I just like saying "Carlyle Holliday." Kind of a mind **** for the tongue.
I mean, "Turd Ferguson" is always fun...

How about Joe Thomas for Joe Thomas?
OH, I TOTALLY DIG THAT GBFanForLife!
Ding. Ding. Ding. We have a winner! Kelly, tell him what he's won!

Shouldn't we?
We've got arguably the best QB in the NFL, and the 2nd most important position on the team is LT, for good reason. Shouldn't we have a good backup LT?
This response seems appropriate to re-post.

The real problem is the number of NFL teams. The impact of injuries would diminish if the talent pool wasn't spread so thin.
If the lack of depth in the NFL talent pool is the problem, I don't see it getting any better with all the concussion backlash. Fewer numbers to pull from.
Marshall Newhouse is the starting RT for the New York Football Giants and he wasn't even good enough to be a back-up in GB. Breno Giacomini ? Starting RT for the J-E-T-S
Perhaps that speaks to the availability of "competent" NFL OTs...
Who cares? You wouldn't trade a high pick from next year away for a LT who could start? Cover Rodgers' backside? Do we really know Bulaga is the answer at LT if Bakhtiari goes down?
I'm pretty sure they know they have a "competent" backup LT in Bulaga who would be better than anybody they could acquire at this point. And trading a high pick from next year for that mythical LT? I hope you don't run into TT at the grocery store.
Christ. x4, not for pussies may be coming into play shortly.

There are plenty of "competent" third tackles around the league.
To put your above example into proper context, Newhouse is only starting because Will Beatty got hurt in OTAs. Otherwise he'd be the third tackle. Giacomini has developed into a pretty good player. It just took him a while. So maybe Vujnovich will be that competent third tackle for the Packers... in 2017.

Personally, I wouldn't count Marshall as competent, but I do agree on Guacamole, he turned into a decent player
Henry came with the purchase/transfer of X4 many years ago...
Its not unlike having asbestos in your building - its simply cheaper and safer for everyone to live with it than to go through the hassle & hazards of trying to remove it

Anybody got any insight on if or when Abederus (sp) will be returning to practice?
Opie says he'll be running at the #1 position with a guaranteed 1500 yard 10 TD season. OH BOY!
Anybody got any insight on if or when Abederus (sp) will be returning to practice?
That was today. Speculation from the media is he must be getting very close.
3, maybe 4, weeks now and he is still going through the concussion protocol. I doubt he ever plays in the NFL.
I agree.
I think that's a jinx, just different threads.

Funny you mention it. He returned to practice for the first time since the concussion today, watching from the sidelines. That is an indicator that he is close to finishing his concussion protocol.
Also funny because he probably cuts on a dime better than anyone still on the 2015 roster, besides Cobb. Hopefully, the kid can bounce back and have a nice career here in GB. I have the same doubts, but, would like to see him be a player here.
I bet we could trade him for Joe Thomas to fill in at T.
Henry, you are batsh!t crazy. What an awesome idea!
Bill Schroeder light, er, Cory Bradford white, er, Jeff Janis will save us.
bigger jeff query.
Query could cut and work from the slot.
that's true. Abrequery?
If Johnny Z were here, he'd go apeschit on you right now.

Word.
But you can't teach 6'5.
And you can't teach speed either.
Aside from a character issue (that'd be my only guess), seems quite odd he'd be cut. Even with Gerg on that roster.
If the office has interest. Mike will call Joe and ask why the guy was dropped this quickly.

God**n it, Henry! You're a godd**ned genius! That's the most outstanding answer I've ever heard. You must have a god**ned I.Q. of a hundred and sixty! You are god**ned gifted, Henry!
McCarthy said this morning that Bakhtiari is progressing and he wouldn't play Sat if he doesn't practice. The way he stumbled through the answer I got the impression he is getting much closer. If not Bakhtiari it sounds like it will be Barclay again.
I wish they would give someone else a shot. Tretter or Walker couldn't be worse, could they? Tretter was the backup T last year, at least let him compete for the job this year.
Barclay has been a complete turnstile.
