True, but the guy on the left is even thinner...so Eddie still has a ways to go.
The guy on the left (Tony Horton) would end up on a flight for life chopper ride if Mike ran him on a trap draw 2 point attempt.
Not that it would ever happen.
That's because Mike doesn't go for two.
Worthy of it's own thread.
I'm in town. Eddie looked great at practice this morning.
Don't forget the cream cheese wontons...
Damn now I want china food.
That right knee looks horrible.
His left knee doesn't look good either....BTW....I couldn't see his right knee.
Stout.
Brett looks a bit thin to me
Aids
Eddie is eating Brett's share of the food.
All that Mississippi sun has him looking healthy. But why the "Just For Men" and the number change.
two manly men
Just 2 fellas out for a stroll.

That's a big lunch pail.....
Guess Eddie's stopped P90x'n. {$igh}
It has never been about how much he works out, it has always been about how much he eats.
Best FB in the history of Pro Football?
Dammit I'm so all in on 2016 I'm not letting drive throughs **** this up.
****!!!!!!!!
Judging by that picture, Eddie still looks fairly trim in the upper body, but his "bubble" is quite thick. Also looks like he's a little chubby in the face and that may be a tell-tale of weight gain.
4/5 starting OL up for new contracts.
Jared Cook up for a new contract and he's having the best TC/pre-season of his career.
Datone Jones/Nick Perry healthy and having good camps, up for new deals.
Just naming the above, if Eddie doesn't get that only so much money is there to go around and he needs to have a PRO BOWL level season to get a new deal...then fine, we'll watch him eat himself off this team.
I can easily see TT spending a 2nd-4th round pick in the next draft vs dealing with the ongoing saga of trying to keep Lacy's weight in check and paying him a 6-7 mil a year salary. With this pass happy NFL and having a HOF QB at the helm, it's just not worth the headache.
No single player lifts the whole team's psyche on game day like Eddie can.
Goddamn it but I want him to get his **** together.
I hope Lacy rushes for 2,000 yards this year.
I still think there is no way Ted resigns him.
In the 20+ yard rush he had where he was caught by the hair @SF last week, he didn't exactly wow me with his speed/explosiveness. And it was a LB coming in from behind that brought him down. I'd love nothing more then see him have a great year.
But let's just say I'm not holding my breath...
He is a far cry from this:

Eddie doesn't look like he's in Olympic shape but lets consider a little context on the "LB" who ran him down. Here's his draft profile:
"Former safety with short-area quickness to handle coverage responsibilities on multiple levels. Stays with running backs and tight ends in man coverage, comes off one target in zone to lay a hit on the underneath route."
"Flashes downhill speed to wrap up ballcarriers or force them into decisions. Active hands when engaged, willing to be physical. Works through traffic to the ball in tight quarters. Stays with receivers on short outs, can knock away the pass without interfering."
If the coaches are cool with Eddie, that's what matters. And when MM talked about it he said that the way they test these guys is with a Dexa Scan; that allows them to assess his fitness based on more than weight.
Bone density, body composition, oxygen capacity and lean muscle mass can all be measured and compared. Eddie's a big guy, always will be. So long as the ratio of muscle/bone/fat is good, he's good even if he "looks" husky to fans.
MM was clear, get it together or you don't play.
I'm pretty sure he's gonna play... and play well

Composite of typical X4 poster:
Does that say SCOOP under the star off his left shoulder?
Stonehenge on the display with an ad hominem man love panda judging his every move.
Way too much hair.
Oh!
And btw.
That highlight reel basically showed what we have seen. Good vision, hit the opponent when needed.
Whatever the point was, Eddie is not and has never been a breakaway back.
He looks, from what we have seen so far this year, more like 2012 than 2015, and I reckon will perform more as such. I will let the doubters be tallied as they are here at x4 never forgets.
I will just sit and giggle.
Let the angst times roll!
Lacy is going to have a productive year, the guy has great feet no matter what his weight is. Heck he even managed 89 yards running like a guard with a fumble vs. Cards in the playoffs. The point is that I don't see how anyone can look at his college tape & say that he was not better at that weight than he is now.
A bunch of grown men obsessing over the body of another sweaty, grown man.
He was also playing against college-level competition at that weight. A little different in the NFL.
Fat RBs get the best nicknames like Jerome "The Bus" Bettis or Craig "Ironhead" Heyward. What would Eddie be? Fat Hulk? Green Monster? China Food?

Just looking at his movement, change of direction, quickness in and out of cuts, spin move, there is no way he is better at 250 pounds than at 230. Have you ever heard a skill position player say "I want to gain 20 pounds of fat, I think that will make me a better player"?
