That's because McCarthy doesn't give a sh!t.

#Packers WR Jared Abbrederis beats CB Randall Jette deep, and CBs coach Joe Whitt falls to the ground. Rough first day for DBs. It's early.
Masthay dominates in Td 2 against Mortell. Three good high punts against a strong wind. Mortell had two under 30 yards.
Still have to wait until Eddie Lacy is in pads. Preseason is real test. But #Packers RB noticeably slimmer from OTAs, no comparison to 2015.
From today's tweets, QB Brett Hundley and rookie Trevor Davis are having stellar days.
It was kinda cool watching ESPN this AM and seeing them show the players riding the bikes to the practice field. Gotta be an insane experience for rookies. First day of NFL training camp, and people lined up watching you practice.
Gotta say though, I know it's just the first day and all they showed was the bike ride from Lambeau to practice, but it sure appears that Janis is still Janis.
First, he takes a kid's bike, takes the wrong route and ends up at a Cabela's instead of practice. Then when he finally did get back on the right path after Rodgers screamed at him, this...
lol
@TomSilverstein: Hundley has gotten the defense to jump several times with hard count.
Wonder where he picked that up from?

The PUP list seems to be the Ellis Island for new Packer players.
So much for "defense is way ahead early in camp" meme.
Things will pick up once they put the pads on Thursday.

This would really screw with Janis' day.

Hundley's hard counts are ruining the game! Unprofessional! The "stutter count" has no place in professional football! We're above this! Coaches know better! Our players are only kids!

Flashback (for context):
From what it sounds like, we'll be sorry that Hundley didn't come along five years from now when AR was thinking retirement. Now we'll lose him... but in TT we trust for a replacement!
You never know when your QB might start the teary season end press conferences.
There's Davis' one-handed catch.
Eddie from day 1 last year.
Uh oh. Jordy is on PUP due to "tweaking" his other knee while working out
Jordy Nelson said he had a "hiccup" with his other knee, not the ACL knee. He said Week 1 is not in jeopardy but doesn't know when he'll practice in camp.
Per reports, Phat Eddie in 2015 started packing on more pounds around October and November. So while he is noticeably bigger in those 2015 TC pics, keep in mind he added another 10-15 pounds as the season went on. Bad Bob reported at his peak, he ballooned to around 265
Does Bob work at the carnival?
From Jordy:
Jordy Nelson said he's on PUP because he tweaked his other knee while working out. "It's not the ACL. No one needs to freak out."

I think that's why MM's reluctant to give 27 too much praise for his conditioning.
Nothing gets you prepped for the stretch run like China food.

The girl in the pic from 2015....
Looks eerily similar to the girl in the pick from camp today...
What in the name of Willow Smith are you up to Eddie Lacy? I didn't miss those sick new purple forks for 2016 either. Bike parts aren't like buying a dozen bean burritos.
if I see one more pic of Lacy.... sheesh, I know what he looks like, let the guy play. he's addressed it, we'll see what happens. or start a thread with a Daily Lacy Pic so anyone who wants can fret away whether he's gained a pound or two from the day before.

That's even more awesome than it seems at first.
The kid is stacking skills...
So you're saying he lived around the corner as a kid too?

It's the first day of camp with a guy who is notorious for letting himself get out of shape and he's coming off a season where it significantly affected his play. It became such a problem that the coach cut his playing time during the season and called him out on it at the end of last season. We could probably count on one hand the number of times MM has called out a player's conditioning and never the way he did with Lacy.
With Lacy it's never a pound or two, it's 15 or 20. The last time he was seen wasn't from the day before, it was from a month before.
Eddie has no one to blame for the circus but himself. I really like the guy, but he's a big part of this team and the shape he's in is going to be an issue until he proves it isn't. His physical condition is relevant, for today especially. I respect your decision not to care about it, but other fans certainly will and with good cause. That's why I posted the pic.

just to clarify, titm, my post was not directed at any one person. it's the totality of them that made me snap.

Don't some players pick the same person's bike every year (at least until the kid gets too old)? And even get to know the kids' families a bit?
you are correct fedya
I hear you Tdog, it's been a saga. Hopefully he has it under control and it goes away.

pretty sure Cobb has the same kid from last year, too.

After watching/listening to his post practice interview at his locker he says he's done talking about it, so hopefully that attitude/disposition on the subject keeps him motivated to keep the weight and conditioning under control.
