Damn, that's tough.  These MRSA infections are scary b/c of how little you can do to treat them.  Hopefully Fells will be able to walk after they're done with treatment.

I guess the bright side of this awful, awful situation is that he'll be able to get a pretty sizable settlement, setting himself up for life.   Pretty sure Carl Nicks and LeCharles Bentley did when their careers ended due to staph infections.  Giants seem to be a pretty stand up organization, so doubt they'll fight this too hard.

Link to the Daniel Fells story.

Scary stuff, but it's not an isolated incident.

Several N.F.L. teams have had MRSA outbreaks. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had three players who were infected in 2013, including the former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes. Tynes has retired and is suing the Buccaneers, claiming that unsanitary conditions led to his infection.

John Sullivan was interviewed this afternoon and when asked if he was worried about someone targeting his back he said 'It'll get tested every day in practice by a 340-pound Linval Joseph, but as far as someone just coming up and hitting me in the back, nah, Suh's no longer in the division.'

Big loss. But Brady's mobility will mitigate the effects

@AlbertBreer: Per @globejimmcbride, Patriots LT Nate Solder is out for the season with a torn right biceps.

@PFF_Sam: Tom Brady is averaging a hair over 2 seconds (2.06) per attempt. No team better equipped to mitigate loss of a LT.

Expect more pick plays from Tommy and Co.

Johnny Highball got pulled over earlier this week. Drinking involved. Little domestic violence. Girlfriend says Johnny Boilermaker pushed her head into a window.

Details, like Johnny ScotchnWater's future, are sketchy.

passing a car on the shoulder is so high school...  well so is arguing in the car with your girlfriend and passing like that to scare the **** out of her cuz your so dumb and, in this case, entitled.

otoh, I'm not sure I ever head johnny say he actually quit drinking.  just that he went to rehab.  it doesn't seem to have taken.  don't care about the drink but roid raging down the highway with someone you supposedly care for and putting folks at risk - entitled brat is still there.

Sooner or later the Browns are going to have to make the choice to cut the little prick free and cut their losses.

I'd recommend sooner, but that ship has already sailed.

It is really, really unfortunate the Browns took that clown because he was destined to be a Viking or Cowboy and the implosion would have been so much more spectacular.

But its business as usual in C-Town.  Making stupid decisions is what the Browns do - and they do it very well

Probably the end for him. UDFA. Very good career.

@JasonLaCanfora: MRI confirmed torn Achilles for Arian Foster. Done for the season and generally a 6-9 month injury. Quite possibly ends his time in Houston.
