It has always been a sport of skill and strategy and the tush push doesn't really have any of either.
The scrum is the least interesting part of rugby for me...that's how I feel about the TP.
Also from the above link:
The Packers finish 7th overall, with the team receiving strong scores for their food/dining program along with their dietician, weight room, and training room. Last year, they upgraded the playersβ meeting room and added an underground parking facility. Although these areas are not formally captured in the Report Cards, it demonstrates the teamβs commitment to improve the playersβ daily experience.
The most common area the players feel is in need of improvement is the locker room. While the space is sufficient, players believe it should be renovated and upgraded.
When asked what the team currently does best, players praise the team culture which is reflected in strong ratings for head coach Matt LaFleur and President/CEO Mark Murphy.
The players like the sledding hill.
Did they rate the nightlife? Is the sledding hill lit?

Damn. An A- gets you 20th? Tough crowd
Not happening with his current contract...no one taking on that much cap.
Sources: The #Packers have had trade conversations centered around star CB Jaire Alexander and they are open to moving him for the right price.

Alexander, still just 28 and a two-time Pro Bowler, is considered to be the most decorated CB available. pic.twitter.com/rOF3qsBn1z

Grade inflation is real.
It's real, and it's spectacular.

I think his redoing a contract with a new team wouldn't be nearly as big an issue as teams being leery of his health and his attitude.
Ja/Packers would need to show that Alexander is healthy and Ja would need to sell that he's focused and bought into wherever he'd go.
The innerwebs keep speculating about a Joe Bosa for Jaire Alexander trade from the Bolts. Bosa has similar injury concerns, a high contract, and it seems the Bolts have soured on Bosa much like GB has with Alexander.
Not holding my breath that happens, but it's an AFC opponent and each team could have interest in moving on.
Edit: Chargers send Joey Bosa to Packers in depressing trade proposal

Most decorated must mean most bandages.

The head coaching rankings are kind of odd. The Chargers head coaching is a B+ but the Dolphins get an A+? The Cowboys have an A but the Packers have an A-?
Jax would be a very plausible trade partner for Ja.
This is a great shout. The kind of team that should take a shot on Alexander https://t.co/fL25HU3VQL

This, but if what packerboi is proposing with the Chargers I might blow him.

Damn as much as like what Bosa has done in his career do you trade a CB with an injury history and a possible attitude problem for another player who has a similar if not worse injury track record and possible attitude problem?
I say they should do the best they can to fleece a desperate team like Jax to see what they can get at this point.
If they trade him, Iβm hoping for a 4th as thatβs probably the best-case scenario, unless they do a turd trade.
It also enhances the need at CB.
Listened to a lot of podcast opinions on the topic this morning. I think it was Rob Demovsky who polled different NFL execs and the compensation for Alexander ranged form a mid round (4th / 5th), to a late round, to nothing. So Hershal may be correct, a 4th rounder is probably best-case. As far as what we do at CB, Bukowski had some interesting observations. He thinks that although the Packers will address CB in Free Agency, it will not be a top line guy, and they will not use a top draft choice on the position either. He thinks resources will be maximized on getting an edge rusher first and then a WR.
They'd be better off keeping Ja than trading for less than a 3rd.
How frustrating that we need an Edge rusher when top picks were spend on Gary and LVN.
I say pull the trigger for Bosa if the trade is real. Gute can't draft defense but his pro scouts are money.
Have you taken note of the premium draft picks that have been spent in the defensive backfield over the past 11 years? Thatβs even more frustrating

Look at it this way: itβs a designed leverage situation. Itβs already illegal on Special Teams, etc. for example. To defend it, focusing on pushing a player through as a wedge buster would also open the players to elevated injury risk.
At one time, I thought the rule was a player couldn't "assist the runner".
Apparently that morphed into "it's OK to push a runner forward , but not to pull a runner forward".
The simple solution, IMHO, is to go back to the former rule.
That seems like a lot to give up for Metcalf. But he is a good RAC guy.
1st round pick, Doubs and a day 3 pick. Yikes
Anyway to hold on to that R1 pick and swing it I'd be good
I'd love to see DK challenging Jaire in practice...
Gutekunst would be insane to make that trade. Metcalf would want a new contract and he'd have to be paid top of the market, when he's not a top tier WR. Couple that with the fact there is no primary target in LaFleur's offense, it makes no sense to spend that kind of capital (picks and cap).

I read it as we give up #23 and either Doubs or Wicks, and get Metcalf and one of Seattle's early day 3 picks. In addition, it seems likely we are going to get a draft choice for Alexander.

If that's true, there's no way Metcalf is worth all that. He ain't Sterling Fucking Sharpe.
Don't worry though......let Gutey cook. He's a good negotiator.
Also.....trade Doubs? Ok ....not Wicks....NOT WICKS!! Why? Because not if....but WHEN he starts catching the ball, he's going to hit the next level. Y'all just watch
"If wishes were horses, beggars would ride..."
If he doesn't do it by game 5 or even 3, I don't think he'll make it in GB.
Sounds like a lot of smoke and mirrors to drive up the interest in DK.
According to a source, there has been no contact or negotiations as of now between the Packers and Seahawks regarding a DK Metcalf trade.

Don't forget that there's always talk this time of year linking players to the Packers to help drive up player interest because the Packers don't confirm or deny these reports.

Let Gutey Cook? What are examples of well negotiated contracts? I'm not saying that it's never happened but I can't think of any off of the top of my head.

Vets who got extended in GB over the past 2-3 years include Kenny Clark, Jordan Love, Rashan Gary, De'Vondre Campbell, Rasul Douglas, and Jaire Alexander.
Other than Love (hopefully), tough to argue that GB has gotten commensurate value out of any of these re-signings.

Yup. But Gutey is great. I would bet a lot of money that GB wonβt win a title with him.
