Watching McManus's kicks, the lack of all the anxiety that used to come with FG attempts was almost jarring. It was like the morphine finally just kicked in.
$5M a year for a good kicker isn't out of line. Guys can kick into their 40's...maybe the Packers think McManus is one of those guys.
Good kickers are underrated and can mean the difference between winning it all and not even making the playoffs.

DK...6 years younger and can still take the top off a defense. Not even close.
Except that getting DA won't cost us in a trade.
The other thing in Adams favor is that you only have to sign him to a two year contract. I'm sure Metcalf is going to want a 4 year deal. Metcalf does fit what we need at the moment better but Adams may be better for us "big picture"
I'm less concerned with cap-friendly deals and more concerned with what will equate to more wins on the field. DK does that more than 17 IMO.

Behind every picture of Tom Brady with rings or trophies, is the face of Adam Vinatieri smiling, as if to say "you're welcome." All Tom had to do was get to the 30. The rest was money.

This wasn't happening no matter where the draft is held. In most years Gutey guards draft picks with his life. This year is the deepest draft in a decade because it's the final year of COVID eligibility kids, plus fewer and fewer kids have been coming out early because of NIL. For that reason, I don't see him dealing any 2025 picks...if he deals picks it will be 2026 picks.
Also of note, this class is the oldest it's been in a long time, again because fewer kids coming out early. Green Bay's tendency to take younger players is going to be broken because so many of the best prospects are 22, 23 even 24 years old.

The Packers were probably looking at Bostick's RAS score which showed he had elite leaping ability to go up and high point passes (or onside kicks that had gone into the air).

Pass rusher. Helps the CB at the same time
Edge, CB, WR etc all needed via trade, draft or FA. Of those, CB seems the toughest for a rookie with WR probably a little easier transition.
Packers could easily double dip in FA and the draft. Grab a FA CB and Pass Rusher, then take those same positions in the first 3 rounds.
They did precisely that with signing Xavier, then drafting Javon Bullard in the 2nd. Signed Josh Jacobâs , then took Marshan Lloyd in the 3rd

Yes all those plays happened before the Bostick bungle and any of those plays couldâve avoided it
As much as we need a legit #1 receiver in GB, I dont think DK is the answer. Dude is a cancerous diva.
Well thanks for the Seahawks game memories. Now I have to dig out my "forgettin" bottle again.
With all of the high priced vets getting an early toe in FA perhaps a few of the players Gute is seriously interested my be more affordable now. If we aknowledge reality that Bosa or Garrett et al are not coming to Gb I am hoping the scouting staff and the medical folks do their homework on guys like Paulson Adeebo, DJ Reed or Malcom Koonce from the Raiders. I just don't see a 30 million dollar headache (DK) coming to Gb especiaally as Seattle will want significant assets. Better Chance Jayden Higgins (Jordy Nelson) arrives early on Friday Night via a trade up or back than a Brinks Truck bringing DK to town

I genuinely feel bad for Bostick when that was a real true total team meltdown and failure. His mistake stood out but it was just 1 of like 10 mistakes and he wasnât responsible for 9 of them.
I think more realistic FAs for the Packers are guys like; edges; Dayo Odeyingbo or Mack. WR- Adams, CB- Adeebo. Go after a defensive lineman in the First Round and then stock up on depth for the o-line and CB in the next couple of rounds.
