Itβs one thing that he disregarded the play but for Allahs sake, CTFB.
@packerboi posted:Packers could easily double dip in FA and the draft. Grab a FA CB and Pass Rusher, then take those same positions in the first 3 rounds.
They did precisely that with signing Xavier, then drafting Javon Bullard in the 2nd. Signed Josh Jacobβs , then took Marshan Lloyd in the 3rd
Yep! I'd double up, again, if I were Gute. Draft the best player at CB or WR or Edge/OLB and look for a FA fit at each position.

The worst play was the Burnett interception. I understand not wanting to risk a fumble, but even if Burnett runs diagonally to the sideline to get out of bounds, he picks up 20 more yards before anyone is near him.
Also, all 5 Seahawks skill players were out the play and the only guys he had to deal with were the 5 offensive lineman and Russell Wilson. If Peppers just turns around and blocks the one offensive lineman, Burnett probably scores. Still inexplicable over 9 years later. At least Bostick, for his idiocy in not following what they'd been coached to do, was trying to make a play.

Nice comments on 17 possibly returning and Watson's "readiness" for the 2025 season...

Yeah, this one rankles me the most, even more than idiot Bostick. It was a Pick Six. Burnett would have stiffarmed Russ.
Inexplicable decision by Peppers.

We can move on to debating whether they should have gone for two the following year?
Wait. Are we done with the whole T.J.Watt thing? I was gonna say that next.

Nine years ago, I was doing some house repairs and accidentally hit my thumb with the hammer. Didn't break my thumb, but it was pretty useless for about two months. And it hurt like hell!!
This morning, for no apparent reason, I decided to hit my thumb again with a hammer.

I think there's medication for that. Dr Bob would know.
Brian Gutekunst should be very interested. https://t.co/DRCPPbA1vi

It's become a regular self flagellation ritual here to revisit that game. People just can't help themselves. I think we all still have demons from that afternoon that still need letting.

Imagine living in Minny or Buffalo. π΅βπ«

I go back to Mike McCarthy telling his brother before the game that they were going to the SUper Bowl. He had a decent plan, but many made bad decisions at key times, all of which were necessary for the Seahawks to get the win.
I finished my forgettin bottle. What were we talking about?
Don't you mean Holmgren being checked out thinking of the HC/GM job? Either SB 32 when Denver cheated on the salary cap to win, or the following year, when Jerry Rice fumbled.

I choose happiness instead.

When all you've got is a hammer, (and four empty cans of beer), everything looks like a nail.
