@globejimmcbride: Tough news out of Foxborough: #Patriots RB Dion Lewis out for the season with torn ACL per team source.

He's been a bit of an X factor for them this season. Maybe James White will get the chance to slide into that role.

Jordan Hicks was having one crazy rook season. 3 forced fumbles, 2 picks, a pick 6, 3 passes defended. Leading the Eagles in tackles. Sucks if he has to sit the rest of the year out.

Wow.

@AdamSchefter: Andrew Luck: partial tear of an ab muscle and a laceration in 1 kidney. Out 2-6 weeks, per team.

@JasonLaCanfora: Colts say no surgery required for Luck but he will obviously need some time to heal.

Was injured in 4th quarter, finished game.

Failure of organization to build an even semi-competent OL for him warrants some firings.

Next 6 wks:
1 Bye
2 at Atl
3 TB
4 at Pit
5 at Jax
6 Houston

Can you think of another OL that is currently in the same boat?

Just going with the eyeball test from Colts' games I've seen the past couple seasons. Luck has taken some hellacious shots.

Meanwhile:

@WesHod: The two other quarterbacks on #Colts' payroll are former #Packers, separated by 15 years:

Matt Hasselbeck (1998-2000)

Matt Blanchard (2015)

Could be la fin.

@AdamSchefter: Denver's Peyton Manning has torn plantar fascia in right foot, league sources tell ESPN. Manning was battling plantar fasciitis; worsened.

The local Denver sport guys are saying they heard this news on the QT last week

This is terrible.

@RapSheet: #Rams WR Stedman Bailey was shot twice in the head while sitting in a car with 2 young relatives & his cousin. He is stable in a Miami ICU.

@RapSheet: Stedman Bailey will have surgery tomorrow. The driver was shot many times, shielding the kids from bullets. His wounds are life threatening.

@AdamSchefter: Rams on Stedman Bailey: "We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition." Shot twice in head.

Broken leg from Sunday's game.

@ Albert Breer: Cardinals place RB Chris Johnson on IR-designated to return. Next game he'd be eligible to play: Super Bowl 50.

Good luck with that.
