Something tells me Zimmer will accept a DC job, somewhere. I don't think he will be offered a head coaching job based on the way he threw players under the bus, in Minnesota.  I know those players are vikings players, but there's nothing like creating a contentious atmosphere in the locker room and expecting results from demoralized players. I really hate to see him go!

2 moribund franchises that have won a combined 2 playoff games over the past 11 years met in Minneapolis yesterday to determine which team would hurt its draft status more.

The Vikes "won" the game so they moved down a couple of spots to #12. The Bears don't have their own 1st round pick in the 2020 draft, so the loss was not that big of a deal either way.

The Vikes and Bears then proceeded to both fire their respective Head Coaches and GMs within 24 hours.

Somehow, these pathetic franchises are somehow better thanDetroit, which with yesterday's big victory climbed to 3-13-1 on the season. The Lions go into 2022 with some decent draft capital ... and Jared Goff under a significant contract at QB.

The three other NFC North teams have been the gift that keeps on giving to the Green Bay Packers.

Let's hope the Spielman/Zimmer & Pace/Nagy successors continue that tradition.

He's what, 63? And he's had some health issue. I think he is going to retire and spend more time with his smokeshow girlfriend.
