Per Rob D, LaFluer will keep Mike Pettine as DC
I was ready to ride with McD, but I like this hire better.
Has he fired Zook yet?

Me too.
Interesting...
Man do the Packers have a type:
Matt LaFleur - 39 years old - Titans OC (1 year)
Mike McCarthy - 43 years old - 49ers OC (1 year)
Mike Sherman - 46 years old - Seahawks OC (1 year)
Mike Holmgren - 44 years old - 49ers OC (3 years)
(Yes I'm ignoring Ray Rhodes. Do not @ me.)
What if he withdraws and goes back to Tennessee?
Young, creative offensive mind I like it
go PACK go
Start firing and getting assistants. It's definitely a head start.
The only thing I dislike is he's younger than 95% of the regular posters here.

Is his name Josh?
I really have no idea if Mayonnaise LaFluer (it will stick) is good or not. I'm hoping he offsets how green he is by bringing in a OC who has some experience and success, maybe a guy like Mike McCarthy (who happens to be nickname proof).
Anyone have a clue what his sideline face is like?

Well, whatever it is Mayoface's lack of discipline will be evident in a 2 second sideline shot.

Thing is, he was right for the price of a fourth round pick. Cousins, despite his flaws, is a bargain in that round. Better than a punter.
LaFleur likes to and commits to, wait for it....
RFTB. Unlike McStubborn who talked about it, LaFleur will run the football.
He's also played QB. That's probably a bigger deal then we realize when it comes to Aaron.
Dude on nfl.com said he'll use Aaron Jones more than 4 times a game!
Like this choice a lot. Like heâs keeping Pettine it sounds like.
His first order of business should be hunkering down with AR for a few days.
And let Pettine hire his own D staff.
How WILL they replace Moss?
Oh and fire Zook
With a cannon.
Into the side of a mountain.
He is one of my top 4, so I have no issue with this. The fact that he worked under McVay is an added bonus. Maybe that opens a door for Zac Taylor as OC?
Impressed.
How hilarious would it be if he brought Kevin Stefanski in as the new OC?

Whatever it may be, it will be nice to have a physically fit coach prowling the sidelines.

One of those clowns that you punch and they spring back upright would be an improvement!
Great news! People wanted a young innovator who would do things differently than MM, this is your guy. Not a retread. Good news that heâs keeping Pettine, now our guys get to build on what they accomplished and move forward. Coaches that favor one side or the other often fail because they donât hire well for the opposite coordinator.
Iâm excited to see where this team goes from here. The good news is that our team was incredibly dysfunctional and we still won basically 7 games, so solving the dysfunction and were right back in the playoff hunt. MFer is going to have some tools to work with!
Reading through the interwebs...
Falcons fans had positive things to say, saw a couple mention that they wanted him to replace Kyle Shanahan when he departed.
Titans fans? P-I-S-S-E-D. They were more angry that it means yet another OC for Mariota but still I haven't found anything that suggests anyone's happy about this move.

No, Into & under the Marianas Trench - I don't ever want to see that disgusting display of Special Teams ever again.
Now this is a young, fresh face..
Load up. Better be a busy offseason. Really hope he can bring in solid assistants.
Obviously the Gase and McDaniels personalities weren't going to fly. Not surprised when you have a highly intelligent QB running the offense.

Yep, the constant negative on both Gase and McDaniels was their "my way or the highway" approach. Given the muddled Packer chain of command, that would be a formula for backstabbing in an attempt for power over personnel decisions, etc.
Can we get Zimmer to change his name to Matt? The Matt Division has a nice ring to it.

Me too. I just couldnât imagine Rodgers and McDaniels existing together in the same space. Who would be the adult?
So this guy has two years of experience as an OC in the NFL. Am I reading that right?

My guess is that they think this guy will work WITH Rodgers instead of telling him how to play. Sounds like that was a big issue with MM, Rodgers wanted to do one thing and MM something different.
