Saturday practice:

@TyDunne: So for today, Barrington (illness) returned. Rodgers (calf), Goodson (illness), Nelson (personal reasons) out. Team was in pads.

Interesting that B.J. Raji has been around all year. Surely he's hoping to be back next year. [Poster's note: I agree.]

MM in a great mood but in a hurry -- his girls have middle school basketball games (sure remember those days!).

@packers: McCarthy: Very good practice. We had a number of things we wanted to focus on. I thought team work was great...all competitive.

@packers: McCarthy: It's always good to be in pads.

@packers: McCarthy: It doesn't matter who comes out of the south end zone tunnel on Jan. 11, we'll be ready to go.

after practice today:

โ€œJust as we left the field, we said whatever happens here the next two days is totally irrelevant,โ€ McCarthy said. โ€œThis is about us. Itโ€™s not about who comes out of the south end zone tunnel at noon on the 11th.

Weโ€™ll be ready to go.โ€

If they play up to their abilities, the opponent is irrelevant. Love it

Just posted on packers.com:

Packers sign C Madsen to practice squad

The Green Bay Packers have signed C Joe Madsen to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Saturday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Madsen, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound, first-year player out of West Virginia University, was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a non-drafted free agent on April 27, 2013. He was released by the Steelers on Aug. 31, 2013. Madsen played for the Los Angeles KISS during the 2014 Arena Football League season, appearing in 16 games. He will wear No. 74 for the Packers.

People still whine about the Rice no call fumble so therefore it's forever

I work with a Baltimore Colt fan who still gets upset talking about the fact that Don Chandler actually missed the winning FG in the 1965 NFL championship game.
