Are they YUGE and made in CHINA.
almost assuredly......
I swear this has to be some sort of a movie script we have to be living in a simulation

I already have some!!!!!!!
I will be his biggest cheerleader
until he fux up

That one miss better be in a game the Pack is up 45-10 with 2 minutes to go.
Enough of the missing kicks bullshit. Christ we saw Buffalo and the Jets miss kicks last night too.
Not sure what's up with Tyler Bass, he has been pretty reliable coming into this season. That missed XP was one of the ugliest kicks I've ever seen.

He did that last year as well. Lot of knuckle ball kicks from Earnest T.
That's the thing I like about Gute. He doesn't just draft the position. He signs players as well.

Sounds like he already did, and on a plane, no less.
FG kicking from 40-49
— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) October 16, 2024
Carlson/Narveson (2023-24): 9/17 -- 52.9 percent
McManus (career): 72/82 -- 87.8 percent
This is a massive upgrade at kicker based on track record
Hope this fixes it.
First 12 minutes detail the reasons McManus was available. Make of it what you will. In my mind, if Gutey signed off, he did his homework and believes it's not a big enough issue to prevent signing him.
I've settled on "McManchild" given his epic leg strength, and the fact he's fond of da skrip club...
Gutekunst said the team is comfortable with the NFL investigation into Brandon McManus. They talked before signing him and he feels “really good” about it. pic.twitter.com/hRFQ2kmrNq

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Doesn't sound that desperate. NFL conducted their investigation. Lots of he-said she-said from the sounds of it. Not like there was video evidence of him smacking a woman (Mixon, Kareem Hunt).
Gutey said the team did its due diligence and time will tell. Suspect the very limited options forced his hand a bit.

The NFL Interviewed 30 different people regarding the incident & a Judge ruled they couldn't keep their anonymity. Sounds like a misunderstanding and there is absolutely Z-E-R-O chance Gutey signs him unless they got the signoff from the league plus did their own due diligence.
Lotsa he said she said in this one. Just like Doubs....you don't know what you don't know and he's been cleared by the League. It's a non-story IMO.
Now kick fucking accurately!!!!! And END THIS!
Brandon McManus said the civil lawsuit involving him has been resolved. More from the new Packers kicker in a bit.

Didn't know the civil suit was off the table.
I don't care that his name starts with Bra and ends with Anus, as long as he makes his kicks.
Sucks to see fellow WolfPack alum get the boot but kid had his chance

You absolutely, positively cannot miss FG's less than 40 yards especially with zero pressure to make the kick..... It cannot happen.
I'm still going to be holding my breath all season long from the traumatization of the previous 2 (3?) kickers.
WE'LL NEVER FORGET YOU BRAYDEN!!
McManus is only a temp as they develop Hale?
Hale.... Has the overseas exemption I think?

McManus is like 33 and turns 34 this summer. So regardless if it's Hale or ?, he's not the long term answer at kicker. I'd be thrilled if he pans out this season and maybe he does well in 2025.
But the Packers need to find their 20 something K long term. Kickers in their mid 30's, even good ones like Crosby was, start to lose power around that age.
McManus still has a couple years to go IMO.
Just don't miss under 50 yards and everything will be great

There are what 120 or College football teams in this country? Surely, there has to be a kicker somewhere that can make some field goals. Hell bring some soccer players in for tryouts I don't care.

Kickers can do so well into their 40's...the leg loses a bit of distance as they age but as long as the accuracy stays it's fine. So you can't kick a 62 yarder any more and 55 is about max. Still better than most guys in their 20's.
This strikes me as a stopgap signing.

Just stopped in for the insights on aging kickers.

I don’t care what kind of gap. As long as the fucker can make field goals on a consistent basis

Problem is they are one of the hardest positions to scout for the NFL. How many of the current elite K were elite in college. Or even the solid but unexceptional? Then how many elite college kickers don't make it in the NFL? Lots of teams are looking for K's so it's not as easy as just going to the store. If it were, everyone would have one.
The next Brandon to kick for GB
Here you go for the future. HS kid nails a 49 yarder to win a game. West DePere is in the shadow of Green Bay so they have their home town kicker waiting in the wings.
Huber the Goober with the POOF piece...
“Did you look up the percentage from 50 and in?” Bisaccia asked.
With 208 makes in 229 attempts, it’s 90.8 percent.
“Pretty good,” Bisaccias said.
--------
Rich ....STFU and tell this mofo to make 9.9/10 from 49 yards & closer.
I'm still traumatized from the last 24 games
No better place to ask this question but there...but what is your thoughts on having to cheer for McManus? I'm having a moral dilemma here.
