CB and although guys like Finnegan proved that height isn't a hindrance, he's really short. Put up against big, strong, disciplined WRs I think he would struggle. He's a big time project. The boom is Antoine Winfield, the bust is Ahmad Carroll...depending on where you take him of course. Much like Janoris Jenkins, he will require time, patience, good coaching, and strong veteran leadership. If he's available on Day 3 it's a consideration because of his natural ability.
Thanks man...
He reminds me more of T-Buck. He gets beaten like a drum, but he will make some big plays that get the fans buzzing.

Sounds like Darren Sharper.
Updated Mock:
1st round: Kyle Long OT/OG Oregon
2nd round: Ryan Swope WR Texas A&M
3rd round: Brian Schwenke C California
4th round: Shawn Williams S Georgia

2nd round: Ryan Swope WR Texas A&M
3rd round: Brian Schwenke C California
4th round: Shawn Williams S Georgia
That would nicely fill our needs. And another bloodline in Green Bay would be interesting.
Fantastic avatar Tobin. Love the picks too. Except I'd go with #82 at SMU in the second. That is the manster we need on D. 40 reps, 4.6 speed, 6ft 8", 280???
Probably gone when we pick so your pick is great to someday replace Jennings with 4.3 speed. Hands catcher too.

Based on different articles, tweets, etc..., this seems to be the consensus statement from the past week.
Every team says the same thing about this draftโฆ weak up top but incredibly deep. 2nd and 3rd round will be outstanding!

Initial reports he ran an unofficial 4.4. Official times, not so much.

If a situation with Geno Smith or some other QB dropping should arise I have to believe it's going to be tough for teams like Pittsburgh or even Cincinnati to pass up the opportunity to trade out if some dolt team is willing to move up. Could be hard for Uncle Ted to find a trading partner.
He'll trade with the Jets or Patriots or some other AFC team that's desperate.
NFC teams are petrified of trading with him

Okay here is my final mock before the draft:
Round 1โฆPick 26
TRADED
*Packers trade their round 1 (26) and round 5 (159) picks to the Buffalo Bills for their round 2 (41) and round 3 (71) picks. Buffalo jumps up to take Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib. Thereโs been a lot of talk recently about Buffalo trying to jump back into the end of round 1 to grab Nassib (unless they take him 8th overall which is unlikely). Thereโs also been a lot of talk that the Jaguars really like Nassib and they hold the 1st pick in round 2. Buddy Nix doesnโt make many jumps, but his new HC may convince him that Nassib is their QB of the future and they need to make a move to get him.
Round 2โฆPick 41 (from Buffalo)
RB Eddie LacyโฆAlabama
6โโฆ220 lbs.
*Big body with a very strong, well-built lower bodyโฆhas enough speed to be dangerous, but wonโt outrun DBsโฆincredibly powerful runner who is very difficult for defenses to bring downโฆcomes from a mutliple scheme that utilizes zone runs, man runs and multiple formations including Pistol, Read Option, Single Back, I-Form, etcโฆGives a solid effort in pass pro, but needs some technique workโฆWill struggle with the new rule about ballcarriers lowering their headsโฆDoes not have a lot of miles as he has only been the feature back for 1 seasonโฆGreat acceleration to the line and hits the hole very hardโฆno off-field problems.
Compares to: RB Frank GoreโฆSan Francisco 49ers
Round 2โฆPick 55
DE Margus HuntโฆSouthern Methodist
6โ8โโฆ280 lbs.
*Huge frame with room to add another 20 lbsโฆFreakish athleticism and strengthโฆVery long arms with big handsโฆGreat motor and gives a ton of effortโฆStill learning how to play football as he has only played for 4 yearsโฆHas improved every seasonโฆSet records for blocking kicksโฆLooks like an ideal 34 EndโฆHas a ton of upside and with proper coaching could be an elite player.
Compares to: DE Justin SmithโฆSan Francisco 49ers
Round 3โฆPick 71 (from Buffalo)
WR Ryan SwopeโฆTexas A&M
6โโฆ200 lbs.
*Good size with a strong buildโฆVery polished route runnerโฆGreat handsโฆHas deceptive speed and quicknessโฆGreat candidate for any receiver position on the field, but looks more natural in the SlotโฆGives a great effort as a blocker
Compares to: WR Wes WelkerโฆDenver Broncos
Round 3โฆPick 88
OL David QuessenberryโฆSan Jose St.
6โ5โโฆ295 lbs.
*Tall with a great frame and definitely room to add more weightโฆHas long arms and does a good job extending and keeping DL away from his bodyโฆQuick off the snapโฆVery fast and controlled when getting to the second level and rarely misses his manโฆTechnique oriented player who anchors well against the pass and seals off defenders with his body in the run gameโฆHas good knee bend and gets surprising leverage for his heightโฆNot a mauler in the run game and will need to improve his strengthโฆVery consistent and does not give up on blocks.
Compares to: OT Jeff BackusโฆDetroit Lions
Round 4โฆPick 122
NT Kwame GeathersโฆGeorgia
6โ5โโฆ340 lbs.
*Absolutely massive human being with a big lower bodyโฆBetter athlete than player at this point, but has a TON (pun intended) of upsideโฆHas a nasty bull rush and makes walking an OL back look easyโฆVery difficult to move off the lineโฆAlthough heโs hard to move, he too often doesnโt get leverage resulting in stalemates at the lineโฆWhen he does get leverage he has the ability to easily shed the blocker and attack the ballโฆWith some good coaching he could be outstanding in a rotation.
Compares to: NT Paul SoliaiโฆMiami Dolphins
Round 5โฆPick 159
TRADED
Round 5โฆPick 167 (Compensatory Pick)
TE Michael WilliamsโฆAlabama
6โ5โโฆ270 lbs.
*Big body TE with a big frame, long arms, and big handsโฆBest blocking TE in the entire draftโฆUses great technique as a blocker to go along with his raw power and holds up blocking DL and LBsโฆDeceptively athletic as a receiver and finds ways to get openโฆBadly underutilized as a receiver and should be a surprise in the NFLโฆVery well respected by teammates and coaches who single him out for his hard work and attitudeโฆContributes a lot on Special Teams.
Compares to: TE Jake Ballard...New England Patriots
Round 6โฆPick 193
OL Garrett GilkeyโฆChadron St.
6โ5โโฆ315 lbs.
*Absolutely dominant against lower level of competitionโฆBig, heavy guy who is a surprisingly smooth athleteโฆComes from a zone blocking scheme at Chadron St. and worked very well in itโฆVery nasty and competitive and blocks through and past the whistleโฆBends well and gets good leverageโฆPlayed LT in college but looks like a good candidate at OGโฆHard to gauge exactly how good he will be because his level of competition was so poor.
Compares to: OG Josh SittonโฆGreen Bay Packers
Round 7โฆPick 232
FB Zach BorenโฆOhio St.
6โโฆ250 lbs.
*Sledgehammer of a blockerโฆVery strong and stoutโฆVery assignment sureโฆ.Spent time at LB for OSUโฆSurprising ability as a ball carrier.
Compares to: FB Ovie MughelliโฆFree Agent

Ooh, another white WR.
Throw Montee Ball in there, and we have a winner
As long as it's guys we've heard of & not TT trying to get cute.
no safety?
Not enough SEC guys on GD's list.
Lacey's coming off a hamstring injury and they're wondering why he was out of shape and winded during this? cmoun

Looks solid but I really think someone falls in love with Hunt's potential and jumps on him earlier than 55.
This is as good as any since Margus Hunt was brought up. Really curious to see if any team spends a pick on the English discus thrower.
As an OSU homer, I'll be as excited with picking Boren as I was with picking AJ. Problem is....aside from Pickett former buckeyes turned packers haven't exactly set the world on fire.
Brockington was great until he forgot to duck once too many times.
I loved him running through some guy named Dick from Chicago.

Hunt would be very interesting. Raw, but possibly worth the risk.
Not sure why they would need a Wes Welker type of receiver.
No RB in the 1st round, just not worth it. QB league. Need guys to protect 'em or get after 'em.
Keep in mind that Hunt is 26 and only has 4 years of football experience period. Not every team will be willing to take on such a project...especially the ones who pick early as they want the flashy players who they think will help them win NOW. Hunt will need time and patience, but he has the raw ability to be an All-Pro.
As far as Swope, why wouldn't you want another dynamic slot receiver? Swope says he has studied both Wes Welker and Jordy Nelson, two guys that are versatile weapons who are nothing if not reliable. Why wouldn't we want two Jordy Nelson's or two Randall Cobbs?

Not worth a damn without one of these two:
