MT loses family members - in case you didn't know.

"He's a great player," Michigan State offensive coordinator Dan Roushar said of Te'o. "He runs sideline to sideline. He gets them lined up. He looks to be their leader on defense and makes a lot of great plays. You know, he's gonna play in the NFL, and you can see his qualities."

Agreed.
He's a top 25 player, top 15 if he tests well. I'd like to see him be a little more violent as a hitter, but he's a top talent none the less. I'd love it if the Packers could/would draft another elite ILB to pair with Bishop to create a duo like what San Fran has with Bowman and Willis.
Probably not. One article about the 2013 draft I read said it would be heavy on defense. My research hasn't indicated that yet. But if that is true, MT goes sooner than later. At this point I have no idea just how far up TT would have to trade to be sure he gets him.

MT had 2 interceptions and made numerous tackles yesterday against Michigan. He isn't hurting his draft stock any. I don't care what combine numbers this guy puts up, the film says he plays very effectively side line to side line - literally.
I was about to start a new topic on this, but searching before doing so found this one. So I'll just bump it.

While I haven't seen him play as much as I'd like as a lifelong Notre Dame fan (getting out to the sports bar the last couple of years has been tough), it seems to me that Manti's a high motor guy with some definite pass rushing skills, and great tackling technique. He's only the 8th player in Notre Dame history with over 300 tackles. It was mentioned that he could play well as an inside linebacker in the 3-4. How incredible could our linebacking corps be with Nick Perry and Clay Matthews on the edges, and Manti Te'o with Desmond Bishop inside?

Bring the Full Manti to Green Bay!

No.

Thompson will have to make a CMIII type move if he wants him.
Traditionally Notre Dame players tend to be a little overrated. That goes back to some of the recruiting pundits that seem to rate them a little higher (i.e. Tom Lemming) because of the ND mystique.

This guy might be an outlier because fundamentally he does a lot of things very well.
I like him, he's a good ILB, but he's not an elite ILB. He's not close to the kind of prospect Patrick Willis was, he's more similar to Nick Barnett was coming out and I anticipate he will be that kind of player. He will make Pro Bowls and rack up tackles, but in a 34 he won't be that true thumper that you need.

Ok that's all kinds of fu**ed up. If he truly made up this whole thing he's a friggin' loon.

Forever Kekua. Or Not.

That's not the kind of crazy I want on this team.
Watching ND play Bama, his reputation is also a fake. He was totally exposed in that game. Maybe it was an off night, but even so...

Let's wait to see if anyone else besides Deadspin reports it.

Yes. It's called covering your ass in a pathetic attempt to spin this as "OH HE GOT DOOPED!!".

This will get even uglier. Just wait for it..
