Red zone offense fails again and settles for 3

Hyde drops a game changing INT

Next play, Niners convert a 3rd and 10

Niners convert 3rd and 8 to get into FG range

those are the sequences that will always stand out for me from this game. They had chances....and they failed each and every time

why'd they even show up?

... didn't see anyone "rolling over" just pointing out that much like the Cowboys in the early 90's with us, the 49ers are just better than we are.

Is SF that much better at drafting?  I don't know.  I am just so pi**ed off right now.

..one thing is that for years they drafted in the top ten, that really helps.

Have to give them credit for the Reid pick.  They knew the guy was good and went up to get him.

Maybe TT has to start packaging draft picks and or players and move up into the top 10.

That's weak.

Why?  How many one and dones occurred in GB?

So getting to playoffs consistently and occasionally winning a Superbowl is failure?  Go soak your ****ing head.

Didn't think it would be this close. They battled. I give them credit. Clay might have been the difference had he been there. Hyde makes the pick and who knows? Cobb breaks the tackle near the endzone and scores and who knows?

Anyway, good job Pack. Way to ball out until the end.

I don't know about that.  I say TT would do better to trade for more 2nd round picks as he seems to do a lot better with his picks in the 2nd round.

Big guys with that kind of athletic ability don't come around very often.

I have to admit, would not mind that at all.

Shields may have been the difference.  Close enough game for me to be just moderately upset.  BTW, I still think we have better skilled position players on O than do the 49ers.  If our  O faced our D, it would be a blow out.

I'm not saying their group of WRs are better but one has to wonder how SF receivers kept running wide open while our guys almost never got any separation, whether they caught the ball or AR was sacked.

Shields, Tramon, Burnett, Matthews, Jolly. Would all be starting/playing many minutes for the Niners defense. Probably Perry & Neal too

It's a pretty thin line between winning & losing in the NFL. The Niners didn't blow out the Pack yesterday. The Pack had plenty of opportunity to win & didn't get the job done. That doesn't mean the Niners "are better than we are" like we have no shot to beat them.

Some of you are acting like we're the Raiders or Texans record wise

I thought the game would be close, but I thought the scoring would be higher. The weather definitely compressed the scoring. As much as I would like to fault the Packers offense, they stepped it up after the first quarter and kept stride with the niners. Their final red zone failure was a combination of the niners defense doing what they had to and McCarthy falsely thinking this defense could make a stop on the other end by going for the field goal. The difference was Krapernick doing what he did to the Packers last year, running all over the field when it counted. Is this players not executing? Well, to a certain degree. But how much do you really expect out of guys like Jarrett Bush? I'm still amazed the Packers won the division.

This. ^

Defense held the 49ers to 2 FGs even though the Packer offense did nothing in the first quarter and gained no FP......49ers ran 17 plays on the Packers side of the field in their first 2 drives.

People are just ticked and disappointed that we lost.  Being better doesn't equate to being a lot better.  I don't think anyone is saying GB CAN'T beat SF.  It definitely is a game of inches but when you beat a team 4 times in a row, twice in the playoffs, it's fair to say that team is "better".

Where was Cobb in the 1st half? As soon as he got involved in the 2nd half the Packers clicked. Except on the play where Cobb was in the backfield.  What the hell was that all about?

My big whine for this game... that stupid hand-off to Cobb... Every time it pops into my head it just seems worse and worse. That is just not a play to run in the red zone. It manages to be a gimmick, but without an element of misdirection. I can't think of a worse play call that I've seen. Ever. With most crappy plays you can at least see what they were trying to accomplish. But that? Pure garbage, waste of a play.

I gotta think it was due to the fact that the 49ers has a better D than ours.  Their receivers had more time to get open.

Not sure Perry makes that list just yet, but agree on everyone else and everything else you posted. Very thin line...

Here are my complaints:

1) Burnett, Doc, and House...learn how to tackle in space. Those guys take awful angles and miss so many tacklets. Burnett whiffing on the opening play led directly to Shields getting hurt. Meanwhile, Eric Reid (a rookie) makes a great open field tackle on Cobb keeping him out of the end zone.

2) Niners - it may be legal, but those cut blocks are dirty. Took out two of our LBs. WTF.

3) I'm so sick of reading about EDS's "blatant" hold on the Rodgers 4th down play. Yeah, he held. It was still an incredible effort by Rodgers. Meanwhile, Mike Daniels got clotheslined on the 3rd and 10 play to start that last drive when CK hit Crabtree for 17. That's just as bad as a no-call as the EDS. Refs were at least consistent there.

4) Same with PI...yes, House interfered with Crabtree on the 2nd FG and no flag. Guess what, Nelson was mugged on that down the field play...guy was on his back and grabbed his hands before the ball arrived. Once again, consistent no call, but one side gets the Harbaugh whining while the other one gets unnoticed.

5) Thank God House didn't block that FG...if he did, this place would combust when the flag came out.

Harbaugh is such a dick. he just said in his press conference ....."nothing makes me feel more like a man than beating your opponent.  Going in there and beating the elements really makes you feel like a man. "
